Hi,

Weird issue I discovered today is that for whatever reason the LastPass addon in Mozilla Firefox keeps disappearing upon reopening the app and among different computers. So I had it all setup on my MacBook Pro previously working fine but now I found logging into my iMac for LastPass to be missing altogether from my Extensions. I re-installed it. Having had to sign in all over again etc and now when I go to another computer (again logged in with my Firefox account) then the Extension is not there!!!! So damn annoying. What's going on here? Thanks!

I've been extensively relying on the `Ctrl+Alt+X` shortcut to spin up the selected chatbot in the sidebar, but ever since I reset my pc (complete reset, cloud download of windows, clear all apps and files) and re-installed firefox, the keyboard shortcut isn't working for me anymore.

I installed firefox with chocolatey, upon noticing that the shortcut had stopped working, I tried to downgrade to v145, which didn't help either. So an uninstall and re-install later (this time manually downloading the installer exe), `Ctrl+Alt+X` still doesn't work. Although hovering over the chatbot's icon in the sidebar shows the shortcut in the tooltip.

More info: `choco uninstall firefox` created a backup of "Old Firefox Data" or something similar, could that have somehow persisted the malfunction across installs?

Any help would be appreciated! System: Windows 10 Pro Firefox: 146

After a few days of having no internet connection, my account was disconnected from my PC and saved passwords disappeared. After signing in to my account again and syncing, lost passwords were not recovered. I need help to recover them.

I'm sick of AI infecting everything. I JUST started moving to firefox to escape the shoving down my throat of AI and ADs that plagues everything. And now to hear that the new CEO wants to shove down even more AI? That's infuriating. No one really wants this, the people that do have something to gain, ulterior motives or don't understand just how bad it is. Not to mention the data scraping that I don't consent to.

I've seen that this browser has potential, that has a relative ease of access for people to get the experience they want. But this AI shoving is ruining that, and it's driving users away. I do not like having to jump through hoops to avoid AI but I will. It's slowing down the browser and causing even more lack of privacy! We already have so little in this modern area, it's terrible to do more.

The sad part is, is that I know there are people that run the browser that don't want this. It's the people up top who put their money into AI, thinking it's the next big thing, and are trying to make it that so their money doesn't just get yanked away. When it will anyway. AI, generative specifically, is awful. I hate the AI overviews, I hate AI 'support' in everything. In social media, in online shopping, in just damn chats. I refuse to use it. It's horrible, it's nothing but bloatware.

So I hope that this new guy will actually listen to the people that use the browser and stop it with his stupid AI stuff. There is NO room for AI browsers, there never will be room for them. And I will NEVER trust an AI browser or whatever stuff an AI pulls up, because they will pull up nonsense. They will pull up what you WANT to hear, not the actual facts. Do better, this is a disappointment.

I uninstalled Firefox on my computer and reinstalled it, but when I logged in, the account couldn’t sync, it was as if the sync couldn’t retrieve any data from the server. Nothing happened at all.

On my Android phone, the data is still there, but when I tap “Synchronize now,” nothing happens either. I’ve tried signing out and signing back in multiple times, but still nothing works.

I also tried switching to a different computer and a different internet connection, but it still didn’t work.

What should I do now?

yesterday i had all my stuff like every other day, and for some reason i randomly got logged out of alot of my accounts. Now i woke up this morning and the entire browser was reset. no bookmark shortcuts, no tab collections, all account locked out for no reason, what's going on?

I don't have any backup for this, and i didn't think i'd need it, because i'd never delete all ym data for no reason.

Is there even a way to get it back?

Whenever I type in "photo", Firefox has always autocompleted to photos.google.com. Today it's started autocompleting to photoquotes.com instead; a site I never use, and I don't know why Firefox is suggesting it.

I have followed SEVERAL guides for how to remove sites from autocomplete suggestions, and all of them give wrong advice.

I have gone to History/Manage History and 'Forget about this site'. That does not remove the site from autocomplete.

I have tried 'Hover over the entry to select it, then click delete'. This does not work. It only deletes the last character entered in the address bar.

I have tried 'Select the three-dot menu beside the suggestion and select Remove from history'. That is Not Possible with the top result in autocomplete, which appears above Firefox suggestions.

Could someone please tell me the CORRECT answer on how to remove specific websites from being suggested in autocomplete!?

Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. How do I remove the pop up blocker on Firefox for certain websites? I am doing an online course and each introduction for each chapter has a short video that pops up but as soon as that happens Firefox sends a "Critical error" message then the video stops so I thinks that's happening because pop up blocker is turned on and I just dont know how to turn pop up blocker off for specific websites only like this one I am using for my study course. How can I turn the pop up blocker just for this one website so that this doesn't keep happening?

Hello everybody, i hope you are having a great day!. I have a problem with Youtube about the frames drops, in 1080p60fps i have drops but in 1080p normal don't. For system operative i'm using Fedora 43. And the Firefox version is the 145.0.1 64 bits. My specs are low: Intel i5 6200u with his integrated graphics (Intel HD 520) Already installed the extension h264ify, and i think i have all the correct drivers and codecs from the rpmfusion (ffmpeg, mesa freeworld) If u need more detail and information i can give it to you. have you gone mad??? why would you want to add ai bullshit to firefox? the only reason people use firefox is because you aren't doing all that bullshit, and stealing all our data
