Recently, Firefox has been slow and crashes regularly. I try to sync tabs but after it crashes and I reopen it goes back to a much older save and lose tabs I've recently opened or sometime after a crash and reopen it tries to open a window with no tabs and I lose all my tabs

Just recently when logged onto Hotcopper.com.au have been getting a message that reads "This page is slowing Firefox down. To speed up this browser, stop this page." There is a STOP button, that helps for a moment or two only. When I open the program with MS Edge, the problem does nor occur. I was going to remove the Firefox App but saw the repair option. Repairing did not stop the problem. Any suggestions? John I have a near new Acer laptop running Win 11.

Would appreciate your help in advising how I can re-instate my Protonmail login as it just doesn't seem to want to let me access the site at all - it just tries to access and then keeps coming up with 'oops something went wrong'. It's like there is a block on letting me access? This has only just happened since doing firefox updates.

I've been using what I gather is an "older" profiles system via about:profiles.

Now if I:

1. go to about:profiles and open my second profile in another window, 2. close second window and about:profiles page, 3. open about:profiles again in first window,

I get "Another copy of Firefox has made changes to profiles. You must restart Firefox before making more changes."

This happens every single time, even though I've made zero changes to profiles, and is extremely annoying.

Can/should I migrate my profiles to the new profile manager? How to do this?

With last updates on firefox desktop..(2 last updates)..every update reset all my websites logins..I had to relogin again in all my websites..what happened?..is normal?..or error?

The weather widget on the homepage sponsored by accuweather is missing a lot of major cities that were available before October 2025. They are available in accuweather, but for some reason my widget defaulted to singapore, and I can't manually select cities like chattogram / dhaka or even new york even though the are available in accuweather.

I don't have that translate icon in the address bar, never did, not on a single page. Can i get that somehow? And, when attempting to access the firefox translation settings through;

about:translations

I receive the following error message;

"Your device does not meet the minimum requirements to use this feature. Try on another device" Please check the screenshot i uploaded as well.

Even though i do see several language & translation settings in the regular preferences menu, and even though i see a page full of settings containing the string "transla", Firefox inline website translations are only accessible through the context menus using a right mouse-click. There, i can select a source and target language and all the options seem to be there and functioning well. I just don't have anything related to translation in the address bar, the regular alt-key menus, or the hamburger menu. Also not when customising the buttons etc.

I also have to say that the quality of the translations is nowhere near that of the ones on the Google Translate page, which surprises me somewhat, since it should have access to the same bucket of linguistic data as the website (i assume it works through an API), or am i incorrect in my assumptions ?

F.Y.I. My device is a PC running Devuan (Linux) with FF v140.8, my gpu is outdated so GL (hardware rendering) hasn't worked in a while, i'm using that shoddy Nouveau driver, but that hasn't caused any problems, i bought a 2nd hand supported GPU about 2 years ago, but i just can't be bothered to install it...eheh).

My business is Ardash Nasha Mukti Kendra, and the website is https://www.ardasnashamuktikendra.com/ . The issue I am facing is that the contact number on my website is not showing properly in Firefox, while it works fine on Chrome and other browsers.

I have already tried clearing cache, disabling add-ons, and testing in private mode, but the problem still exists. Can someone please help me fix this compatibility issue so the number displays correctly in Firefox?

Bank website keeps telling me I need to update my browser. I did update and am currently running 115.30.0esr. What is causing the website to not recognize the update?

I recently bough a new computer and transferred all my data, passwords and bookmarks to it. Each time I opened my mozilla browser I was encouraged to create a profile , but each time I just continued without creating a profile. Finally today I was not given an option to proceed without creating a profile so I did. But now all my passwords and bookmarks have disappeared. When I try to find them I am advised to load my previous profile but this is not an option the only profile I have is the one I just created with the missing data. Can you please tell me where the appropiate files are stored and how can I recover them. Thanks
