Starting about a week or two ago, I noticed the text of Firefox is grainy. But when the cursor moved, it would get grainy in a different way. So, some letters which were previously unreadable became readable, but other letters became unreadable.

Going to the same web pages with other browsers renders the page readable. So, the problem seems to be Firefox specific.

Even while typing this, portions of the characters on my screen blink in and out.

If there is no solution, I will have to utilize some other browser.

My firefox broswer is starting super slow since the last update. I am on a windows 10 lap top running McAfee anti virus software.

In my task manager there are multiple firefox icons running. See the attached screen shots.

I copied one of the crash report into the note section below.

If any one know show to correct this slow start up pleas let me know.

I recently got a new laptop with Windows 11 Pro. I installed Firefox from the Mozilla site. When I click to open Firefox, it takes a long time - 41 seconds to be exact. I uninstalled, reinstalled and restarted my computer. I cleared the cache. I tried to run as administrator. Not sure what else to try. As I wait for it to open, it reads "not responding" in the search bar area. Any ideas?

Technical issues After update. I have two computers both of which some problems since the latest Update in February. The microphone won't work on certain apps. One of my extensions are operating as expected and Firefox is not closing all the way or so it's reported. When I go to open up again a new session, it says it's already open but not responding. I have the option close it and then starts right up.

Hi, I'm on Firefox 147.0.3 and windows 11 business 25H2 (26200.7623), with two displays. For the past few weeks: - firefox stays on top - alt-tab to other window on that screen doesn't work, other app is not displayed over firefox - clicking on other app icon in task bar doesn't bring it to foreground/top - even other firefox window (like new private window) is opened in background - the only way around is to minimize firefox - without firefox opened, everything works normally It is really disturbing my flow / ways of interacting with apps / habit of using keyboard to move between apps.

Is it a bug, or is it a matter of some settings? I've seen similar quesiton from 9 years ago https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1140245 but there is no setting of the same name now?

Firefox continues to freeze up even after many FF updates. I am running Ubuntu 22.04LTS. Firefox freezes for no apparent reason. I am lucky if I can just close the browser. But often times I must do a hard shutdown of my laptop. Since the problem first appeared about six (?) months ago there have been a number of Firefox updates, but this problem continues. When will it be fixed finally?

i run Firefox on Win11. When i go to a website, and open several tabs, e.g., 10 or more, firefox just sits there and no longer works on that site. Basically Firefox is becoming quite worthless as a browser for me. The reason i use it are the extensions. This is something that has happened within the last 6 to 9months or so. What is going on. I have been experiencing significant issues with Firefox for the past couple of months. The main concern is high CPU and RAM consumption during video playback, especially on YouTube.

This issue started appearing only for the past month or two; it was never present before on the same system, and no significant hardware changes have been made.

Crucially, this problem is exclusive to Firefox. I have tested video playback on other browsers such as Google Chrome, Brave, and Microsoft Edge, and do not face any similar performance issues with them.

Your assistance in resolving this is greatly appreciated.

On my Windows 11 IOT Enterprise LTSC system firefox does not entirely close. After I installed my professional tax software from Drake Software LLC the following happens repeatedly: I open Firefox, look at a page, close Firefox, the screen clears and when I try to REOPEN firefox a popup says that it is still running and offers close or cancel. Neither button opens,closes or cancels Firefox. I have to reboot to make Firefox (147.02 64bit) close. This happens every time I open Firefox.

Every 5-10minints I get white screen for 2 to 30sec when I use the firefox browser. I have removed many gb of apps to try and address this issue today but can't stop Firefox from using an insane amount of memory. What's up? I've been using Firefox for years and have never had this issue until today. I'd like to keep using your browser but I can't if my computer keeps shutting down.

I have a two monitor setup. Since I installed the new AMD driver (26.1.1), sometimes when I play a game on my main monitor, and watch stream on Twitch in Firefox on my second monitor, it can cause the PC to freeze completely. I hear the sound, but the image is stuck.

I tried to disable the hardware acceleration in Firefox, and it seemed like a good solution. But because of that (which is its function), sites became laggy.

Is this a Firefox, or an AMD issue? Or Windows (I'm on Windows 11 25H2)? I will try to install an older AMD driver, but honestly streams had became laggy before the driver update for me.

Lately when I reconnect to my Mac laptop after a period of sleep, the Firefox browser windows are unresponsive. It seems to be receiving input but does not update the display. I have to quit and reopen Firefox to get it to work again. The menu works, I am able to quit, so it's not like the whole app is frozen. Plus, if I clicked on the "new tab" icon while it was unresponsive, those new tabs show up open after I quit and reopen the browser.

App is unusable. Freezes up frequently. Tried downloading again. Same problem. I am using Chrome temporarily and it is working just fine. Also ran Safari, no problem. Used it to download ESR 115. Worked fine. Definitely a Firefox problem.

Please view screen captures that best show the random issues I have with Firefox browser. This started a few months ago on my desk top PC. I have kept my Firefox up to date using 147.0.1. and still run WIN 10 Home. Although I am sure Linux is in my future!

The issue happens randomly where the top row of my browser disappears off my screen. I can work around the issue no problem but would like to know and understand the issue and if I can resolve it from happening. Firefox is the only app I have this issue with. And it is random and cannot be forced, I have tried....

My Firefox for multiple profiles. After opening one and downloading emails it freezes after a minute or two. I have been using Firefox for years, I am using it on a desktop Windows 11 Pro- version 140.60esr. I have donated to Firefox for a number of years. I have gone into the profile and deleted the extension .msf. It did not correct the problem is still freezes. How can I fix the problem. Many thanks.

The browser is very slow when opening a new tab... When I've opened Youtube it says that the Page is slowing down the browser and it takes a very long time to respond... I'm using MacOs Monterey 12.7.6 and I believe my Firefox is up to date

On my steam deck, from time to time, the firefox's touchscreen support seems to switch modes.

The symptoms are:

- Instead of scrolling, one-finger touch-and-drag now zooms in and out (depending on direction)
- The touchscreen no longer lets me select or close tabs, or focus or click in-page widgets
- This mode-switch is restricted to the firefox window in which it happens
  - Moving the tab to a new window results in the new window working fine
  - Other existing windows are unaffected (although they may later experience a touch mode switch  event)

I have yet to determine what triggers this switch, nor can I figure out how to undo it.
