Firefox version 41 and above does not open properly, our corporate web portal. Link begins to grow endlessly repeated request. http://ibn.itecs.ru only after login. With older versions or with other browsers everythink works correctly.

Ex 1 - I tried to watch a video file from Yahoo at https://ca.yahoo.com/ . FF crashed. Up came the 'Oops Sorry' page ans I tries to restart it and it crashed again. Ex 2 - I tried to watch a video of a TV show online and it crashed. This has become a real nuisance ever since Version 40 started but in version 41 on it is making me want to try IE. ( And I don't want to). NOTE: - I do have "HTTPS-Everywhere" enabled but I'm going to disable it and try one more time. - I have been watching many videos on Netflix and no problems at all. - Do I need Java installed? - I've disabled Java toolkit - I've disabled Java Platform Now comes the hard part. How to find the answer to this post once you have had a chance to read it??? I'll try bookmarking this section.

When trying to start Firefox, only the crashreporter opens. When trying to submit Crash to Firefox, crashreporter fails to send Crashreport.

Since Firefox doesn't start, I can't add Details about the Crash automatically.

I JUST WANT TO CHANGE / EDIT THE LITTLE PICTURE, or FAVICON THAT IS TO THE LEFT OF YOUR BOOKMARKS - HOW DO YOU DO THIS?

using Windows Vista, 32 bit, Firefox 41.0.1.

I've already added a French keyboard via the Control Panel and rebooted my computer, but I don't see how to access the French keyboard. I've tried hitting the Shift and then the letter "e" to get accents, but none appear. Please let me know whether I can find the French keyboard in one of the menu tabs.

trying to uninstall firefox then reinstall to check if it fixes freezing problem but a msg pops up saying close firefox first. I went to task manager and firefox IS NOT OPEN!! What now??

I removed all my addons and tried safe mode but it keeps crashing. firefox is updated and windows 10 too.

After viewing bbc player options attempted to download numerous programmes. Received error message each time. Tried reverting back to firefox 37 and then shockwave 17,no difference. Error: "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (bbc-ipd) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context." Searching suggested changing in firefox " about:config ", "network.protocol-handler.external.javascript" from true to false. This also gave the error.

There no longer seems to be an option to set the default page for a new tab. I would like it to default to my home page as it used to. I have gone on the user forum & followed advice to install a "Newtaburl" but this didn't work.

even if I delete the apparently dozens of sites you have preloaded (some of which I haven't used in donkeys' years), it looks like you're going to keep adding them back as I use them again. I just want to go directly to my homepage when I open a new tab. I don't want yet another keystroke in the chain. seems to me you've reduced my control, not increased it.

I keep adding tiles to the New Tab page, when I hold my cursor over the pin icon it says 'Unpin' instead of Pin. So it looks like they are pinned although I can move them around to other positions. When I go to another page and come back, the tiles I placed there are gone. I have unchecked the Include Suggested Sites but that is checked again some how. This whole New Tab business is a good idea, it works fine with other browsers, but with Firefox it's a real mess. Why doesn't this work the way it is described? Are there settings I don't know about or have clicked wrong?

Oh boy ... I am nearly at the end ... my whits end I love Firefox and have been a long user but these last few months it has become unuseable .. a page taking several minutes to load.. just nuts time .. a lot of sites I can't log in as the time has been too long. I have checked the internet speed, used the laptop elsewhere, done the refresh trick, run in safe mode, removed my profile ... and sometimes it works ... for a while then back. I did have a terminal running which showed an error ... missing a semi colon on 3rd line of dictionary which I have had disabled although I can't find it to remove it ... just don't know what else to do now except move off Firefox . I'm using vers 41.0.1 on a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.10.5

I have updated to windows 10, all went well, however, yesterday I have to reinstall Firefox as my default browser, on completion I have found that I have an app called outsurfing attached, How do I remove this without having to uninstall your programme.

The site is https://dvd.netflix.com. Entering that into chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul gets me the message "The certificate is not trusted because it hasn't been verified as issued by a trusted authority using a secure signature."

The certificate was issued by:

CN = Symantec Class 3 Secure Server CA - G4 OU = Symantec Trust Network O = Symantec Corporation C = US

The validity dates are in range (7/9/2015 - 7/10/2017) and my PC's clock matches my cell phone.

How can I fix this?

Firefox updated Monday to 41.0.1. Tuesday morning, all my bookmarks were gone, but I brought them back using Restore Bookmarks. Today, gone again and restore doesn't work. It says could not restore from backup even though the backup is there saying there are 240 bookmarks in there.
