I used to be able to move through an article using the UP/DOWN arrows on my keyboard, but they no longer seem to work. Has a change been made in the most recent version of FireFox? It is very inconvenient.

Within the last few days, I've noticed that Firefox (v135 64bit) quits playing audio from YouTube videos after a few seconds. Audio outside of Firefox works as expected. I've followed the directions to resolving common audio issues, including resetting Firefox, clearing the cache and have disabled all extensions to no avail. Running on Windows 11.

No audio coming out of any website while streaming using Firefox. No issue with Google Chrome. This started recently. Windows 11 Home Edition Version 24H2 Build 26100.3194

Hi Foxy experts! NO SOUND!!! I already uninstalled then reinstalled. Tried 3x. Even restarted computer. ONLY w firefox (like w youtube and movie trailers on web pages). Chrome and Edge have sound just fine. Running windows 11 home, version 24H2, build 26100.3194, installed on 10-28-24. But no sound started Saturday after Valentine's Day. Sound went away when the romance ended. Please help! I love Firefox but may quit for good!

Whenever I start a Youtube video ever since turning on Dolby Atmos, there is a good 2-3 seconds of audio cut out of the beginning of every Youtube video launched. This doesn't happen on Edge or Chrome. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox and restarting Firefox but this does nothing. Even when I rewind the video, the audio is not there even though the video is playing.

Having an issue playing purchased movies from YouTube that have played before for a year on a new HP Envy Laptop. Google/YouTube support had me try to play the movies in Chrome (I use Firefox always) and they played. Google wouldn't provide any further assistance. This is laptop has Firefox as the Default Browser. I believe same settings as my previous laptop, also HP.

Firefox is up to date as well. Any ideas?

Hi there! Ever since I believe two days ago, playing videos in the Firefox browser have been giving me issues. Videos often end up looking scrambled/glitchy. It starts off mostly in green but sometimes turns multicolored, and the tab the video is in starts lagging or freezing. At first I thought it was a YouTube issue, but it's happening on other websites as well, even for animated gifs. I tested some videos in Edge, and so far I haven't had any glitchiness there yet.

I currently have Windows 11, and Firefox is up-to-date. I've attached screenshots from three different websites. Happy to provide other info if needed!

I've been using Firefox for the various iterations of Windows for many years and it's gone smoothly. Now, when I play a YouTube or Instagram video in Windows 11, the video often becomes just an image of pixelated multicolored squares. The sound continues to play normally. On YouTube, the video continues to play. On Instagram the video tends to freeze. I've attached a screenshot from an Instagram video.

I checked my external monitor and it's definitely the laptop, which is less than a year old. This only happens with videos and other browsing works as usual. I have no issue using Chrome, so it seems to be a Firefox thing. I tried clearing the cache and history. When that didn't work, I uninstalled Firefox completely and reinstalled it. Same issue. I've attached a screenshot from an Instagram video. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

i have been using firefox for quite some time. but as of late when i open a reels video on f/b sound works fine just no video. i have deleted ff and re loaded the latest ver. it will work on microsoft edge any help appreciate

on Sunday, Feb. 02, 2025, at about 20H15 PT, WSJ security monitor "zapped" Firefox browser audio player . While i was texting my son the security was challenged to listen to my keystrokes , from both my iPhone & laptop, while i had music from my speaker system in the background.

My iPhone & laptop "use" Firefox browser. Cannot get sound when i try to play online playlists.

Maybe reinstall Firefox browser on iPhone & PC laptop will correct the problem?
