The PW I am using to attempt to sync firefox to my new windows computer is in the active firefox that I currently use. I have checked it in my desktop version and also on my ipad and the PW in both are the same yet when i try to sync the new computer and put the PW in that is in both my desktop and iPad; I get msg it is wrong PW. So then I tried to get a new recovery code (can't find old one) it asks me for the PW and again; get msg it's wrong. How can it be wrong if it's the one in my current firefox that I am typing this on right now? Doesn't make any sense to me! How can the current PW in the active firefox account be incorrect when I try to sync my new computer? (I have double/tripled/quadrupled and even copied the current PW from the PW list in firefox!)

EVERY TIME Firefox updates or the computer shuts down, it loses my bookmarks. I check the box next to Bookmarks in Sync, and the second I hit "sync now" the checked box disappears and the bookmarks do not sync. Friggin annoying. I'm not a programmer so I'm hoping for a user-friendly solution. Thanks!

Hi, after upgrading to Windows 11 all my Firefox saved passwords are gone. My extensions synced, but passwords did not even though I had sync turned on. How can I recover my old passwords or check if they were synced to my Firefox Account?

I just tried to sync to my Firefox on my phone, but when it opened, an ANCIENT EMAIL ADDRESS WAS THERE, and it is not connected to the generated password I selected tonight. Can I get guidance on how to fix this dilemma? I'm also very old, so this stuff comes less quickly than to some of my friends or co-workers.

I bought a new PC 64 bit with Win 11. Insalled the latest Firefox. Loged in to my account, but I can get sync to catch my bookmark the old PC. Eksported the bookmark in HTML from my old PC, but the new PC tells me this is not a HTML file? I shut all the extensions down, bult still no sync?

I have no problems transfer the bookmarks to Edge on my new PC, but I can still not import the bookmarks from Edge to Firefox. I hav read som articles from Morzillas site, byt I can solve this problem. Any good advise?

Hello. My macBook recently died. I was signed into Firefox, so my tabs should have saved. I tried to open / upload them onto my new iMac desktop. But for some reason it only keeps wanting to mirror the open tabs on my iPad, which is not what I want. I want to resurrect the tabs open on my macBook before it died. How do I best do this please? Thanks

How can I transfer open tabs from my old computer to my new one? Syncing is enabled, and the sync tabs checkbox is checked, but the tabs aren't syncing on the new device. I also couldn't find any separate function to load tabs.

My Firefox account is linked to both my Android phone and my Mac. However, I’ve noticed that some browsing history entries available on my Android phone do not appear on my Mac. Most likely, these visits were recorded before I connected my Firefox account to my Android device.

Both devices are running the latest version of Firefox, and sync is fully enabled. I also manually triggered a sync just a moment ago.

Could you please let me know how I can import or sync my existing browsing history from my Android phone to my Mac at this point?

I lost the key and am unable sign in on my Mac Book Pro. Just received cable. Hopeful that I haven’t lost bookmarks and passwords Can I get step by step if possible Thanks

So I've been organizing my bookmarks recently, I deleted a bunch which worked as expected. But there is a specific folder that no matter how many times I try to get it deleted, it will comeback. This happens on my PC and my laptop. I've turned off syncing on both devices as well as logged out from any other Firefox based browser like Zen. Also, this folder used to be well organized, now everything inside is messed up, and children folders dupped.

Firefox was somehow reset after windows update restart. I was trying to sign in to sync, but sign in button gets blurred/disabled, and nothing happens then. I am afraid that I lost my previous session also.

I was trying troubleshooting mode too, but behavior is the same.

Otherwise I can login to my Firefox account web, and I am logged in on my smart phone still.

I have a Firefox account that I've signed into on both my work computer and my home computer, but after logging in on my home computer, it's unable to sync bookmarks from the account.

Around mid-December, various issues occurred with Firefox. Around December 18th, after reinstalling Firefox, I found that I could no longer recover synchronized data from the server, including bookmarks, extensions, and all other synchronized items.

What could be the cause, and how can this be resolved? Could Mozilla have changed any policies that restrict the synchronization function?

I ran a CC Cleaner update this morning on my one main desktop computer and after running this all of the synced bookmarks on this 1 computer across my 3 computers disappeared under the Bookmarks Toolbar. The other 2 computers still show and have access to the bookmarks as we are all signed in under the same account. Of note the Bookmarks Menu and Other Bookmarks have not changed on the main desktop computer. However under the Bookmarks Toolbar the main desktop computer shows an empty bookmarks field. I have tried to reboot, sign out and back in etc. I even tried to download to an html file the bookmarks on the working laptop but when I attempted to choose the file for upload on the problem machine it failed. Any other ideas from the good folks out there would be most appreciated! I have many many bookmarks and it will be quite painful to recreate for just one machine. Thanks in advance for any help! I currently actively use Firefox on three devices, my old laptop with Windows 10, my new laptop with Windows 11, and an Android mobile phone. In the past I've had largely positive experience with the Account sync feature, but after logging into my profile on Win11, my mobile phone seems to disappear from the list (opened tabs), or seems to automatically log out of my profile.
