so yeah I live with bad internet and so i see the "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." quite a lot and up an till today it was aways in a dark mode

But now its in a light mode a bunning my eyes help

There is a known issue for some i3 users that when we click the right-mouse button, the context menu will pop up in a position where the first item in the menu is already highlighted, so when the right mouse button is released, it automatically "selects" that item. So if we want to copy a link, for example, we have to be careful to move the mouse before releasing the button or that link will immediately be opened in a new tab.

What some of us have done in the past is to create a userChrome.css file setting a top (and/or left) margin for that menu, which fixes the issue.

In the latest version(s?) of Firefox, this no longer works (but other userChrome.css rules I have set up continue to work), so I'm assuming that the ID of the context menus has been changed. What is the ID now?

I often search with the adress bar without thinking, and when searching 'maps' I accidentally hit 'yes' on the little drop down that says 'did you mean...' with the url. Now every time I try to search 'maps' in the address bar unless I specifically press the down key or use @g (or @ddg etc) I am taken to a url I have no use for. How do I disable this default? I spent ages trawling through settings to try to find where to turn this off.

Hi. I was wondering if there's any way to change the shape of shortcuts like Chrome (Square to circle). I mentioned two images. Unfortunately, MaterialFox's theme could not help me and there weren't similar themes or extensions.

And I don't want shortcuts become bigger/highlighted like 3rd image, when I hold the cursor on them.

Through no action of my own, the background color for FF has changed from white to black, which I absolutely abhor. I've wasted a lot of time trying a lot of recommended fixes that haven't work. As much as I like FF, I am now working with Edge in Windows 11. This change will be permanent if I don't find a fix for the FF problem.

In version 98, a change was made so that the download panel always opens every single time any file is downloaded. I have found that I never, under any circumstances, want or have ever wanted this behavior, nor do I ever ever serendipitously benefit from it. It is continuously annoying. How do I defeat it?

When I try to check the box to open previous windows and tabs on startup it won't let me. Why not?

I want Firefox to save files without asking. I need it for E2E test automation, recentyl something has to change in update because even in GUI I don't see an option to remember my choice. In case of E2E framework I had a setting which was working but now stopped to work:

How to do it today?

Have latest version of Firefox Browser on my macbook. Used to be when I "Bookmark Current Tab" I could select where that bookmark was saved but not just goes into toolbox. How can I change that so once again I can save to bookmark folder I want?

I set up firefox to use the search bar, and the first time I used firefox I typed into the search bar and it worked that way; however, each time thereafter when I typed into the search bar the text appeared in the address bar. I have tried resetting the selection without success. Any suggestions?

Time is passing, new versions releasing, but problem are same. Firefox 71 had a good looking colored cleartype. Fonts was clear and pretty. And new versions have a monochromatic cleartype, which makes fonts to look like sh1t. How to take back a colored cleartype? Just tell me, how. I tried many gfx.font_rendering.cleartype_params, but nothing is working.

Longtime Firefox user, thanks for a great browser! Since about version 68 or 67 my font size on the toolbar and the menu bar and the bookmark list the fonts have become tiny. Maybe 6 point. I can barely read them. I set default zoom to 110% for all pages and set text size at 20pts. But the tabs, menu bar and bookmarks are all so tiny. How do I get them larger? I'd be happy with 12pt type font. Thanks for any help, squintingly yours idaveusa

How to change sidebars and backgrounds back to White background (or at least a light gray) with Black text contrasting on top. Too much Dark and gloomy now days. Or allow a theme color schemes that fixed it back like it was before updates.

Please don't force gloom on our browser.
