When trying to read a download,half the page is covered with a little pen scrolling across the page covering the text. Is this a Firefox issue and only Firefox as can't shut it off? Don't know how it got ON.

After upgrading FF to 135.0.1 it always fails giving me this error: Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab or Restore All Crashed Tabs to reload the page/pages.

I opened closed it, rebooted, different urls. Firefox doesnt work at all. I had to use Chrome to ask this question.

An error msg that starts with (GAH)!! is this for real?

Every time I try to open an HP website -- hpsmart.com -- I get the error message below. I have to open the site using Safari (when I'm much prefer to use Firefox). Can you help me fix what's wrong?

After using Mozilla / Firefox for at least 30 years everything I had saved, bookmarks, history, passwords, shortcuts, are all gone! I need them back ASAP. I have a Mozilla recovery key but cannot find in all your articles, where to enter it. Please explain to me where to enter the key and why after all these years everything I have accumulated is gone.

Last update Version: 135.0.1 (64 bit) Since I upgraded, all cloudflare robot verifications are not passing. It constantly redirects to the verification page. For this reason, I started using a different browser. I go in and test it from time to time, it is still the same. Update. Fix it.

Note: I reset the browser. I removed the add-ons. I reset the proxy. Cache was cleared.

Result: It still does not pass cloudflare verifications.

I recently downloaded Firefox on my Mac and am having an issue with a "Log in" button not being functional on a website (www.pressdemocrat.com).

A few details: I use uBlock Origin. I added a Firefox exception to allow pop-ups on the website. I cleared cookies and site data I disabled extensions and still had the problem I created a new test profile with no extensions and still had the problem It works on other browsers

The Subscribe and eEdition buttons work on the same website, which is extra-annoying.

On Galaxy 23 Ultra using Android 14 & Ui 6.1 w/ Firefox, my Bookmarks disappeared. How do I get them back? Tried about:profiles, but nothing comes up. Recently due screen going haywire, phone was reset & the shop left me with Google, which I hate. Have been things getting back to Firefox I've used for years. Not sure if lost then. Bookmarks screen/setup I get, must be Google's, because it's not like FF's. I have Samsung & Google backups, but didn't realize Bookmarks were not put in them. Phone & apps are kept updated. FYI if it matters: Due to storm damage, I'm without a computer that might help. Help, pls. I'd be very appreciative.

I am experiencing a flickering/highlighting effect on various webpages when using Firefox on some of my computers (a Microsoft Surface and Asus Laptop, but not my work desktop). Attached photos show an example from Gmail, where the one photo shows it open in Microsoft Edge (no flicker/highlighting effect) and the other photo shows it in Firefox.

When my cursor moves it causes the greyed out portions to jump to other areas. I also see this in places like the toolbar, where the rounded edges of bookmarks are now sometimes a grey square, similar to the greyed out emails in the photo.

I have restarted and reinstalled Firefox with no changes. Any idea what is causing this?

Just used sync in the past month with no issues.

Logged into sync today, immediately after logging in, the error message "Session Expired -- Sorry something went wrong. Please sign out from the browser window and try again." See attachment to see exact error message.

This exact error message appeared on both my PC's when I tried to sync between them. Any thoughts on what is taking place or is there a know issue with Sync from Mozilla today?

Hi I'm having issues with cyber-hacking and it's happening especially when using Mozilla Firefox. Is there any help you might be able to offer or point me in the direction to get some help with hackers who are more like domestic terrorists? Whenever I start a Youtube video ever since turning on Dolby Atmos, there is a good 2-3 seconds of audio cut out of the beginning of every Youtube video launched. This doesn't happen on Edge or Chrome. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox and restarting Firefox but this does nothing. Even when I rewind the video, the audio is not there even though the video is playing.

For about 1 month now whenever I perform a google search using the address bar I get no response. I have to close and reopen FF afew times untill it performs the search.

This occurs in my synced account in any of my Wiondows devices. Troubleshoot mode makes no difference.

I've uninstalled all 3 plugins which iI use but to no avail.

For downloads, I have always set Firefox to ask [a] where to put file and [b] what to name it (see attached screenshot from my current Settings page).

But starting several months ago, most of my downloads just dump the file in the Windows "Downloads" heap with whatever file name the web site assigns it. This means that I have to act quickly to [a] figure out what the file name is, [b] rename it something meaningful, and [c] move it to a folder so I can FIND it if I need it (otherwise why bother to download).

Example. Amex names my monthly statements in this form: 2025-05-20.pdf. To SEE what that name is, using the command prompt I immediately sort the downloads folder by date to find the latest file. I then rename it to be Amex20250520.pdf and move it to the folder where I keep my all Amex statements.

Since this happens with multiple (but not all) websites I download from, I assume that the problem is probably not in the web-site client software, but as the result of a change in one or more of the components involved in the download (e.g. Firefox and/or Windows).

But most of the web sites I deal with now handle almost all customer service via AS (Artificial Stupidity) bots, so there's no way to report this to an actual human bean who MIGHT be able to diagnose and fix the problem.

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer on how to deal with this annoyance.

I keeep a file on my system which is essentially an annotated list of links to useful references. Since upgrading to Firefox 135.0, I can no longer open links to these references if they are local documents (links to websites work fine). Attempting to open a local document (usually an .odt file) brings up a window describing the file and offering tp save it, or open it with the system handler. Opening with the system handler produces an error message "unknown error" and suggests trying saving to disk first. Clearly Firefox does not know how to deal with .odt files, and I can find no way of telling it.

If I get to Settings - General - Files and Appications and scroll down the Applications window to ODT document, I find it set to "Always Ask". I can change this to "Save File", "Use System Handler (default) or "Other". "Save File" is not what I am trying to do, and the other two options produce the same result as "Always Ask". There seems to be no way of telling Firefox to open .odt files with Writer (or anything else for that matter.) The support page (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-firefox-behavior-when-open-file) suggests that I should have a further option "Use<application name>". But it just does not appear. Anyone any ideas?

I have a banking site that works on firefox, yet this firefox does not accept password saving or user id savings. Though it does every other site I have used, except this one. Any ideas what is going on with that?

After asking from an customized Al at https://huggingface.co/spaces/hd-hg/First_agent_template, I tried to take a screenshot of it's error message but the screenshot taken is white. If I tried to take a screenshot with the built-in Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS "Take a screenshot" tool, the screenshot included the content that I wanted to screenshot. I am attaching these two screenshots for reference.

Also Outlook told me that screenshots@mozilla.org does not exist but it is listed as a available source in about:support page in Firefox browser.

I am using the compilation ID 20250211160552. No snap, the official one from the repository.

Unfortunately, I have lost all of my browsing history on Firefox. There are no recently closed tabs that I can restore, and I've also checked for recently closed windows, but there are none to recover. It feels as though my entire digital footprint has vanished, leaving me unable to revisit important pages or retrieve valuable information I was previously accessing. Please help me.
