Hello, After upgrade FF ESR 68 -> ESR 78 i lost the possibility to connect to HSTS enabled websites (tested on duckduckgo.com and my nextcloud) on work network.

Work network issue intermediate certificate and with FF 78 i am forced to install that zscaler certificate to make website work, I cannot accept that certificate temporarely.

How to reenable possibility to add exceprion for hsts enabled websites?

Windows 7 Firefox ESR 78 Portable.

For now I downgraded to FF 68.

Hi,

Ever since upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on both my laptop and PC, I've had trouble accessing Steam's websites due to bad certificate domains. I've included a screencap of the error message.

I tried contacting Steam about this problem, since its only on their websites the problem is. They told me that there was no error on their side, and that they suspect that I don't have an "up-to-date trusted root authority" stored. I don't know what that is, and had no luck contacting Windows about the problem. So far I haven't seen this problem appear anywhere I've looked for help, so I am trying posting myself here.

I have already tried: - Reinstalling the certificate automatically for the Steam.exe file - Flushing DNS config // Also tried connecting through Google's DNS server - Repairing Steam install (in case the problem came from the program) - Permanently disabling VPN software and AntiVirus programs from interfering with anything Steam-related - Resyncronizing time on the PC (almost the only solution I could find on the web, still didn't work)

I hope someone can help me.

Hi When I log out of Firefox and then log in again the settings that I want have changed themselves. I want the following settings to remain but they don't.

Logins and Passwords Ask to save logins and passwords for websites Autofill logins and passwords Save History

All the logins and passwords that I want to keep appear in the list and most of the websites still log in as normal BUT there are a couple who insist I re-enter username and password and I don't want to keep having to do this. I have tried clearing all cookies and saved log ins for the problem websites and then re entered them after ticking the login/password option and it works fine. However when I end Firefox and then log in again these websites then insist I re enter everything. I have even deleted version 81 and managed to re-install an earlier version but that still fails.

What I believe to be a mozilla site "https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/" has all the older FF versions but when I downloaded the Mac OS version 81.0 which is the en-US version it does not have the new credit card feature and it also does not have D.O.H. active by default.

The sha256 hash is c4975a1a73dd1976e1f58cf5822921d25f2fb4a0e092897037e039d7ac6b8a67

It should be en-US but it does not have the new credit card feature in the menu. Why? Is FTP site no longer valid?

Hello. I use firefox on my pc. I created master password to work on few pc-s. But what is the point of it, since when I enter mozilla, it asks me to enter it, but I can only close this window and just access anything. Is there a way to have a password that would stop other people using my firefox?

thanks

I updated a sound file on a web server I have access to. When I reloaded a page with a player to play that file, the old sound file still is the one presented by the browser.

Go into Preferences, Privacy, manage data, select the domain involved, delete all the data. Reload the page again. Old sound file still is the one presented by the browser.

Reload again, this time using CMD-R, the hard reload key combo for MacOS. Old sound file still is the one presented by the browser.

Delete sound file from webserver, CMD-R. Old sound file still is the one presented by the browser.

Click play button. Old sound file plays.

Right click on sound control, select Save Audio As... Saving file to my computer appears to happen. However, the file saved is only 281 bytes. When I try playing it, audio player yells at me and says that is not a sound file.

Reload the page in another browser, it reports sound file missing.

Sound from old file still plays in FireFox.

First, I went into settings and deleted the data for the domain where this sound comes from.

Reloaded the page,

All I really want is to get firefox to play the new sound file, but its belief in the old file won't let it see the new one. Firefox has stashed the old sound file somewhere on my system and it keeps insisting that is the file I should have.

Well, there is one other thing I want. I would like acknowledgement that this is a bitchable situation. I hate it that tech world always says every problem is my fault. Maybe if the techworld would stop blaming users for problems they might start figuring out how to handle the news they filter more honestly as well.

Hi,

Recently upgraded from ESR 68.12 to ESR 78.3 I have over 2000 passwords on my Corporate desktop Firefox account and I find I'm unable to access these in anything like a timely fashion. The new Lockwise password manager UI does not appear to be able to display a LIST of passwords based on usernames, date last used, date last changed, urls etc. Is it possible to get a list view instead of the current one, or will I have to downgrade back ESR 68.12 ?

Thanks Bob

I am in Asia using win 7 OS and in the settings I have selected Enable DNS over HTTPS. In the DNS over HTTPS FAQ it is mentioned that: As art of our continuing strategy to carefully measure the benefits and impact of DoH, we are currently focused on releasing this feature in the US only. Does it means that my settings will not be valid?

I am a home user with win 7 OS. In the DNS over HTTPS FAQ it says that

In addition, Firefox will check for certain functions that might be affected if DoH is enabled, including:

   Are parental controls enabled?
Is the default DNS server filtering potentially malicious content?
Is the device managed by an organization that might have a special DNS configuration?

If any of these tests determine that DoH might interfere with the function, DoH will not be enabled. These tests will run every time the device connects to a different network.

Is there any way for me to find out if DOH is enabled or disabled by Firefox?

When going to site using saved login message " View all saved Logins " can be seen. If sombody else is using the system other than myself this will allow all login and password to be viewed for all sites. Other person could be wife or hacker or other. I cannot see that my system is secure when using Firefox. For me to be able to view all logins is a bonus but should NOT be available to just anyone who may use the system. Any comment please?

I have a question about Lockwise and the integration of Monitor.

It is claimed that since version 76, Firefox alerts for vulnerable passwords and breaches.

In this article it is explained that Lockwise scans the stored passwords and warns if one of the passwords is identical to one leaked online as well as that it shows breach alerts for sites that have experienced security breaches.

I have Firefox 79, but I don't seem to get either behavior. I can see breaches for my email addresses in Monitor (where I had to manually add the email addresses). But I don't see anything in Lockwise. See the image below, for example. I created a password "abcde" for the website and nowhere does firefox tell me it's "vulnerable" or that it's been exposed elsewhere (it should at least say it's a terribly bad password).

I entered the "abcde" password in the Bitwarden plugin and it tells me (unsurprisingly) the password has been exposed "46564 times in data breaches".

This brings me to a second question: If Lockwise is unable to automatically show a warning if a password has been exposed/is vulnerable, is there an easy way to check that manually (and securely)? Bitwarden has the checkmark button right next to the password, which allows me to quickly check if a password has been exposed. Any way to replicate this in Lockwise? (To be honest, I would prefer the way it is supposed to work in Lockwise with a banner been shown automatically, instead of manually having to click, but it doesn't seem to work.)

I know, this has been asked before, but either the answer did not help or the addons to solve the problem were removed. In ealier versions the popup for entering the masterpassword did popup when a site asked for a password. Now it pops up some seconds after the start, usually when I'm typing an URL or a search. How to change that? May I either set the seconds somewhere after which it pops up or set FF to not steal the focus if I am typing (which is a very bad behavior!) or change it back to only ask if a site requests a password? I'm frustrated enough to disable the masterpassword which can't be the solution. Thanks in advance
