One day there are no shortcuts on my firefox homepage, none show up when I open a new tab. In my settings, it shows I have set to allow 3 rows of shortcuts, but there are none! This is so totally inconvenient and I have spent hours trying to sort it out, so I might be bailing on Firefox as my default browser.

Some google search suggestions mention "clicking on the plus sign" to add a shortcut. THat opens a new tab but does not relate to shortcuts.

This is a snip from my Chrome homepage, with shortcuts. I used to have 3 rows in Firefox. Now there are none, and there is no plus sign to add one.

Hi. I have done a cleaning with CCleaner, so not sure if it affected firefox, but now the new tab page doesn't have my shortcuts any longer nor any buttons to add them. I had 4 rows of my most used ones. Now I only have the "recent activity" 2 rows....but they don't seem to fill in either...not sure what went wrong. in my settings the shortcut button is ticked. Is there a way I could revert to firefox that I had a couple of hours ago, to see my shortcuts back? I am not technical, so don't know what to do. thanks.

Had to recently reset my browser and lost all my history. Apparently it messed up my custom settings in some way as well.

New Tab still shows my FF homepage with shortcuts and history gone - I've managed to get those back but with one huge problem:

- Clicking on a shortcut opens it in the same tab, whereas earlier I had it working when clicking on a shortcut would open it IN A NEW TAB.

Where's the setting in about:config to fix this???

If this feature has been removed - why???

I don't know what to say. One day I had one row of frequently visited icons below the search bar in the middle of the page and the next day, they were gone. Any help, greatly appreciated.

The New Tab Page is a fantastic tool. Are there any plans to allow more than four rows to their layout? I would benefit greatly by having 13 rows. Might there be any plans for that?

Good Morning, Please how can I add or take out in firefox the icon shortcuts with most visited sites that I use, Also firefox is adding by itself shortcuts to my opening page and I don't want to have more than 6 or 7 or firefox suggestions. Thank you for your help

I would like to browse the archive of articles that appear with a fresh set every day on the Firefox home screen. Is the archive available? If not, can Firefox make it available for all the users? I am sure that I am not the only one interested in browsing the archive of articles and reading those that interest them.

EVERY SINGLE TIME FIREFOX UPDATES THEY OPEN A NEW TAB AND ADVERTISE FEATURES AND GARBAGE I DO NOT CARE ABOUT.

DESPITE EVERY SETTING IMAGINABLE, IT STILL DOES IT. EVERY TIME.

WHY? WHY DO YOU NOT RESPECT YOUR USER'S REQUESTS AND CONTINUE TO DO THIS?

WE ALL REMEMBER THE TIME YOU SHOVED ADVERTISEMENTS INTO IT.

I"D RATHER PAY FOR FIREFOX THAN HAVE THIS RIDICULOUS GARBAGE HAPPEN EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE THE APPLICATION.

MAKE A SETTING FOR THIS OR SOMETHING THAT YOU WON'T JUST IGNORE OR OVERRIDE THE NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO SPAM YOUR ENTIRE USER BASE

3 of the sponsors I've encountered (amazon, Google, temu) (I'll be honest, I don't pay attention often so there's probably others) are incredibly well-known for having terrible practices. Amazon exploits its workers, pollutes a bunch, and even works with israel. google sells user data, and also pollutes a bunch and works with israel, and temu potentially uses slave labour, as well as polluting a bunch.

I understand Mozilla needs money to operate but I'm sure there are tonnes of ethical businesses it could promote

I want to add shortcuts that appear when I open a new tab. The instructions say to go to the site you want to add, then click on the 3 dots and choose add your shortcut. I don't see the three dots to click on, just the 3 lines. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi community The option to set, how many rows of shortcuts should be visible on the Firefox start screen, is a good idea. E.g. I set 3 rows and fill them with relevant shortcuts. The shortcuts in the bottom row always changes when I visit several websites. My understanding is: Setting the shortcuts as necessary and that's it! Wtf happens, that the last row changes all the time, that makes me fussy. regards wolf

It is extremely annoying that the shortcut tabs forces me to have shortcuts based on my search history

For example, the fact that I visited a website about how to make pasta does not mean that I want that on my home tab every day, I am not wanting to make pasta every single day and if I were to want to make pasta every single day I would most likely not need the recipe

But everyday I do want to access YouTube, so I do want my shortcuts enable. I won’t add it to my bookmarks since they are for more important purposes (also uncomfortable to reach in comparison to shortcuts which are right in the middle of the screen)

That is to say, it is extremely annoying that with the shortcuts enabled I am forced to either filled up all the possible shortcuts or getting shoved some unecessary shortcut recommendations down my throat

There clearly should be an option to do have shortcuts in the home tab but without recommendations based on your search history

I have used Firefox on my PC for ever (10-15 years). Yahoo was set to be my home page so I can get to my email. Starting 5-6 days ago when I click Mozilla Firefox on my task bar it opens a white (blank) page, no yahoo (but it shows yahoo.com in the address bar). I can go to my book marks and got them or type in a URL and go there OK. But, to see my mail I have to open Google Chrome to get to yahoo and log in. If I'm on Firefox and get the blank screen, then go to another URL from my bookmarks then type in yahoo.com it goes back to a blank screen that shows https://www.yahoo.com/ in the address.

Firefox fails to show short cuts in browser page and verified shortcuts is checked and can't find top sites settings. I previously had this show up every time I open Firefox.
