I've always used Firefox, always updated. Recently, some videos on YouTube don't play, but only a few... and videos sent via WhatsApp Web too, they don't play. But this only happens when I use a specific Wi-Fi network. On all the others, everything works 100%. The place where I use this specific Wi-Fi network is where I work, at home it works normally. Any idea how to solve this? On all the other browsers everything works normally. Sometimes the videos that don't play...if I close the tab and open a new one, they play...

A Google Search produced a file within my Mac as one of its responses. It took me awhile to figure out it was the response beginning , "https://downloads . . ." I knew Google's reputation as the worst spy of internet activity, but I thought it only searched the internet. How can I prevent Google searching within my computer files?

I'm having issues with my home screen shortcuts favicons not updating. when i try to edit the shortcut > use custom image > i enter the favicon.ico url > hit preview > the preview updates but my home screen shortcut doesnt.

This article didn't workout for me https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings and it occurs on both my linux machine and my windows machine.

Not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this, if I'm missing something, or if i'm missing a step in my troubleshooting.

Is there an option somewhere for eye strain and if so where is it? For some reason every website has always looked like it's stuck in that setting where it reduces blue light to help your eyes, and as someone who develops games having the wrong colors has been a bit annoying.

sudden, strange refusal by Firefox to log in to the public on-line access (of a certain university hospital) which on-line service I have regularly used -- its certificates are up to date; no one else around me has had any problem logging in. NB I can access by using the Fiirefox 'Private Browsing' option, but it so happens that using the 'Private Browsing' is very inconvenient here for other reasons. Please advise.

I installed Firefox on my Chromebook using the Debian installer. I was able to right click the installer and click install. It's worked really well so far, but the only issue I'm noticing is that MP4 files have no audio and I cannot unmute them. The video plays fine, it's just set to mute and nothing I do will unmute it, including right clicking the video and toggling mute.

To be clear, YouTube videos play just fine through Firefox, and the above video video plays fine in Chrome or even via Discord (which I also installed the same way, using the .deb file).

I'm guessing it's an issue related to Linux (maybe there's a codec that isn't available?), but if there is a solution that anyone knows about I'd appreciate it!

I'm a mac user. A few days ago, I got a message on Firefox stating that a new update wasn't able to download automatically, and it advised me to download the latest version of the app instead. I attempted to do this from the Mozilla site, but the file would never download no matter how long I waited; it would get all the way to the end and just spin endlessly without completing the download. I thought I might be having some issue with Firefox in general, so I attempted to uninstall and reinstall the app; I uninstalled it but then found myself still unable to download the app to reinstall it even while using other browsers like Chrome or Safari. I've tried repeatedly to download the app while connected to different wi-fi networks, networks which I've known to be stable. I've been able to download other files without an issue (although none I've tried are as large). I even tried to complete the download using a proxy site, but was still unsuccessful. Is there anything else I can try? Thank you!

You guys have seriously screwed up! I want YOU GUYS to fix it or I am down the road to a different browser!

When attempting to perform a google search, if I include the text "c++" in my search, the "++" is always chopped off. It doesn't matter where it is in the search text and also happens if it is the only thing in the search. This also happens if i choose a suggested search topic that has the ++ in the search topic. I do not experience this with Edge and i do not experience this with Firefox installed on another computer. I am signed into the same profile with both computers. I am running Windows 11.

I can repro this issue with +, #, and &. Other special characters seem fine.

How do I get my homepage back to the normal 'recent activity' page layout with most used links at the top? I am not 4 years old, I don't need big pictures. I need a list of my regular sites in order of use in a legible font-size (forget the pix) that fit neatly on the screen so I don't have to go scrolling. Is that too much to ask?

I need help to figure out why Firefox is preventing me from going to websites I have used for a long time. Says it is a security threat. Won't even let me connect to Youtube.com

I'm not sure what exactly caused this. Normally when i opened history page by ctrl + h, the page popped on the left side, but suddenly it's on the right side which is annoying. i couldn't find the solution for this and i don't change any setting on about:config or anything like that while searching. I also attached a screenshot example.
