Everytime I try to upload a file to my desktop, Firefox gives me the message File Uploader Not Responding then gives me the option to close or wait. if I wait, nothing changes.

Recently converted to Firefox.

I routinely receive images from one sender that has a banner that renders two to three times the screen width no matter the screen size.

This issue doesn't occur on the Gmail Mobile app only while viewing Gmail on Firefox (The issue is not resident in Chrome).

Hello, as of this morning, none of the bookmarks I save on my android phone are syncing across to my PC. When I open my PC, I can see that sync is still working (as all open tabs on my phone are showing as open on the Tabs Pickup screen). I can see that several pages I bookmarked yesterday have saved without issue, so this is something that's happened today. I have my PC set to clear history whenever I close the browser, but I've manually cleared all history and cache. I've also manually synced. I've gone into settings and checked that Bookmarks are still selected as one of the things to Sync.

I have gone to about: sync-log and this is what I see:

Can anyone help? I've been using Firefox for years on my PC, but have only recently started using the Firefox app on my phone and I love the sync feature. Many thanks.

In about:config, I see two settings for controlling the minimum amount of time for DNS cache expiration: network.dnsCacheExpiration and network.dnsCacheExpirationGracePeriod. What is the difference between them? They are both set to 60 seconds by default.

I am attempting to disable the Recent Bookmarks section from the bookmarks menu in Firefox Windows version 111. The main solution that's been suggested in the past is to use about:config and change browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked to false.

This setting appears to be ignored in my version as changing it has no affect.

Any other steps?

When DNS over HTTPS is not enabled in Firefox and I set network.dnsCacheExpiration to 600 seconds, evidence from about:networking#dns shows that the minimum DNS cache expiration time is indeed 600 seconds. However, when I enable DNS over HTTPS and set network.dnsCacheExpiration to 600 seconds, the network.dnsCacheExpiration setting seems to be ignored. New DNS cache entries are able to have far less than 600 seconds to expiry. Why is network.dnsCacheExpiration ignored when DNS over HTTPS is enabled? Could this be a bug in Firefox?

I have having alot of trouble. I am unable to get Netflix to work in Normal mode of firefox. It will work in trouble shoot but not in reg mode. The page will not load all the way and than it locks up . I have done every suggestion that i have found and yet it still will not load and work. I have been trying to fix this problem for a week now. I have uninstalled and re installed 3 times now. and yet it still will not work. I have now gone to Edge to watch Netflix.

In the last 4 days Firefox is constantly freezing on the Tile Pages of multiple streaming sites. It becomes non-responsive, and won't let me reload or use the Home button. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration and clearing the cache and I still have the same issue.

Why am I NOT able to LOGIN to FIREFOX or PRIVATE BROWSER? I was able to login this morning now it's afternoon & I am trying to LOGIN and nothing is happing. Am using the latest version of FIREFOX.....so what's happening?

Since past few years, I use Firefox for the peace of mind... But never get that.

Every now and then many sites are not supported properly.... And it severely gives now headache....

Please somebody help reach this message to original developers and not community... I'm fed up of this.

Many developers also fed up of Mozilla... and stay away from updating add-ons or extensions... I literally felt helpless many times...

Since the days of Go Corp.'s PenPoint and Windows for Pen Computing, I have been accustomed to select text by just dragging the stylus --- that no longer works --- for some reason the stylus has now been dumbed down to be an 11th touch input which scrolls.

Why?

How can I get back the far more expressive behavour of drag-select text with a stylus and using touch when I wish to scroll?

As an FYI, I handed a stylus and my Samsung Galaxy Book 12 (running Windows Build 1703 which predates this change) to a technician at the local Best Buy and they had no problem selecting text --- when I challenged them to select text on a Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 running Windows 11 using the stylus they were unable to to.

Could we please have an option to restore the traditional behaviour?

doesn't seem to work when it is enabled.

Youtube has this issue the most. On any other browser YouTube works fine; however, on firefox, videos sutter, play at a very low FPS and if I try to interact with the page like pause the video, it takes somewhere between 5 to 20 seconds for the site to respond and actually pause the video.

This happens on other websites as well that have interactive features

Additionally, when on sites like discord or LinkedIn, if a video starts playing and I pause it the audio will continue playing and loop and overlap over itself. The only way it will stop is if I refresh the site.

I have tried updating my video drivers, reinstalling them, changing all the settings possible on my computer to make it work but nothing yet. Thanks for the help.

I have not been able to log into www.mycigna.com account for the past week or so. I use DuckDuckGo as the search engine and never had this problem logging into my account before using Firefox. For the past week I have been getting this message when I submit my log in data - We're sorry but myCigna is unavailable at this time. Please contact our customer service for assistance. So, I called them today and spoke with a tech. I told him I used Firefox and DuckDuckGo and he advised me that others have had that problem using ddg as a search engine. He asked me to try to log in using a different browser and I was able to log in and access my account using Edge. So, I tried Firefox again after changing the search engine to Edge and still wasn't able to log in. Do you guys have any idea why I can't log in using Firefox anymore, or should I just continue to use Edge for that particular website? If you can help, please let me know. Thanks Larry

I recorded USB webcam pictures with MJPG_streamer and converted them to mp4 using

  ffmeg -r 20 -pattern_type glob -i "*.jpg" -c:v libx264 test.mp4

Firefox complains "video can't be played because the file is corrupt" Google Chrome and VLC have no problems playing the file.

What options for ffmpeg do I need to create the mp4 files so that firefox can play them?
