FF updated without warning this AM and now my bookmarks have gone. History is still there. Any solution. ? I have been getting more and more disappointed with some of these "upgrades" and have dropped it off my Android devices because of the stupid interface. Looks like I might have to drop it off my Win machines. Thanks Greg

I had many bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar. Today 20Jun, they were truncated to just a few and all the rest are gone. How do I get all my bookmarks back. What a mess. I hate these upgrades, just made a big mess for me. I don't know how I will get some of these sites back. Please help. I am not a computer expert.

Get me back my bookmarks. I put off updating Firefox because updates are always risky. One reason: your idea of an improvement isn't always mine. For instance: I finally allowed the most recent update and I couldn't access my bookmarks from the Library. My solution: the upgrade caused a problem, undo the "upgrade". Wrong, now my bookmarks are gone entirely. TH

I retired from my workplace and was previously syncing my settings to my workplace email lkendall@keeferealestate.com. When I got my computer back I had a new user profile and when my I.T. guy and myself signed in (forgot my Firefox pwd) so we reset my pwd and then changed my email to my personal email address lkendall@genevaonline.com. Unfortunately after the browser finished syncing none of my saved sites, pwd, bookmarks, etc., came back....help!

Bookmark menu used to be compact and therefore easier to see more bookmarks, much better than Edge. After the last Firefox update it is more spaced out and therefore more hassle to use.

I have a new iMac. After making Firefox my default browser and then making some Bookmarks. When shutting down the computer and rebooting. The Firefox Browser will open at Login as I have set it too. But it opens to the "Welcome to Firefox " page again and doesn't recognize the Bookmarks that were saved earlier. I have used the Firefox Browser on other Apple Laptops, but now with this iMac, the process starts over and over.... HELP

Hi, My Bookmarks Toolbar keeps multiplying if I move it. I now have about 10 toolbars the same. But if I try to delete one it deletes from the main one also. It's like they are all ghost copies.

So what can I do?

I don’t know what I did but now my 51 bookmarks open SLOWLY all at once when I open Firefox. I just want to go back to opening Firefox and have my bookmarks side appear so that I am in control of what I open and when. Thanks cyber folks!

My bookmarks are all sorts of messed up. My laptop bookmarks are fine, my desktop all of a sudden disappeared. i've gone through all of resources mozilla provides and nothing is helping. I just want my old bookmark settings back. I'm pretty upset that Mozilla changed anything without my permission and if this doesn't get fixed soon I will be switching to a new browser.

I am having two major problems with bookmarks.

1. I can't add an existing folder to the bookmark toolbar. I can add a bookmark, but not a folder.

2. I have added a couple of empty folders and cannot delete them. I have clicked on "remove folder" in multiple locations and nothing happens.

My PC (running Windows 10) crashed and when I restarted I'd lost all of my bookmarks plus I was prompted to create a new user profile. I'm running Firefox 89.0.1 I've tried following the information to find and restore my bookmarks but when I try this all Firefox prompts me is to import from another browser platform (which I don't use). Any ideas?

Hello - I had to reinstall my PC entirely. I did not back up my Firefox book marks. Is there anyway to retrieve them now that I have reinstalled my PC and reinstalled Firefox?

Due to my system issue my windows was reinstalled and I along with that all the apps on the PC was reinstalled. But, after I logged on back to my Firefox account the bookmarks i made earlier is not there. I'm unable to restore it. please help me restoring it..

Recently FFox completely collapsed on me, no response to clicks anywhere. So I downloaded and reinstalled the program, only to find exactly the same happening.

So I decided on a completely clean install. Before I did that i installed Opera <ptooh> and imported my passwords and bookmarks from FFox.

Haven't as yet found a way of re-importing those items exported, but that's a worry for another day.

First problem is that even when I add Bookmarks using either Ctrl+D or the fancy start to the right of the address bar nothing gets added to Bookmarks.

Recent Bookmarks ?? Nothing

Manage Bookmarks ??? Not a thing.

Next problem is that despite being very active here there and everywhere on the web over the last few days since re-install - I HAVE NO HISTORY !!

Clicking on the three bars top right, and then on History >> Recent History gives me zilch. Nada. Nothing at all.

It took me days to eradicate almost every sign of Edge from this computer, but I'm starting to think that maybe I might like to try it, so please offer me some assistance with my FFox problems.
