I switch from Chrome to Firefox and imported all my "bookmarks". How do I view all the folders I had in my Chrome bookmarks? If I click the >> at the top, the bookmarks are not listed the way they were on Chrome, and I can't find the numerous folders of bookmarks that I had set up. In the saved links that do show up in the list, I see hundreds of links but they are unorganized. An outdated folder that says "Imported from IE" shows up in the list several times, but it's not the list I had on Chrome. Help ;>)

Dear Firefox Team,

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.18.0 with some websites I have recently visited however which has appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

Thank you for your kind attention.

Best regards,

i had a snuffleupigus mess with my hard drive during an upgrade, and had to install a new drive. i still can access my original drive, just not boot from it. this means with my new install i cannot open firefox to back up my old book marks but can find the book mark file. how can i restore these bookmarks using the actual file? no it's not an html file as far as i can tell. i wound up upgrading from win 10 to win 11 so the versions are slightly different

Using Firefox version 134 (64bit). When I click "Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks, the listing defaults to the "Other Bookmarks" folder. I would like it to default to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder. How do I make it do that? Note: In 2023, I used a fix submitted by cor-el that modified autoconfig.js and autoconfig.cfg and worked very well, however in Firefox v 134, it no longer works

In my previous mail I stated, that after the last Firefox Update last week virtually all my Bookmarks in the Bookmark sidebar AND the Bookmark toolbar have been blanked out i.e. the URL links have been eliminated, the ext is still there with a 'world icon'. Firefox does not let me restore from a saved .json file. Please let me have a solution for this problem, which is absolute first since using Firefox 1 1/2 decades ago. Thank you

I inadvertently created a duplicate Other Bookmarks folder at the level of the Bookmarks Toolbar and I'm not able to remove it. In fact, I tried deleting all of the bookmarks under this duplicate to see if that would allow me to delete it, however, that removed all of my bookmarks, including from the original Firefox Other Bookmarks folder and I had to restore them from backup.original Firefox Other Bookmarks folder

Please let me know what I can do to eliminate the duplicated folder without affecting the entries in my original Firefox Other Bookmarks folder.

Thank you,

John Hart

For two days now I have not been able to create a bookmark, can't see any of my previously saved bookmarks, have no bookmark bar. I have been going in circles in my search of community forum. I have tried every suggestion I have found. I wish I could delete everything related to Firefox and start over, but when I uninstall then reinstall, it says I have a previous version of Firefox. I have already deleted cookies and all Firefox files. Nothing is working. I have been using Firefox for over 15 years. All the steps I used to take to show the bookmarks bar fails to produce a bookmark bar. HELP, PLEASE!

Right click does not have the move option; never did. Using Outlook "on the web". (Twice just recently my keyboard quit responding and I had to open Safe mode and restart to make it work. 2nd time lost all open windows/tabs). When I opened Firefox next day, opened library, all my folders were gone. Later they did come back; unsure how/why. I have tried click on bookmark every which way. Will not move into library folder. I may have changed a setting unintentionally.

I did go into FireFox Safe mode. Didn't help.

I find it impossible to find anything in the Firefox bookmarks lately. This is due to the way only "recent bookmarks" show in the bookmarks pulldown, instead of my folders, like it used to. I take a lot of care to put everything into folders, so I don't have a long unsorted list. But then the only way to find my folders The only way to find my folders is to have to go into "Manage Bookmarks," which is a giant hassle. (Also, if I open the wrong bookmark, it doesn't leave the list open, so I have to go back and start over. Is there a way to leave my list open, for instance if I want to open multiple bookmarks from one folder?)

I found a help thread which said "Click on bookmarks and then click on bookmarking tools." I tried to do this (several times) ... but unfortunately I don't see the "Bookmarking Tools" option AnyWhere.

I would really appreciate help. I find this so frustrating it makes me not want to use the browser anymore, because locating the articles I need to find again is very time consuming and not straightforward.

Ok, here's the specks first.

I have TWO older imac desktop computers. The one I'm on now, and one I use mainly for music, maybe email but not much else.

BOTH have the SAME IOS. High Sierra. Both used the SAME version of firefox. (Just launched the old one to see, 91.8.0esr)

So the computer I'm on now is up to date with version 115.19.0esr And now so is the other one.

Problem is.... Firefox in it's infinite STUPIDITY, does NOT automatically move bookmarks OR MAKE IT SIMPLE TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH they let me import from another browser. I DO NOT USE ANOTHER BROWSER SO THOSE OTHER BROWSERS DO NOT HAVE MY BOOKMARKS. What a STUPID idea on their part huh?

Now dang it all.... it took me half a day but I managed to do it on this computer. I remember even saying out loud "well that was too easy." Knowing I would need to do it again I should have written down what I did but nope, that would be logical and make sense. I didn't do it. Its been a few weeks and now I cannot for the life of me remember what was so easy. (Again HOURS of one set of instructions after another, yea it was easy to forget.)

I just KILLED several HOURS going around with some ai thing, nothing is working. Shortest version it had me save the old bookmarks by exporting as html. Did that, put it on a flash stick, brought that to the new computer, updated firefox, and here is where nothing works. IMPORT from html DOES NOTHING AT ALL. AI had me open the file to make sure it wasn't corrupt, it's fine. It even suggested I manually drag from that open file to the new bookmarks library but nothing drags. I did try contacting mozilla but got back a reply that they do not offer support UNLESS I AM A PAYING USER. OH HELL NO. I don't pay for stuff so BADLY designed. And I actually like firefox.

Ok, ranting now. Just frustrated. I DO remember this was an easy task.... but dang. HOW?????????? Aside from manually opening each bookmark, copying the url and starting over...... I have HUNDREDS! I'd LIKE to move them all and I know it can be done since I'm on my new browser right now WITH all my old bookmarks. So yea it can be done.... and it was "easy." But my aging brain lost it. I will give this board a shot. Surely others have had the same issue. SOMEONE out there must have written down the "easy" method.

Thanks in advance.
