My PC had to be reinstalled by our IT-Department. I restored my bookmarks from my Firefox account, but all the tags connected to the bookmarks seem to be lost. Are the tags not synchronized together with the bookmarks?

Before and after synchronization of bookmarks was activated. At least after the re-installation my Firefox is version 133.0.3 which according to Firefox is the latest version. Before the crash automatic updates for Firefox were activated.

I already tried to add a tag for a new bookmark to ensure that tags are displayed in the save bookmark dialogue. No the entry field for tags is displayed, but the tags of the existing bookmarks are still missing.

Is there any way to restore my tags?

I had four windows open with a few tabs in each. After a hard reset of my computer, Firefox doesn't recall any of those windows so I have no way to restore them. This is keeping me from accessing two different Outlook accounts. Any suggestions are helpful. I do not have a "restore previous session" option anywhere. Running 133.0.3 on Max OSX 14.7.1.

My hard drive crashed and I have recovered the files. I have found the latest recovered profile but can't integrate the bookmarks and passwords into my current FF. I've read the how to articles but can't switch profiles. Help thanks.

I have been using Firefox for many years, but I encountered a problem several months ago. I searched the same window a lot, then closed it. Since then, I have not found anything. It’s impossible to get rid of it and the more I try, the more backups of this window are made on my icon in the taskbar. I currently have 12 displayed with 46 tabs for each one. Can you tell me how to delete them? I thought about uninstalling Firefox, but that would mean losing both my bookmarks and saved passwords. Last Friday I took up the firefox update. I always wait 3 days b4 I do in case there are any bugs. Lost everything on desktop and there was a msg " This update is not compatible with yr computer, please re-instal firefox" but it was a catch 22 situation cos every time I tried to re-install firefox I got nothing but the same message! I had version 133.0 (64 BIT) and the newer version was & still is 133.0.3. Eventually Edge came to my rescue and took me back to the older version (133.0). Then a couple of days later I'm getting incessant offers to update! I checked the Firefox updater & the new update is the same as the one that caused my desktop computer to crash so keep dismissing it unless u can promise me it wont happen again! My son is an IT specialist; he had to drive 100 miles to come help me get back everythng I lost. I dont like the newer update .. not interested in side bars; just want it to be the same all the time! So question is: if I take up the newer update, is it still incompatible with my comp? Am running W10 on it.

Help! I need to know what steps to take to recover all of my Firefox browser tabs from 09Jan2025. My mouse f-d up and erratically closed Firefox and when I opened it again all of my tabs were missing.

I am on my new computer now, but need to open my old computer for information. However; I forgot the sign in password. Is there any way I can retrieve my old password for my non working older computer.

Hello, A couple of months ago, I believe there was an update completed on Firefox and after that, I lost all of my bookmarks. I've since created a few, but the majority are gone. Is there any way to retrieve the bookmarks?

I am experiencing the problem that my bookmark backup is not restored. I need to restore everything before Dec 24, 2024. If you can help me, this has never happened to me before. Thank you.

I lost all my tagged articles. Even though my app shows the tags did I create, on browser there's only one tag. And there's no article listed under the tag I am pretty sure that I list them as in tags.

My hard drive recently crashed but I was able to recover all the c drive files. I found the firefox profiles and have copied the entire folder onto my desktop in the new windows 11 computer. I can't seem to sync those bookmarks and passwords to the firefox. I think I need to change the default profile but can't get that to happen. I have copied the profile from the crashed computer to the profiles folder on the new one. Please help guide me through the process.

I turn on my old laptop. After update(about 07.23) I lost my bookmarks. Now I tried to do what you wrote me with profiles, but there is no profile with my bookmarks. What I can do now??

I'm having serious problems with a Windows 11 desktop. While waiting for help from tech support, I've discovered that bookmarks have disappeared and/or been rearranged in Firefox on the desktop, but not my laptop. That’s actually a relatively minor problem in the scheme of things concerning the desktop, but I still have to deal with it.

I before I thought about possible consequences, I checked Firefox on my laptop, and saw that the bookmarks there were fine. But now, because I have syncing turned on, and don't know what continued effect that may have, I’ve closed FF on both computers and made Chrome my default browser for the time being.

Ideally, while I’m waiting for my desktop issues to be solved, I'd like to turn off syncing and then continue using FF when I use my laptop. But I’m concerned about what further effect *any* use of FF on either computer may have on the bookmarks. I'd hate to go into the settings only to find that in doing so I'd done something to cause the desktop & laptop bookmarks to snyc, to the detriment of the latter. And with syncing enabled, I'm reluctant to use FF at all on my laptop.

I'd appreciate advice on how to handle this problem. I do have everything on the laptop backed up, but it would be nice if I didn't have to rely on that.
