Hello, a few hours ago I've installed the 64-bit version of Firefox and now some of the sites won't load when opened from a results page of the search engine DuckDuckGo (otherwise they load fine). For example, I search for Firefox and get the result page and these websites load when I click on them: mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ facebook.com/Firefox but these websites don't load: cnet.com/tags/firefox filehippo.com/download_firefox

instead of the websites I get an error: "Problem loading page" + "The connection was reset" and in the address bar is the url: http://r.duckduckgo.com/l/?kh=-1&uddg=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnet.com%2Ftags%2Ffirefox%2F

Thanks

downloading the british english version of firefox, the british dictionary is disabled. having looked closer, the dictionary is in extensions. in newer versions of firefox it has its own catagory of dictionaries. But it is the same dictionary. I have downloaded the language pack and dictionary again, but shouldn't need to do this for the reagionalised english-british version of firefox.

Can this be fixed for future updates, so that upgrades don't cause stock dictionaries to fail, but move them into the new locations or replace them.?

basically, there shouldn't be a dictionary blocked message on an firefox upgrade using the same region regionalised firefox installer. (windows 32bit installer)

When Firefox is open (we have 4 browsers to choose from), a sound like someone hitting a chord on an organ comes out whenever a page updates or a button is selected on a site. I find NOTHING about sounds in the settings for Firefox. This noise does not happen when Firefox is off and another browser is open. It does sound when Firefox is the only browser open, as well as when we are using multiple browsers, so it's not a competition attention getter.

So what is it? How can it be stopped without muting all sounds?

On Firefox 42, Flash was working properly but after updating to 43.0 some websites give me an error that the Flash plugin failed to load. For example the following site: http://www.roosterteeth.com/episode/rwby-season-3-volume-3-chapter-6-fall

Also, when I go to this adobe site, the Flash video that plays only if Flash is working doesn't play https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I tried going to the above Adobe site on my other computer which still had Firefox 42.0 and it loaded the video properly but upon updating to 43.0, the video stopped loading on my other computer as well.

I've tried to fix the problem by doing the following with no success: 1. Restarted Firefox 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash 3. Restarted Windows 4. In the list of Firefox plugins at about:addons I made sure that Shockwave Flash was set to "Always Activate" 5. Deleted the Firefox cache and restarted Firefox

I'm using Windows 10 64-bit

Upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 a couple days ago.

Now, I must login to websites each time I visit whereas in the past I would be automatically logged in with stored username/password. I have checked cookies settings and other security settings and don't see what should be changed. Everything looks to be as it was before (from what I remember).

Would appreciate any help--it's probably something very simple but I can't figure it out.

Thanks.

I am trying to upload some pics on my Facebook account using Firefox. When I click on Facebook's file upload icon, Firefox bring up a 'File Upload' window. I noticed that smaller image file is previewed on the right side, while bigger image file is not. Is there anyway I can change this behavior or maybe change what Firefox is using to browse my files?

Thanks, Roberto Fulgado

Hello, I'm using Ubuntu (exactly xubuntu 14.04) and it's always my OS who makes updates. Today my OS made me do an update of Firefox (to 43.0 version). Understand it's the Ubuntu/Canonical firefox version. I prefer to use the OS package manager to install applications. And with this new version of firefox, I can't download anything. There is the animation when I click to start a download, but when I display the progress of ongoing downloads, all downloads are just marked as "failed". PDF files works if I choose to display such files (i.e the default firefox behaviour), but if I chose to download it (or to do a "save link as"), I have this trouble.

What I tried: 1/ I removed all my add-ons & extensions 2/ I created a new user on my OS to have a "fresh" firefox (to get default firefox parameters) 3/ with my Ubuntu package manager I removed firefox, restarted my computer, reinstalled firefox (still through package manager) But the trouble remains even if I combine #2 & #3

I'm very suprised, I've searched bugs and it seems no one has this trouble. Am I the only one? Do you think the bug would come from the Ubuntu firefox package (though I don't think there is much difference) ?

Thanks for your help

I just updated Firefox to version 43.0..., I went to Wikipedia and guess what?! None of the images on their webpages a able to be seen using the Firefox browser! Now THAT is a real bummer! I never encountered a problem like this before and I've used Firefox for over 10 years. Hmmmmmm, now what do you think could be the problem? Included screenshot of Firefox view AND Chrome view of same webpage

Also, ongoing issues with playing Flash content on Firefox browser. Here's a link to a blog that has Lennon's #9 Dream embedded as Flash content on the web page. Can't view or watch the video using Firefox. Internet explorer works fine. LINK IS; http://cyclopswarrior.blogspot.com/2013/02/9-dream.html I've included screen shot too....,

Any help is really appreciated as I use Firefox as my primary browser and I refer to Wikipedia a whole lot!

since your update 43.0, whenever i type in a URL it first of all shows me "visit [site]" and then "[site]" by itself directly below it. It is redundant and was not there before and I dislike it greatly.

For example, when I type "t" in the address bar, it shows "Visit tumblr.com" first, and then tumblr.com by itself right below it. how do i stop it from saying "visit [site]" and just show me the site by itself, like before?
