Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Running Firefox 141.0.2 on Mac Sequoia 15.6.

I have frequently used firefox to reach this local server until today. The server itself currently responds to pings, traceroute works. I can ssh to the server. I can access an SMB share on the server. All of these were tested after I ran across this issue. The server doesn't support HTTPS.

Today when I attempted to reach the server in Firefox. This time I got a popup (from Firefox, I presume) asking if I wanted to add this server to some sort of list. As I am still largely human, I didn't really read the popup, and just selected "No". And now I can't reach the server (from Firefox, that is).

So, how do add this server to Firefox's whatever list? The "Server not found" message is, as always, not even slightly helpful.

something new in FireFox, as tried many times and CCleaner skips FireFox. Asked if I want to close, I say yes. this is in Custom Clean and also in Health Check. Thought I saw something about a "B-4". Do not know that . Chrome and others are cleaned.

The Atlassian Confluence "Audio Briefings" icon is consistently greyed out using the Firefox web browser (my browser of choice). How can this be enabled? This is not an issue using the Chrome and Safari web browsers on the same content. I have verified Autoplay, Microphone and Speaker settings and ensured the domain has been added to the list of exceptions to the default (which is more restrictive). Hardware and WebGL are both enabled as well. I would think Firefox would want to ensure the browser is compatible with major business applications such as those by Atlassian.

The bookmarks and folders that I delete keep on returning. I have tried everything I know:

• disabled sync,
• deleted backups...
• deleted Firefox from my other devices

everything. But the deleted bookmarks and folders keep returning in my Bookmarks menu and in my Bookmarks Toolbar. Sometimes I get into "Manage Bookmarks" and I see the deleted folders reapper just a few seconds after I have deleted them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at the point that that the next thing to try would be to switch to another browser

I used to be able to copy all the files and folders from: C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\a4tgn35f.default-1533640645510 to another disk location, except for few files getting 'Destination Path Too Long', without any problems.

The problem lies mainly with the JSON files.

I do this copy primarily because I want my Firefox profile on laptop to match my desktop.

Before copying the contents of my Firefox profile to my laptop I recall also being able to remove all files and folder in my laptops Firefox profile. - But it is not really necessary to remove the Firefox profile files on my laptop before copying to it.

But now I have problems both copying and removing Firefox profiles - but for now it's only about copying the Firefox profile - not removing ....

I have added some images showing what happens when trying to copy a Firefox profile.

Hello. I have an issue with history panel.

In previous of Firefox the history, split by date, each day's block used to have it's own actions: it had a context menu with "Delete" item. Also it was possible to put focus on some day, press Delete button on keyboard and to get all items of this day removed from the history.

Since version 141 it is not possible.

Please get this opportunity back.

I am not sure how to address this. I like to have my pinned tabs always in view whenever possible. So when I click on another tab outside the tab, I'll utilize that and then go back home. While in other tabs, I may utilize the extension tab manager plus for Firefox. The last few days I'll click on a tab on need. It opens the page, but does not show the tab at the top of the screen. What is happening and how do I fix this?

In Firefox on my M4 Mac Mini I have a number of tab groups that I always use. When on any tab within a tab group I cmd+tab to another application as normal, but when I cmd+tab back to Firefox, it takes me to a tab not in a tab group that was last open which, in my case, is an old tab that was last used a week ago. Moreover, it hides my tab groups altogether. This means that when I switch back from another application I cmd-tab to Firefox, click the top-right down arrow, select a tab group under Recent Tab Groups to get me back to my true last opened tab.

Cmd-tab is probably my most-used shortcut so this convoluted process of getting back to my true last tab is getting really frustrating. I have tried ticking "cmd+tab cycles through tab groups" in Settings but that's not what I am after. I've searched the forum and while I have come across similar posts, I haven't found a solution.

I updated my mac to Sequoia 15.6 and after reopening my macbook all windows of firefox are invisible on screen. If i checvk which windows are still open, they all are but I can't see them nowhere. How to proceed to see them?

Hi, All of a sudden, bookmarks disappeared. There was a Firefox update a few days ago which fixed the problem but....it's back again, no bookmarks. My security systems have not changed whatsoever (Windows and McAfee) plus I use Ccleaner to tidy up my system at close of play. Will the bookmark system ever be fixed please? I just installed the latest Firefox update and all my bookmarks and passwords have disappeared. Can someone please tell me where there would be stored so that I can re-install them. This hasn't happened with previous updates. I hope I have chose the best topic for my question.
