Yesterday (8/19/2025) I updated to Firefox v. 142 from v. 141.0.3. The Firefox update was the last thing I did prior to shutting down my computer. Today, when I booted up with version 142.0 many of my bookmarked websites don't work. I am using a iMac Retina 5k, 27-inch, late 2015 desktop computer using macOS Monterey v. 12.7.6

I called Apple tech department & explained my problem (see above). He had me delete the cookies for Firefox to see if that would correct the problems. It did NOT resolve the problems. He had me switch to Safari browser to see if I could the access the websites with which I was unable to access. I was able to do so. He stated that the problem was with Firefox and that he could NOT help me any further.

I have NOT used Safari for a decade or more and am NOT familiar with it because I found Firefox to be much better and easier to use. Until yesterday, I had NO problems. Now I am desperate to be able to continue to use Firefox but can't access important sites that had been available until the 142 upgrade. HELP, PLEASE

Using an Android tablet (OnePlus tab 3) I can use the pen to write in the address bar but I cannot use a pen to write in any text fields on websites while browsing in Firefox (on google.com for example, or writing this), which works on other browsers like Chrome or duckduckgo browser. The touch input of the pen is recognized to scroll zoom or select text, but not to write. Is this feature not supported on Firefox or am I missing something

I'm using Firefox Developer Edition 143.0b5 (64-bit), running on macOS Big Sur (11.7.10). My bookmarks for Facebook, Instagram, and Threads won't load on the first click. Most of the time I am presented with a blank white page. Sometimes I might get part of the page to show. I have to click on the bookmark a second time and then the page loads completely. This behavior doesn't happen with any other bookmarks I have.

Anyone know why this is happening?

I don't understand! I'm able to order merchandise on other websites, including Mary Kay's. Why is this any different? They are May Kay business cards for my Mary Kay business! (I'm also 93 and not very savvy about this.) Please help. Ellie

I've just updated my Linux Mint to 22.1 and Firefox to 142 on two computers. Both show the same behaviour. On websites of the Stackexchage family (Stackoverflow, Superuser, Crossvalidated, Academia...) the comment function seems to not work anymore. I am not offered a button to comment, and clicking buttons to see more comments that are already there don't show the comments but rather send me to the top of the page. I can still answer. The problem seems to be with Firefox 142 as it worked well before the update, and it still works well with Firefox 142 on Mac and other browsers on Linux.

This looks like a minor bug, not sure whether it is specific to Stackexchange or other websites are affected, too. Is there any help? If not, where can I file a bug report?

All, most recently I'm having problems with uploading files from my PC to respective internet platforms. It started with file uploads to ChatGPT, whatever I tried, the upload stalled and ultimately failed. Second platform was Vimeo, same problem, file upload stalled and finally failed. Such problems do not occur when using Chrome as browser, or when using Firefox via my Android. Never had such problems before. Firefox runs on latest version 142.0.1, cache is empty and all cookies deleted. System details: Desktop PC, Win 10 Pro, Vers. 22H2, all updates included. Have the same problems on a different Desktop PC. Very much appreciate you feedback and ultimately solution of the problem.

I have been using Firefox for 2 years on my Mac Air with Nord VPN to watch BBC IPlayer (UK connection) then about a week ago it would fail to recognise that I was in UK. I changed browser to Safari and it all works. I would prefer to continue to use Firefox.

Any thing I can do.

Starting with several updates in recent weeks, that were coming fast and furious, etrade.com will not refresh. They have an update button but nothing happens. "F5" does nothing either. All other websites work.

I figured you must know, that's why there have been several updates in succession.

for some time now I've been unable to sign into my account at "spectrum.net" while using Firefox, and receive an error message "IDID 4009". I do not have any problem signing into this account using Microsoft Edge.

I have so much trouble with payment sites. Showing the wrong amount, or just plain doesn't work, then I go over to Chrome, and it's fine. Why is this?

I have Bitwarden Password Manager, Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials, Facebook Container, and Tab Session Manager extensions.

I keep getting "something went wrong" on this site: https://signup.grasshopper.com/billing even though it does not point to a specific field, and I have checked all the fields.

I have had similar things happen several times recently, sorry, I don't remember the details. I know I tried to purchase something from loft.com, and there should have been a discount, and it was not showing up, but if I went to Chrome, it worked fine.

The 2-step window of Siriusxm is cut off so cannot be selected in Firefox. This is new and Sirius says it's Firefox not Sirius. Works fine in Chrome but I don't use Chrome. I've tried all ChatGPT suggestions. please help.

The page just sits there blank with no signon. Down the bottom says waiting for advrider.com If i do the same exact thing in Chrome, the motorcycle site opens its Home page immediately.

3 minutes later I finally get a text version of the home page, no images. If I click on a category again Firefox just sits on blank page

All other sites I want to go to work fine, just not ADV Rider.

Any thoughts?

I use Firefox as my default browser on two computers running Windows 11 & Linux operating systems.

From a few days ago I can no longer scroll down the entries in LastPass using the mouse on my HP Laptop (Windows 11). I thought it might be a LastPass issue so I tried opening LastPass in the Microsoft Edge browser and the RHS up\down scrolling is working just fine.

Is there some setting in Firefox (or between Firefox and LastPass) which is suddenly preventing me from scrolling up and down the entries). I can still scroll down by using the touch screen, but not using the mouse.

The other thing that drives me crazy is that I cannot permanently change all of the enties in LastPass into a simple list, rather than boxes. Is this anything to do with Firefox or is this a LastPass issue.

we use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing Forms and found out that there is an issue regarding lookup fields in Firefox.

When we use autofill and, for example, the lookup field “Country” is filled with the value “SE” because the country stored in Firefox is Sweden, the value remains in the field even though it does not match the values in the field. This is not the case with Edge and Chrome. I have already contacted Microsoft Support, and they said that this is a Firefox-specific problem and not a Dynamics 365 Marketing problem.

How can this problem be fixed?
