Hi, I hope you're having a wonderful day, and I hope someone can help me with this.

3 days ago, I accidentally press a hotkey, then the web page becomes smaller, and has empty space around it (screenshot: https://ibb.co/RQ74q3Z ). I attached the screenshot below, too. This doesn't affect other web pages. When I open the same page from my other computer, it happens the same way. I tried [ctrl +] and [ctrl -], but it only changes the font size and doesn't make the space go away.

Thank you for your help.

I rarely update Firefox because something always breaks. Today I upgraded from v60 to v72.0.1 - and something broke

I'll probably get the names of these things wrong, but with my older version, I typed the url that I am looking for in the "address bar" and everything worked great.

But now with v72, when I start typing in the address bar, I get a big blue bar at the top of the page with a little google icon in it that says "search with google". The characters that I type in the address bar are echoed in the blue bar that has appeared.

In Options / Search I have:

the radio button selected for "use the address bar for search and navigation"
google is my default, and oniy search engine
I have unchecked Provide Search Suggestions
I have no "one-click search engines" selected

I do not want this blue drop down bar. Not ever. How do I get rid of this drop down thing? I also have a new annoying little "Whats New" icon in my tool bar, and I don't see how to get rid of that either?

Thanks

Hi, I am not sure what happened, I have been using FF for a long time with no problems. Everytime I load up firefox, it has erased my tabs and I have no history. Upon uninstalling it and reinstalling for some reason the "history" comes back, but after the next shutdown and restart, it's all gone again. I am unsure as to why. Also when I log into my FF account, my computer I use while working doesn't sync to this one either. I am confused more by the tabs not reopening and history disappearing than the sync. Under options I already have it ticked to remember my tabs. All Plugins are uninstalled now and still doesn't fix it Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, I really love everything about Firefox Developer Edition, except the JSON viewer. I'm used to looking at plain formatted JSON like the JSON Formatter plugin provide. But, even thought I have installed JSON Formatter (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/json-formatter/?src=recommended), it only shows this tree/table-ish viewer that comes with Firefox Developer Edition. Is there any way to disable this feature and use a plugin for this, just as in Firefox ?

I just signed up for Firefox Monitor. Most of the accounts it says were breached are ones I recognize, and I have changed my passwords. However, it also says there were data breaches affecting two sites I do not have an account with at all (Whitepages and Verifications.io). What do I do about those, since I haven't got an account (I don't even know what Verifications.io is), so I don't have a password to change.

Hi

I am busy setting up GPO for Mozilla Firefox after my client did a security audit.

So on the GPO I see that everything Applies to Firefox 60 ESR or later, does this mean the latest version of "normal" non ESR Firefox will also work?

Thanks

I can login to this forum (and post a question). I suspect that it's because my e-mail is so very short (7 characters) that some reg-ex filters think it's not valid - but it is. When I enter my e-mail in the login screen, I always get a red suggestion for another domain, but my e-mail ends with just "c.dk" which is valid, and having just to characters before the @ makes the e-mail address very short.

I lost a whole Ext4 partition, however it appears that there is chances to recover raw data from my disk. There is a very important profile within the lost partition that contains very important bookmarks. Now if I want to use file carving techniques for recovering the lost data, which formats or text patterns may help to identify the data? Can I specify lz4 and sqlite formats? what are the other formats? Which text pattern can I use to recover the bookmark files using grep tool over raw disk data?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Firefox is running slow across all sites. I've followed all the troubleshooting steps with any significant improvement. Running in safe mode has no effect on the speed. Pages take 10 to 15 times as long to load compared to Chrome and (the new) Edge. I've included the troubleshooting results from the help menu. I've been experiencing a slowdown for several months, but it's gotten so severe I find myself using Firefox less and less. I've used Firefox forever and don;t wish to give up on it, but the slow response it really becoming a problem. I hope you can help

Looking in browser history for a time stamped entry showing success in applying for a $6,000 rebate from Duke Energy to demonstrate I did complete the process at 9:11 AM, not 11:00 AM -- so this is important. Found it and needed to copy the line with the time stamp without the whole browser history. Was able to just copy the site with "success=true", but no time/date. Tried drag and drop, but that just deleted the entry entirely. Is there any way to recover it?
