Is there a way I can have Firefox permanently offer the option to generate a secure password? Many, many, MANY times Firefox will not recognize that a particular input field is for a password, and therefore does not offer the option to generate one. Considering everything on this forsaken planet requires creating an account now, this minor issue has become very common and annoying for me.
To reiterate: I would like Firefox to always offer to generate a password, regardless of how the input field is labeled or marked up. Thanks!

May 2026 Firefox app update has been a disaster for me. Nothing loads, and many log ins, like microsoft or facebook no longer possible. Too many new features take too much data and just never load anymore. Eventhough I set it to delete history on exit, because it saves long lists of history anyway, slowing or stopping all. Password manager suddenly has bern giving the wrong passwords, (suggested ones instead of my registered ones?), so I got logged out of my microsoft and meta accounts on all devices. Does anyone know why? I would appreciate all ideas and remedies. Thank you, cb

When opening the firefox nightly password manager and selecting a password, you have the possibility to edit your saved password by clicking the edit button. After clicking it, you are able to modify the username and the password itself. However, you cannot modify the url/website this password was saved from. For example, I manually entered the login and password for, let's say, my reddit account. However, I misspelled the website and typed in reddot.com. Now, I cannot modify this passwords corresponding website and have to delete it, and make another one where I don't misspell the url. If this is the case for technical reasons/limitations, then I totally understand. However, if this is the case because it was overlooked, then I'd be looking forward to seeing it in future updates.
I cannot delete this password function. I want to delete it completely or stop using Firefox.

Is it possible to add a 'note' to a saved username and password combination to a particular website? This is important in cases where (idiotic) websites require the user to have multiple usernames and passwords for different login routes/roles.

I recently have been having issues w/ Firefox updates & data loss involving an extension I use / Clippings. For other reasons (gaming) I installed Brave browser to compare performance. As a result of the issues I've had recently I decided it would be a good idea to have a backup (export) of my passwords & decided to Import the .csv file created into the Brave browser. The last line of the .csv file has a line that begins w/
chrome://FirefoxAccounts
.... along w/ several other fields. The information contained implies that it has something to do with Sync & also references a URL:
https://identity.mozilla.com/apps/oldsync
... along w/ MANY other operands.
What does this line do ? This does NOT appear to be a working 'setting command' option (like: about:logins or about:debugging) in either Firefox or Chrome. The first 3 cells look similar to (some information changed):
chrome://FirefoxAccounts a5847f4e7faf42f19f17c0f531c77acc {"version":1,"accountData":{"scopedKeys":{"https://identity.mozilla.com/apps/oldsync".... more
