I watch movies online and last week 1 of my fave sites started showing a internal server error on its links. I looked up the error and it said it was about problems on the site but if I try the same site in another browser it works fine so evidently the problem is with firefox not the site anybody have tips on how to fix this ?

How do I get rid of this error message as it just hungs the firefox browser. Firefox used to worked before and not it is just as slow or worse than the old Internet Explorer. I did the refresh and it does give you a sort off cleaned up instance and then as time go through, its back again. And yes, Firefox is my default browser.

Firefox keeps asking me for master password. It doesn't matter if I type my password in, it reappears over and over and over and over and over. It's become impossible to proceed because that popup prevents any further action on the browser. If I follow the instructions about unselecting "Use a master password", it asks me to ... enter the current password. I do, and the the OK button is grayed out and unavailable.

I'm not using either of the two virus programs you mention (ESET & some other). This is driving me batshit.

Please help resolve this. I'm using v. 79.0 (64-bit) on Windows 7.

Thank you.

Hi, all. I have a problem accesing last item on the tabs list. Firefox makes the list as high as the screen height, not accounting height of taskbar. As a result, I cannot use the last item of this list.

Is there any setting to adjust the height of the list?

Hello all, I have been trying to download a video from YouTube. It runs for over an hour. When clicking on the grapes at the top RHS I get a load of options which I don't understand like wmv,mp4 etc. The times given go from a few Kb to 29Mb which is more realistic for what I want to download. I can't understand why you would only want to download a few Kb of a long video.

Of all the options given which one is the correct one to download what I am watching on the screen? I did get it to record for about 10 minutes then the whole computer just crashed out and shut down. Why? I have also downloaded the odd short video but there is no sound. Other times I get a download symbol in the downloads folder but it's empty and I can't delete it. To play videos I am using VLC.

I am not having much luck with this and I need help please. By the way, please keep replies basic as I am not a computer expert.

Using Firefox 79.0 on Windows 7 (I know, I'm migrating soon) and I'm running into the problem of Firefox being slow to respond and "hanging" for about ten seconds. Resource Monitor indicates that Firefox is using ~60% of physical memory despite only having 12 tabs (10 of them pinned) open. I have 13 extensions installed but the majority of them aren't in regular use. I have 36G of RAM installed.

This seems to start happening if Firefox has been open for a while, even if it isn't being used. I've even started using OneTap to dump saved tabs down and reduce the load but this doesn't seem to help. Closing Firefox down entirely and re-opening it does fix it for a time but it becomes a problem again after not too much longer.

Would appreciate some input.

The troubleshooting information says that I upgraded from ver. 79 to 80 on the 25th. Today is the 27th and when I opened Firefox today it did some sort of updating and now all of my passwords are gone. I've tried finding a solution to this problem to no avail. There's no key3.db file, only key4.db. Anyone have any ideas? Could I restore my system to an older date and go back to ver. 79?

Firefox set to clear all files when closing, it clearly does not! There are many files that are not 'cleared' why is this and why I have to clear them all with a third party software?

Another gripe, you set not to update and it does, it pesters you until you do so why doesn't it do as it's told to do... there are way round this including deleting the update files and removing Firefox maintenance in add remove programs. Whats the point of giving options when Firefox ignores them?

Time to move on, Firefox is getting 'bloated' and a memory hogger according to Task Manager.
