Whenever I browse to google usinfg Firefox I get a page saying "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network." If i use any other browser it is fine.

Booted my PC up this morning, was using firefox just fine, it prompted for an update, typically I ignore these for a few weeks before updating to allow the community to work out the kinks. I jumped the gun and for the first time since I started using Firefox over 10 years ago, an update broke something. I had bookmarks toolbar enabled, with 10-15 bookmarks in it, that has disappeared entirely. Had I known this was going to happen i'd have backed up my profile in AppData.

I have the latest version of firefox browser. For 2 months, the status bar has NOT appeared when an xfinity video-of-the-day is played. The comcast technician accessed it on his i-pad and the status bar worked. I then used a chrome browser on my computer, and the status bar is fine. But the firefox browser will now load the status bar. Is this a programming issue, or is it a setting? It worked fine in Firefox for 10 months. It came back on once, for a short time, but now it hasn't worked for over a month. Thanks

I have the pwdhash addon but when I enter the 2 at-signs as my password prefix I get an invalid password reject, if I enter F2 before typing my password it works but how do I know it actually hashed my password ?

I've been having problems viewing the live stream at amc.com. I go to their live stream link, sign on, the video player starts to load with the message "video player loading" and then...nothing. I just see the buffering circle going round and round. I was able to watch their live stream a month ago but not now. I've always used Firefox so I don't know why it worked before but not now. I can watch live streams on other sites just not amc.com. I've contacted amc.com but they don't reply. I'm not even sure if this is a Firefox problem but I've tried other things (disabling ad-blocking, making sure my flash player is updated) to no avail. Any help that anyone can provide on this would be appreciated, thanks.

I support a webapp within our company. This webapp has existed for a few years, but it has been exhibiting substantial delays recently Firefox users (I think since update 45).

Here is the sequence of events that I see:

1. Page loads, including the index and many javascript files

2. On load completion, the app takes over and performs two parallel XHR requests

3. The server responds to these requests, but Firefox does not fully process them for 50 seconds

4. After 50 seconds, the response is processed and the webapp proceeds as normal.

In debugging this, I used both the Firefox developer tools and wireshark to get packet captures. Wireshark shows the two XHR requests being sent on two connections that were previously used to fetch static content. Both of these requests are returned to the PC running Firefox within about 200ms.

I then looked at the developer tools that displays the network activity. I could see the two XHR requests and both of them showed as being completed (i.e. they were listed with their latency displayed and weren't 'pending'). I clicked on them and, interestingly, they both showed the status code (200 OK), but did not have any response information: no headers or response content. After 50s that content was available in the developer tools display.

One other thing to mention is that while I don't really know the trigger to make this happen, it does only seem to happen when the page is loading the static content. If that content is cached, the problem appears to not happen. With that said, the problem is quite rare and I can't make it occur at will.

At this point, I believe that Firefox is in error. Chrome seems to work fine with this webapp.

Could anyone suggest any additional debugging that I could do on this so that I can get sufficient info to raise a bug for this problem?

Note that I have added some images to show the flow of packets and show the Firefox developer tools during the problem and after the problem. While the problem is going on, you can see that the XHR has completed, but the response information is not present in the right panel. In the second dev-tools image, the request eventually fully completes in Firefox and the response is displayed.

I have been using Firefox for years and currently on 4 different computers (2Dell Optiplex 3010, Dell Insperon 5000 and Dell Vostro 3414. Firefox works very well on all of the websites I normally use except that Princess.com which worked well until last week. Princess suggests that I start using Google Chrome but that would be a considerable inconvenience due to my numerous bookmarks. The Princess.com website MS Internet Explorer even works better than Firefox, something that has never happened before. It appears that Princess.com has developed handshake problems with Firefox.

Can you suggest something to allivate this problem?

Running OpenSuse 13.2 with Firefox 46.0.1

The Firefox files were copied over from an old XP machine onto a new OpenSuse machine (copied over to /home/cmartin/.mozilla). After a reinstall of Firefox to get the necessary files to carry over (passwords, history, bookmarks, etc.), I noticed that addons would not save after reboot. When I open an instance of Firefox as Root, the addons remain after reboot. As a standard user, the addons disappear after reboot. The files appear to be 600 (for files) or 700 (for directories). The ownership points to cmartin:users.

What files do I need to chown or chmod and with what settings to get addons to save for the standard user after reboot?

Hi everyone! I've been having a strange issue recently where for some reason, the Shockwave Flash plugin starts to hang, and causes Firefox to stop responding. I regularly keep quite a few tabs open so I can't really narrow down the exact site that's causing it, but if I had to make an educated guess, I would say either Facebook, VLN (vlnpartners.com, it's an online school site), or YouTube. It's only happened twice so far, but both times it's interrupted me while doing school work so I'd like to look into it a bit further.

when i open FF it work fine in videos GIFs and everything but after a while they all stop working it shows the video loading icon but nothing load although the internet is working fine and everything else is working great i tried disable protection disable and enable flash player install the newest vision of FF with Flashplayer and without it and still doing the same and it do it in every thing and every website Face book youtube and other websites i seen a lot of problems like this they ask for safe mode and i tried it but eventually it do the same also i didn't get this problem in google chrome or Opera or even Microsoft crappy Edge or even Internet explorer i would really appreciate it if anyone could help me thank you

I thought I would make my own background, and downloaded the BrowserBackground from the Mozilla browser window suggestion and link. The computer has not been right since. I feel like I'm being assaulted by visuals each time I open a window, and all my links are gone. How do I get it out? What do I look for to eliminate it? thanks.

AOL is my email host. Whenever I get an email from my Scout Troop (txxxxxxxx@yahoo.com), Firefox blocks all the content--which I need to see! Clicking in the security bar at top reveals "the connection mail.aol.com is not secure." Changing permission to allow images to load has made no difference. Neither text nor images will load. Clicking through "More Information" to the security screen shows that Firefox thinks I haven't visited the site before because cookies from AOL are session-only. How can I change this?? I see on every page a circle in the middle: https://scr.hu/r9w80g I noticed: - If I press Ctrl+R most of the times it disappears, If I press Ctrl+R again, it appears again. - switching between tabs sometimes makes it disappear and on some next tab switch it appears again. Appearing seems random. - It resizes as the windows resizes

I disabled all extensions, no effect. The circle is not visible in another browser like Chrome.
