Hello, as in my title, all of my bookmarks from the last 10+ years have been deleted with this weird profiles update that happened. It told me to create a profile, I did, and then it took me to a browser that had none of my bookmarks or toolbar and had nothing in the backups at all. Am I completely screwed by the update or is there any way to restore?

I want to COMPLETELY wipe firefox, and then reinstall it and bring back only my passwords and bookmarks. I'm trying to troubleshoot some graphical glitches in firefox. How do I restore passwords and bookmarks after restoring? Thanks

I no longer have any:

passwords addons bookmarks history previously opened tabs user configuration

Nothing. Everything was completely wiped out. And that's just what I know about. Who knows what else is gone.

Does anyone know how I can retrieve this lost information.

I loose my hard disk so I reinstalled it (iOS Mojave) and all the apps, including Firefox. I had never saved explicitly my bookmarks so I do not have any html or other kinds of backup files. From the TimeMachine backup I have, I would like to get out my previous Firefox profile and put it in the right place on the new Mac. I found these instructions, that seem exactly what I need: "You can also copy Firefox’s bookmarks from its profile folder, if you cannot open Firefox on the old Mac or just have access to backups. Navigate to the “Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/” or “Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles” folders inside your user folder. You will find a folder named “Bookmarkbackups” inside a profile folder with a random name. Copy the most recent “.json” file from the folder to your external hard drive and use the “Restore” option in the Import and Backup menu to import it on the other Mac." But, unfortunately, both in my new Mac and in the TimeMachine backup the mentioned pathnames are missing. Under the "Library-Mozilla" folder there is only a file named global.regs. Under the "Library-Application Support" there isn't any "Firefox" folder, only a "Mozilla" folder containing another folder named "Extensions" (having 3 subfolders, all of them apparently empty) Someone can help me to find and replace my profile? I use FF since years and never created a profile. Hundreds of PW have been saved in the FF browser secured with my master PW. Since a few hours they are ALL GONE! I created the account I´m writing you herer from but obviously alos there no PW? What can I do. Need them urgently back.

Greetings. Yesterday facebook was loading fine, now it doesn't load. The login page appears, i enter my credentials and all i get is the blue top bar and a couple of buttons that don't work. It is working fine on microsoft edge and on my laptop also running firefox. I tried running in safe mode and deleting facebook cookies, it didn't help. I used an extension to change my user agent to a mobile one and the mobile facebook page seems to load fine. User agents for other browsers don't load as well. What is going on?

Every couple of months I will start up my computer and find all my settings have changed and my Firefox add-ons are gone. I was not able to discern why but I made some changes in the configuration and got the text size back to what I wanted. This time it happened none of those configurations changed but I still had changed text size. I refreshed Firefox and found my add-ons immediately were reinstalled even though they were shown to be working when I checked my browser settings. One of the add-ons was Yahoo Mail ad blocker. I have used Yahoo Mail for years. Recently they have tried to make changes in my mail display to where I am being forced to go ad-free and upgrade to a mail subscription. After this most recent challenge to my computer setting, I am beginning to think Yahoo is disabling the Yahoo Ad Mail Blocker to get me to go to their subscription. Either that or Microsoft is challenging me to use their browser. It is like their is a war going on to win the internet. I miss the old Internet. Is there anything that can be done so my settings don't get hijacked?

Since installing Big Sur on my iMac I, when I click on a url in a Apple Mail email I get the "profile not accessible" message. If Firefox happens to be running when I click on the link it will work.

I've tried all of the suggestions for fixing this issue to no avail.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem with Big Sur?

I have more than one accounts on my computer. However, when opening Firefox from these users, it has the same history, login information, etc. from my main account. Is there any way to keep them separate?

Have a number of individual profiles set up in the profile manager, however they have all disappeared. How can I get them back without having to recreate each individual "person". There would be about 30 or more and it's extremely important I'm able to get them back. Please help!!

Cant even bring up pop up to see my multiple browser profiles using Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -P. How can i recover my browser profiles? They just dissappeared

I tried a Firefox update due to slow running; when it didn't work, I stopped it and deleted all FF files. On download (many attempts), all appears to go well until I get a "Your FF profile cannot be located. It may be missing or inaccessible." message.

I was having problems with Firefox running slow so I tried to reset it, but it was taking too long so I quit in the middle of the reset. I tried uninstalling and installing it again but I keep getting "your profile is unavailable" and Firefox won't open

As stated now all my saved passwords, website histories and everything are now gone and it now says default profile 1 release and I don't use your beta channel either. So in the span of 20 minutes I went from updated, to updated a second time to release 1 and there is nothing in my profile now.

Please tell me that you store the default profile somewhere so it can be imported. I always relied on Firefox to this moment and always thought Google need to learn how to deliver what their users want and not what they want but right now so angry about what has happened.

I recently updated my firefox to quantum. I didnt realize the profiles creation was the new thing. So i lost all of my passwords that I had stored which made for logging in extremely simple. After reviewing dozens of support pages, I found the default and new profile and where my passwords are being stored. I did the copy and paste thing per mozilla support, but the passwords are still not available for use (unless I was suppose to activate something). I had also lost my bookmarks but somehow found them but the passwords are no longer associated with those sites. Overall, I want to know how to retrieve/activate my passwords on the new profile or even the old profile. Or how I might open/import them to other browsers for use. I havent been able to do much work on my Macbook because resetting passwords would be too tedious from the password system i have in place. Please help! **disclaimer, I am not very tech-inclined if you have not noticed but I am determined!

Since Firefox updated to 67.0 all of my bookmarks are missing. I have tried to restore from the file listed when I select "Restore" but nothing happens at all. It doesn't even give me an error message. I can't even locate a "bookmarks" file on my laptop.

Any help appreciated as I am lost without them for work...

For about a week now, just about every time I open Firefox the profile creator pane appears, and I have to choose or create a profile. The problem is that there are no profiles already listed so I have to recreate my profile, and then spend time customising my add-ons, bookmarks, search engines, themes etc. Why isn't my profile being saved?

Every time I close Firefox it completely re-sets, I get signed out, all of my extensions are gone, bookmarks and settings and everything all need to re-install and get signed back into... it's really frustrating to have to sign on to tons of things to have it back to the way I want it set and never closing it or restarting it shouldn't be the only way to avoid this... PLEASE HELP! TYTYTYTY

Firefox has opened successfully for years. Today, I double clicked on the icon, and it will not launch. I uninstalled and reinstalled it two three times and no luck. So I then tried performing the profile creation and got the following result.
