running windows 10, had a slow computer ran Norton eraser. when computer restarted no Firefox was on the computer. Tried to get back but failed. Had to download it again from the web. It is up and running. I had up graded before the problem and still have a saved file on the main screen

How do I get saved data in the new program?

Hi! My macbook broke yesterday. I was about to log into my firefox account with another lap running on windows and take the bookmarks that where saved in my account. But I accidentally deleted my account. So I decided to recreate an account to that same mail but my bookmarks weren't there. Can you please tell me a solution to take my bookmarks back?

I have "show my windows and tabs from last time" selected in Preferences: General. I also have "remember history" selected in the privacy section. However, when I re-open Firefox it just opens a single tab with my homepage. I am on Mac OS.

I just completed a "clean install" of Windows 7 on my computer; When I attempt to restore my old bookmarks to Firefox, I keep getting the following message: "Unresponsive Script , Chrome://browser/content/browser.js6500" (also 6513,6526)

I never used or installed Google Chrome on my computer! This script is freezes the entire page and is preventing me from restoring my bookmarks. Can anyone please help?

I recently upgrade my PC, and my old system hard disk is placed as slave in my new PC. Having signons3.txt, key3, and signons.sqlite files from the old firefox, how can i import the saved passwords into the new firefox 41.0?

Went to use my browser today and it was like the first day I downloaded FireFox. All my setting and bookmarks are gone. I tried everything and it keeps getting worse. Please help!

My problem started after I deleted my profile. Not knowing what I was doing, I deleted my profile and restarted Firefox. I had no bookmarks, my theme was gone, etc. After a while, I figured out how to use my old Firefox data to get my old profile back. When I did this, I think I might have gone back to an older version of Firefox, but it says everything is up to date. The Problem is that when I go to some websites, it says there is a buggy script (or loads very slow) and I have to stop script then it works. Another thing is that when I go to some websites (it varies on how often it happens) it says I need to update my media player. So I got to the link and it automatically pulls up an .exe. I have a mac and can't use an exe (don't tell me to use bootcamp, I don't have a flash drive big enough). When I just go to the web it's the same thing. If it should only work with Microsoft, then how do I stop the banner from showing up?

Why has the most recent update deleted all my tabs and passwords? It has caused hours of work for me when I was happy with how it worked before. Please don't tell me I have to sign up to 'sync' for these to be reinstated.

I was doing some travel research, Firefox crashed and wouldn't restart. I then tried to refresh Firefox and it save my "Old Firefox Data" in a folder on my desktop. I tried to restart Firefox but it kept saying my Profile was missing. I then followed directions to create a new Profile so I could get Firefox to open up. This worked and now I want to get my old bookmarks into my new profile from the "Old Firefox Data" folder.

I am not very computer literate. I have been going around and around with this for hours. I can't open firefox. I just get the message. I re installed firefox and see a folder of "old firefox data" on the desktop, but I can't figure out what to do from the different articles about this. I just go around an around.

I have googled this question and sent a query to Mozilla. I used Time machine Firefox profile and replaced it with one from a couple of weeks ago and I also re--downloaded Firefox 42. But I cannot get my history back. Extremely frustrating. Have used Firefox for years and I need my history at least for this year. Do not tell me to go to Chrome!

I've spent a couple hours trying different things based on the Mozilla help articles, and I still can't find a backup from before I bought this new computer a few days ago, and I can only find one Firefox profile.

Any thoughts?

Yesterday my Firefox history got deleted and I don't know how. I didn't notice it until today when I tried to type in a site I frequently visit. I knew this was the problem because this isn't the first time that this has happened and I couldn't get my history back then either. And it's only my history that's deleted, like my bookmarks and everything else is there. Is there anyway I can get my history back? I'd hate to have to go through all this again and not be able to get my history back.

I got a prompt to update Firefox, so I updated. Now I can't see any of my bookmarks. Furthermore, the "open menu" icon doesn't do anything at all

Firefox sent a notice to update my version. I did so as requested and the new version does not have any of my old settings, bookmarks, or add-ons. It did create a folder on the desktop called "old firefox data". How do I restore my old settings, bookmarks, and add-ons? I am using Windows 7.
