Every time I close Mozilla, my settings change from "Show Search Suggestions" on to off. I have no idea why it turns off automatically.

Context: I do have Betterfox installed which could be causing issues. If it is, what setting could I change?

If I highlight text on any page in Firefox 136.0, and then ask Gemini to "Explain this", Gemini opens in the Sidebar (I have selected the RHS of the screen for the sidebar), but my selected text is not entered into Gemini, and nothing happens. If I try this again while the sidebar is open, I get the message "Something went wrong, try reloading this page" Reloading the page doesn't help.

Hi....all of a sudden my firefox browser is not working. My home page will load in. But if I try to search for something all I get is a blank white screen. Can anyone help me out. I thought if I uninstalled it and then reinstall that might fix the problem. But I cannot find a way to uninstall it. Would appreciate anyone's help...Regards, Richard

i was having a firefox file not installed in my desktop but i can open the browser it was in privet browsing by default if i close it it will restart firefox and back as normal i install firefox from the web but this time i cant change my search history (never remember)

I have been a Mozilla customer for some time now; no problems. All of a sudden when I select the Firefox icon I get Bing. I don't want Bing. How do I make it go away? DB

I have gone to "settings" and have changed the search engine to Duck DuckGo from Dogpile (after hearing some disturbing news about Dogpile). However, even after changing to DDGo and 'shutting down' (cold boot), my searches are still routed through Dogpile even though 'originating' in DDgo. How do I get rid of this 'flypaper' of an application? BTW, I am on Windows 10.

Solved: Issue appears to be resolved since update 136.

The appearance of search suggestions changes to a bloated and verbose style whenever the window is not maximized (and it's width is less than twice of the longest first part followed by a dash of the quicksuggestions - in white font in the screenshots).

Observed since update 135 (from 134). Also no custom userChrome.css file is used.

How to keep appreance consistent / compact / normal (in all window-sizes)?

Preferably without a custom userCrhome.css file. I looked through all results on urlbar.quicksuggest in about:config but couldn't figure out any helpful setting.

Firefox latest version, windows 10 up to date.

I experience various issues with Google services:

• reCaptcha doesn't work: the challenge doesn't appear, or if by chance it does, it just runs forever.
• Opening pages from the Google search page frequently fails. The page just stops loading on a white page. Reloading multiple times, or removing the Google search encapsulation from the url bar, solves the issue.
• Accessing files on Drive frequently fails.

Evertyhing works fine 1. with any other browser; 2. with Firefox on a another PC.

I've tried, of course, changing all possible security/tracking options, disabling add-ons, &c, to no avail. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall Firefox - I need what is stored in my profile, so I copied back all of my profile files in the new profile folder. Same issue. I've tried using the newly installed default profile - same issue.

As stated, no issue at all with any other web browser. Can you help me diagnose?

I have a pixel 6 phone. My default browser on the phone is Firefox. However, when I open the Firefox app to search, a drop down menu in the search bar comes up and asks which browser I want to search in. Google is at the top of this list and Firefox isn't an option. If I want to search with Firefox I have to add a link, but I can't get the link. How to I fix this to only search on firefox?
