When viewing pdf files created from MS Word (.docx) documents and sent to me I see white lines across some images but not all. This happens with Firefox on Windows 11 and linux mint (various versions). It is present on the images from the file as received and after uploading to a website. The images are OK if viewed using Opera or other browsers but the same problem is present on Thunderbird. Hi, I’m having a problem with Firefox and I’m not sure how to fix it. I have tried restarting the browser, but the problem is still happening. Could you please help me understand what is causing the issue and what steps I should follow to fix it? Thank you

I haven't been able to use my bookmarks now for a few weeks and you keep updating but nothing gets resolve. Years ago MOZILLA was great with not issues but lately is always a problem and sometimes is even blocked. Was going on there?

Prior to a recent browser update, my Firefox New Tab page was completely clean, minimalist, and beautifully displayed the custom background image I had chosen.

However, after the latest update, a large Firefox logo and wordmark have been forced onto the center-top of the New Tab page, completely cluttering the background image. There is no standard toggle or switch anywhere in the "Personalize" or Home settings menu to turn this logo off.

I have already tried the advanced about:config workaround by setting browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.logowordmark.alwaysVisible to False, but the logo remains visible anyway. Even ensuring that "Web Search" is toggled on/off does not resolve the issue.

Please provide a built-in settings option to hide this branding watermark, or a working configuration flag so users can enjoy a clean, unobstructed view of their chosen wallpapers.

there's a keybind that defaults to alt that opens some menu in at the top of the screen that I don't want I looked in the keyboard shortcuts settings but it was not there

Up until recently (apologies, I do not know which version) when editing userContent.css on Debian 12 in the ' Developer Tools ' I could just use CTRL+S to save my changes and all was well.

Now it appears to have forgotten where it loaded in the first place, because (when using the shortcut or the 'save' link under the name on the left) it just opens the user's home folder at its root level or ' ~/ ' ...

Is this a bug that I should raise at bugzilla? Or has another bug fix messed this functionality up somewhat?

This is the ' mozilla-deb ' / ' Mozilla Firefox Debian Package ' currently at version 154.0 which is usually updated weekly.

Using last Windows 10 install, and 153 esr.

Manually entering an address in the address bar sends it to search.

The advice from 2020 found with a search online, and in Mozilla Firefox support, does not solve the problem.

Not only is it a time-wasting obstruction for a new page to open and put the address at the top, it is a problem that the address bar can not be used as intended for manually entered addresses.

I'm guessing the problem is also responsible for the problem of clicking on a link in a program not opening it in firefox in Firefox. I have two programs setup, correctly, to open Firefox or go to the open browser when I click a link. I get a return in both cases that the browser may not be installed correctly.

I installed the browser as usual. Currently: 153.2.0esr I had 153.1 installed, however there was an unrelated (presumably) Microsoft problem and I had to restore. 153.1.0esr disappeared from my computer and online. So I downloaded 153.2.0est. However, both of these problems have manifested since updating to 153:

• Address bar does not function properly when adding a manual address.
• Clicking on a link in a program no longer opens the link in Firefox

I downloaded the full install program, as usual, and installed on top of the current install so my established profile is used. There are no major changes - except when features have become dysfunctional.

Searches online and at Mozilla support make clear these are current Mozilla Firefox issues. I can find no mention of either problem in Mozilla support.

Is there a solution to either or both of these problems in 2026?

p.s. I have no intention of upgrading to Windows 11. I also have updates disabled, however that did not stop microsoft from surreptitiously installing Snapshots and a personal A.I. app (evidence of which is in the registry which I deleted). The computer was lagging and glitching and running the disc almost constantly. So I went looking for what Microsoft had done - again - without my knowledge or opportunity to consent (or not) and found the culprits. I also found entries in Explorer directory for both features and deleted them.
