On iGPU hardware, default dedicated VRAM is usually 0.5GB and the maximum is 2GB.

On my laptop Firefox only use 0.48GB(dedicated VRAM)/0.2GB(shared VRAM) when I set VRAM to auto(512MB) in BIOS.

The screenshot is when I set dedicated VRAM to 2GB in BIOS, and you can see the VRAM usage has increased to 1GB(dedicated)/0.5GB(shared).

It seems Firefox is restrict itself to dedicated VRAM and not fully utilize the vast amount of shared GPU memory. This makes sense on dGPU hardware but not on iGPU hardware. On iGPU hardware, the negligible amount of dedicated GPU memory exists only for compatibility to legacy programs, and Firefox should allocate all it's GPU memory from the shared GPU memory pool.

I don't know why Firefox made my homepage so messy, with so many junk suggestions. It used to be a lot of thoughtful / interesting stuff about science / nature / health / politics / philosophy think-pieces and now it is all just "(unkown celebrity name) clashes with (council) over (something I don't care about)" or "(american president) shocks defense community with late night Truth Social Screed (BROUGHT TO YOU BY TABLOID PAYWALL)." Everything is suddenly UK only, and it is all from the Metro, the Mirror, the Independent or Sky News. I never, ever read any of that. I am sometimes in the UK, but not now. And my VPN is never set there.

I don't want to block whole themes - Health? I might be interested in some of that, but I don't need ten stories from the UK health sector gumming up my feed every day. Food? I used to occasionally get good recipes on the home page, but now it's a whole section of choco-banoffie protein smoothies and fried chicken, which I would never, ever click on or prepare. Money? All of these things have potentially interesting options, so I don't want to block them, but I'm definitely not interested in getting loads more of any of it.

Is there any way to go back to region neutral 'this is interesting' stuff? I find the current home page to be really unpleasant.

the menu when i right-click is completely transparent. it only becomes opaque again when i turn on troubleshooting mode. it doesn't go back to normal outside of trouble-shooting mode.

I am using Windows 11 Pro on a new desktop computer. When I launch Firefox 2 Windows open, 1 with New Tab and 1 with previous session Tabs. The previous sessions only works if I close Firefox via the dropdown menu or the he file menu. If I use then 'x' to close as I normally would I only get the 1 window with a single New Tab on next launch. I have toggle the open last session Tab, but it does not solve the issue. My summary says it all. Please explain how to use about:config to stop websites from adding favicons to Firefox browser and how to delete the favicons that are there now.

Previously, each time I logged into Firefox, all my various streaming services and other apps remained logged in. Now, every time Firefox goes to sleep or is re-booted, I have to log back into all the streaming services, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, SideReel, etc. Sometimes this happens several times per day.

Not sure if it's a feature or a bug, but I noticed that if I 'save and close' a tab group containing an 'empty' tab, i.e. the about:newtab page, the tab does not get restored when the group is opened again. Before I was using tab groups, I often used these empty tabs as a crude method of separating bunches of tabs from each other. I have some large tab groups, open on the tab bar, that still contain these, as I have never closed them since they were created. (They're just collapsed.) I was planning on closing them sometime, after I'd next reviewed their contents, but now I'm not too keen on that! So, just wondering, is this empty tab deletion a bug or a feature? If the latter, what's the rationale?

In past 2 days I've experienced Firefox randomly closing all open firefox windows and then bringing them back after a brief delay. There is no mention of an update or other reason while this would occur.

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, my Firefox account was still signed in on my old mobile phone, which is now being used by my father. He accidentally deleted all of my bookmarks, and I have completely lost access to them. To make matters worse, I do not have any offline backup of my bookmarks.

I was wondering if there is any way for your team to restore the bookmarks associated with my account to a state from before December 31.

Bonsoir, Je suis sous Windows 10 depuis son existence, toujours avec Microsoft Defender et mise à jour automatique de Firefox. Mais depuis quelques temps, le fond d'écran du site de ma banque société générale est mauve ??? Et je ne peux entrer aucune information. En appuyant sur la touche Echap, le fond d'écran redevient blanc, le site se débloque mais devient mauve et bloquant à chaque changement de page. Cela ne m'était jamais arrivé et je ne sais pas comment résoudre ce problème. J'ai contacté ma banque me disant n'y être pour rien et me conseillant d'utiliser un autre navigateur. J'ai essayé Chrome et Edge pour voir et effectivement RAS. Et cela n'arrive que sur ce site, vraiment étrange. Merci pour vos conseils Pascaline

I have the latest version 151.0.2 (64-bit), always update. It's terribly buggy now out of nowhere. Tabs won't connect to the internet after laptop wakes from sleep. All other browsers still do. If I close FF and reopen I lose ALL my tabs even though for decades I've had it set to reopen all tabs. What's up?

Hello, In my prior versions of the Firefox browser for Windows 10, I saved and used 1 row of shortcuts right under the search field of the browser. When I updated to v151, the same saved shortcuts keep overwriting with recently viewed pages, just like the history list. Is there a way to stop the browser from overwriting my saved shortcuts row? Presently, I have to manually delete every single overwritten shortcut to maintain a clean list of saved shortcuts after having browsed to other websites; this cleanup process is getting old! FYI, I do used the bookmark toolbar also, but there just a few saved shortcuts that I like to have and frequently use in the single row of shortcuts. Please advise how to save my succinct row of desired shortcuts if that's now possible to do. Thank you.

I got logged out of my Firefox account and upon logging in a bunch of dummy "sync" data replaced all of my bookmarks, settings, ect. Is there any way to undo this?

Dear Mozilla // Firefox persons - you really know how to shoot yourself in the foot.... I am fed up having lost all bookmarks and not able to initiate anew despite intolerable checks for updates, restarts & reinstalls. Really pissed me off. Your "help" pages are grossly overpopulated with waffle and dead end links.

We can not delete bookmarks after trying everything I know. Re: restarted in troubleshoot, cleared the history and cookies etc. Do we have to uninstall and then reinstall to fix it? If not, how do we fix it?

recent firefox update can no longer copy and paste when creating a blog post in Squarespace, I have been using squarespace for around 15 years for my websites and I have never seen this issue, Firefox 15.1 installed and all of a sudden when trying to create a blog post in Squarespace, when I right click a text box pop up and it no longer says paste so I can no longer copy and paste text - this is more than a little annoying, you will not be surprised to know that I am now using Chrome to create my posts, there is no issue in chrome. I am a firefox geek! how can i solve this problem, I just did another update from Firefox, the issue remains I have been using computers for 40 year so I am not a novice but software glitches, I am lost
