Hi!

I am getting messages that I am blocking ads for many of my internet requests. I had never received these before but all of a sudden I started to get them. I have tried a number of things but nothing works.

I am running Windows 11 and do not have any Ad blockers.

Hello. I am setting up a site on Linux server using Apache as reverse proxy , with ASP.NET as application server . since installing SSL , I had few mixed content blocking that i was managed to fix using CSP directive in Apache configuration file. site has no issue with all browser except Firefox. the only issue is that in admin section , to configure a option. system will load a js file that simply a dropdown with list of options to choose from . when using Firefox , it tries to redirect that page to login page . for test , i clicked on the link i located in Developer tools , which directed me to login page , entered my credentials, and scripts loads showing the drop down box and ok button. is been 3 weeks i been looking for every solution and i have done everything .. but nothing have worked. now I am resort to having to use other browsers if i need to use that functionality in admin page. In page header file name : login , location : http://MYDOMAIN.ca/login?ReturnUrl=%2FAdmin%2FDiscountRulesCustomerRoles%2FConfigure%3FdiscountId%3D6%26_%3D1702682353293 , which are not correct . and browser such as Brave and Safari dose not show different path and file name and everything is correct. dose anyone know how to fix this .. ? i saw a solution mentioned as stated resting Firefox ,but can not find a way to reset , but i have reinstalled Firefox and constantly having this issue on this single section of the page . Hello. I was browsing for something on Amazon and I noticed this annoying icon in my search bar as well as a popup asking me to enable some new feature called "Review Checker". I have clicked close, and it appeared again. Then I clicked Not Now. Still I wasn't sure it's completely disabled because the icon in the search bar wasn't gone. I've done extensive search on how to properly disable this feature but I couldn't find a working solution.

For example, there are some config flags suggested here, https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/disable-review-checker/td-p/47370 and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1443734

Accordingly, I've set browser.shopping.experience2023, browser.shopping.experience2023.ads.enabled, and browser.shopping.experience2023.enabled to FALSE. I restarted Firefox. However, once I got to the product page on Amazon, I still see the Review Checker button in my search bar. This feels like a bug. Should I submit a bug ticket or is there a way to make it disappear for good?

I develop wordpress websites on FF Dev Ed on a Mac running macOS12.7.4. This current problem is one I've never seen before.

• In a regular window of FFDE, dropdown items on the menu, don't drop down.
• A youtube video, visible in the source and in the editor, doesn't display on the page.
• A gallery of logos doesn't appear on the page, though it does in the editor and the editor's preview.

These problems DON'T APPEAR

• in a private window,
• in vanilla Firefox,
• in another user account, using FFDE
• on other websites, using FFDE
• in other browsers,
• on other computers, using FFDE

In all those cases, site works perfectly. Actions:

• refreshed the page (dozens of times),
• cleared the site cache, the browser cache (Managed the data AND cleared the data)
• turned off all extensions,
• put the browser in troubleshooting mode,

all with no change. Although I don't think anyone else will see the problem, the site is https://homeopathyschool.org What am I missing?

At first, youtube had a glitch while I was watching a video, all the suggestions were from the same account on the right, and the rest of the screen was greyed out. Then it came back but the video played with a lot of skipping (I have 1gbps FTTH fibre, so that should not happen) and then it started to eat up a whole lot of memory with one firefox process being at 3gb of ram. I closed Firefox in Task Manager and then after waiting a bit for the system to stabilize, when it finally did, I restarted Firefox and it now was in French (Canadian), I am Canadian so I guess me adding the language to firefox for when I am typing in french is why it was there, but my default language was US English. The Restore session window was in French (CA) and I had to change it in the options.

Don't know what happened here exactly, but I thought I should report it, since I have telemetry turned off. It's working fine again, so maybe I could just blame windows, when I boot in Ubuntu 22.04 there's never a hiccup.

I have one Windows and one MacBook machine and Firefox on both. Both are signed in to my Mozilla account. On the Windows machine I have 5+ containers, these containers never sync to my MacBook Firefox. I have signed out of all machines, including an iPad and iPhone. Nothing has worked over multiple months. Note that at some time in the past the containers did sync.

The MacBook is on Sonoma 14.5, and FireFox 128.0. The Windows is Windows 10 Pro and FireFox 128.0.

Please help.

Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com

Can not go to x.com because of this, so what happened between last night and today? This is not a good thing for Firefox and it is upsetting!

Hi. I am asking for help: how to protect with a password (preferably master) any access to the browser (and not only to logins), where there is simultaneous synchronization between several devices. Currently it works like this: I run FF, a popup appears for entering the password. I do not enter the password, I close the popup with "x". And thus I have access to everything that was previously open in the browser (in the previous session). If the user was logged in, I also have access to it. And I would like the use of "x", failure to enter a password, or entering an incorrect one to result in, for example, closing FF. So that there is no access to FF content

On occasion, eBay styling breaks, leaving me with plain unstyled HTML. Photo below for example.

This doesn't happen everytime, and it happens randomly. But once it has happened once there's no good way of fixing it, and I often have to swap browser.

There have been a number of questions about this on support.mozilla, but all are archived. One of the suggested solutions is to disable tracking protection for the site, on the premise that eBay's tracking files are mixed in with their styling files, but disabling tracking protection does not fix the problem.

I'm using FF 128.0 on macOS Sonoma 14.5.

For me, the solution was to disable the disconnect.me browser extension.

My GF just rung up, she is running FF 128.0 (64-bit) from Ubuntu snap on Ubuntu Linux 22.04.4 LTS (which I set up for her and use myself)

She complained that whenever she starts up FF she gets a display about "MS Windows Defender" and ringing some allegedly Microsoft number together with a recorded message over and over.

I logged into her machine remotely using the SSH connection I've set up (Fiewalled so only I can do it), killed FF and she tried it again with the same result.

I told her go go onto Chrome for now, which she did without incident. On no account should she ring the number, which is obviously that of a scammer, although they would be confused by a Linux system.

In the meantime I had a look round the files on her machine. I couldn't find anything in particular, but I wasn't very sure where to look.

I tried deleting the contents of .cache/mozilla/firefox/0e35ujgr.default/startupCache and that enabled her to use FF again but I notice it got repopulated, seemingly with stuff relevant to Windows - however I see that exists on my system.

She almost exclusively uses Facebook on the system, I wonder if it is malware from a FB ad?

Has anyone got any idea about what this malware is, where it came from and what files I should remove from her system if it happens again.

I am getting the following error after updating my Firefox installation: XULRunner This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile.

I have tried creating a new profile and deleting the old ones, restarting Firefox, and even uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it. The error still persists.

How can I get the error to quit popping up every time I open Firefox?

Hello everyone, I am experiencing this issue since - I suppose - Firefox Sync existed. My main machine has - like any other machine I own - Firefox always up to date and a set of plugins like No-Script, an ad-blocker, a theme, GUI icon disposition and whatnot. When I install Firefox on a new device or machine and then proceed to sync them, I lost the theme across all my synced devices, ALL of the registered sites I have trained No-Script and the adblocker not to block and my GUI settings. In short every new machine with a fresh install and sync of Firefox will wipe and overwrite to its defaults any synced custom configuration I have. Is there a solution for this?
