Though i did not log into any sites recentl, the status for all my saved logins indicate they were last used either yesterday or the day before. How can this be? Have they been compromised?

Hello and great work so far Firefox team!

Currently, Firefox can be used in Windows from the command line to open any URL (start firefox www.google.com). Since any browser is expected to have Internet access to any website or IP address, this is a real security concern in case of default deny security for firewall outbound traffic.

Here is a hacker scenario: The PC has a list of whitelist applications allowed to connect to the Internet. This prevents lots of malware from connecting to their remote servers. However, malware can bypass that by listening on localhost and requesting Firefox to open the remote server. This way the malware sends and receives data with the server using Firefox after requesting an URL with the malware local port specified as query parameter.

This can be avoided with a special about:config option that completely disables command line processing. I don't know if that's entirely possible, but preventing Firefox to start URLs from command line or explicitly requesting Internet access for static HTML files should be enough.

Note: I use NoScript and that helps in this case, but it is not a bullet proof solution. It may be possible that one of the CDN I have allowed gets hacked with malicious JavaScript. If the malware is already on the PC, it can connect to the remote server using the hacked CDN that is allowed in NoScript. This is a two piece attack, but I still think that using Firefox to access to random URL from command line is dangerous and should have an option to be turned off.

A few weeks ago a small link of the current page started appearing at the bottom of the page when playing videos on every website on every device that has Firefox. Ive seen this link before but it always goes away when I put the video in full screen. A temporary fix is going to another tab and switching back. This makes it go away until I see another video.

FF says "account disconnected" but I did not disconnect it.

Ok. So reconnect and launch sync. No problem. 4 other machines have FF and syncing works great.

See tabs etc synced just as I am used to from decades of happily using FF.

But close out and restart. WIN 11 new desktop.

Come back to FF and get "account disconnected".

since yesterday I cannot use Firefox anymore; nothing works; cannot load any website when I can with Safari on macbook runnin 13.2.1 and firefox runs OK on my android phone. Hello, Fo years I've used native Firefox on my Ubuntu system (which is /usr/bin/firefox). Now I've switched to snap firefox, because it's the new way to use and update Firefox on Ubuntu systems. I used too an extension called Open with (https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/open-with/), to open shell scripts when I right clicked on a hypertext link to use it in the script shell. Then the script did its job with the url link received in parameter. I know it wasn't the goal of this extension, but It did the job I wanted. Now, in the snap firefox, I cannot do the same. It seems its because native messaging (https://developer.mozilla.org/fr/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Native_messaging) doesn't allow permission to interact with others applications (fix me if I'm wrong). I test several extensions, but I didn't find one to do the same job, and I've not the skills to developp it. Si here's my question: is there a way to do execute this type of script (not JavaScript) doing a right click on a link? Thank you for your help.

I just filled all of this out. When I clicked on Submit everything disappeared and the boxes are now red. Really, I have to go through all of it again. Oy! What is Word 97-2003 doing there? Why is my phone an option? I didn't give Firefox my number. That's one problem. This issue makes my skin crawl. If I have to fill out a form on a new website all I have to do is type J and my full name, all of my email addresses, my physical address, and phone number appear in little boxes below the lines of the form. This is new and i really don't like it. Why, out of nowhere, is my information avaiblabe on the entire internet? If I hit Submit and these boxes turn a new color I will start screaming.

Like many people, I have professional and personal email accounts. A long time ago, before Pocket was a part of Firefox, I created a Pocket account associated with my personal email address. And, at some point I associated Firefox with my professional email address. Now that Pocket is a part of the Firefox family and there is a push to use the Firefox login as the Pocket login, I'd like to unify these accounts. The Pocket login using my personal email address has clearly now become its own Firefox account. So, when I try to make one email address the secondary for the other Firefox account, that is disallowed with the popup saying that the account (associated with that email) already exists. Is there a simple solution? Or, is the easiest way to continue having two Firefox accounts, one I only use for Pocket?

While checking it in the firefox I found that the website is so lazy and break down while during the loading time. Could anyone here can guide me about this issue?

I have multiple accounts for a particular site and have usernames and passwords saved in Firefox for all of them. I use one of those accounts most of the time and use the others occasionally for particular tasks. I would like Autofill to autofill that main account's information, but it defaults to autofilling one of the other accounts and I have to manually select the one I want from the dropdown before logging in. Is there a way to select which account information is autofilled, or some trick to get it to show the right account by default, like deleting and re-adding all the other accounts?

URL links in Mac Mail have suddenly stopped opening when the Firefox app is not running. Clicking on a link will open Firefox, but will stay on the homepage and not continue to the clicked URL.

I wondered if I could get help understanding why a crash might be happening. Firefox seems to suddenly be crashing for a reason I can't determine. This crash was when I opened a YouTube tab, but it also happened on a Pinterist tab yesterday. I was running Firefox in troubleshooting mode on this most recent crash, which had the following id:

The only thing I've changed recently is moving some extensions from the main toolbar to the new extensions "puzzle piece" area, as well as switching from the default theme to the dark theme offered in the themes area.

It's only half-working though as in first screenshot. I've tried messing about with padding & margins - to no avail.

The 2nd screenshot zooms in on bottom-left corner and shows a faint blue outline (shadow?).

Any suggestions on fixing the border?

Just recently I noticed that if I click a desktop shortcut or email link, it opens Firefox to the home page. The only way a shortcut will open the specific page is if Firefox is open already. This happens if I select opening a link in a new tab or new page. Again, this never used to happen until very recent.

Also, this only happens with Firefox on my Mac. On Windows, Firefox doesn't need to be open already in order for the shortcut to open the specific page.
