Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

I am getting messages that I am blocking ads for many of my internet requests. I had never received these before but all of a sudden I started to get them. I have tried a number of things but nothing works.

I am running Windows 11 and do not have any Ad blockers.

I am setting up a site on Linux server using Apache as reverse proxy , with ASP.NET as application server . since installing SSL , I had few mixed content blocking that i was managed to fix using CSP directive in Apache configuration file. site has no issue with all browser except Firefox. the only issue is that in admin section , to configure a option. system will load a js file that simply a dropdown with list of options to choose from . when using Firefox , it tries to redirect that page to login page . for test , i clicked on the link i located in Developer tools , which directed me to login page , entered my credentials, and scripts loads showing the drop down box and ok button. is been 3 weeks i been looking for every solution and i have done everything .. but nothing have worked. now I am resort to having to use other browsers if i need to use that functionality in admin page. In page header file name : login , location : http://MYDOMAIN.ca/login?ReturnUrl=%2FAdmin%2FDiscountRulesCustomerRoles%2FConfigure%3FdiscountId%3D6%26_%3D1702682353293 , which are not correct . and browser such as Brave and Safari dose not show different path and file name and everything is correct. dose anyone know how to fix this .. ? i saw a solution mentioned as stated resting Firefox ,but can not find a way to reset , but i have reinstalled Firefox and constantly having this issue on this single section of the page . I pin a bunch of pages to the home page for easy access, as it allows. But for a few days, i am unable to see the "+" symbol which lets you add pages to the rows, even when there is space in the rows.

When I updated my Firefox app, I was asked for an email address, which I supplied. This address was rejected. I used another email address, but one which I seldom used in firefox, and it was accepted. Now I see that I have two accounts, one under each address, and all my bookmarks and passwords seem to be associated with the rejected email address. There seems to be no clear way to move access them in the new installation,

I recently wiped my entire PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows 11 Pro on it. Ever since, I've been unable to get FireFox back. I've tried installing using the installer from website and using winget but both return with errors.

I'm able to install other applications, was able to install discord with no issues. With FireFox, installer opens and stay for a while before eventually saying that it was unable to install FireFox.

This is a completely fresh install of Windows. Used both media creation tool and cloud download using Reset this PC.

Firefox so far my favorite browser, but I'm seriously considering going somewhere else as EVERY time there is an update, I loose all the login information (user/password) in every website I deal with.

Is there any workaround as the updates are more often all the time?

Is it so difficult for the developers of Firefox to update it without removing the login information of the several websites we login to?

How do I set the display screen to show just ONE page width without having to scroll right or left to see the entire text line. I want to have the text wrap to the next line when it reaches the displayed window width.

In my browsing video sites (for example, bilibili.com) there will be frequent lag. The same network conditions in Firefox just can't load or load slowly. There are only a few plug-ins. I don't know why the more updated it is, the more stuck it becomes. Or you could come out with a lite version. I don't need too many complicated features. Thank you.

I returned to Firefox again years ago, having stopped using the splendid browser. But due to fashion or following trends, I migrated to a browser from another company. I've returned to my beloved Firefox, which has brought me so much joy. However top me with a terrible unknown.

The browser I stopped using. It has an attractive simple, and useful home screen for selecting accounts for the user, which multiple accounts.

I haven't found any similarity in my dear Firefox.

Do you have a feasible solution, since searching the internet, the community is clamoring for it.

The A4 print preview (and the printout itself) from the PDF file is shrunken. I've tried printing from Edge and everything works normally there, so it's a Firefox problem. How do I fix it?
