The Other Bookmarks folder is located on the far right side of the toolbar instead of being a movable folder. This happened after Firefox crashed and I lost all my preferences (any help with that?) I tried to use the method that jscher2000 recommended when I asked this before but the only thing it did was remove the folder entirely from the toolbar.

Firefox browser 52 is the version on my computer and was bundled with my version of the Linux operating system. I have not been able to upgrade. I was told that I might have to remove the browser and then install a later version, but Firefox, when bundled with certain versions of Linux, will not be completely removed, and then a new version of Firefox is impossible to install. I and others have experienced this in the past, so I need to simply upgrade the browser I have to at least version 57. Please give me instructions that will work. Thank you.

I'm using latest version of Firefox 87.0 (64 bit) on my PC (win 10) and hyperlinks suddenly stopped working a few months ago. I can' t seem to find a solution. Can you please provide guidance on how to resolve this problem. Regards Martin Birch

Looking for a solution/work around to the new FF protocols which REFUSE exceptions, which has cut me off from streaming from LEGITIMATE web sites like https://news.stlpublicradio.org/ and other sites as well.

I have used FireFox since Netscape, but am now using Chrome which works fine.

Security is great, but when the security Trumps the ability to actually USE the web sites, then how is that different than just blocking the "offending" website.

You should ask yourselves why the FF market share is so low.

You guys need to come out of the clouds and smell the digital earth where most of us dwell. I love you all for what you do, but you seem to be blowing it. Please get it together.

Hi, my firefox has been basically closing itself immediatally after I open it. When I restarted my computer, it finally showed me a message. It said that I could either go into safe mode and trouble shoot or refresh my firefox, deleting everything. So, I first went with going into safe mode, and as soon as the firefox safe mode tab opened, it closed itself again! So, I went to refresh because that was the only other option, and even after I refreshed, the firefox browser still closed itself. I scanned my computer for malware or viruses using two seperate malware detection programs, (Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for windows, and I used Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware). I have tried using google, however I am having the same exact problem with google as well! Please, someone help, I need this to log into my live sessions at my cyber school. I wish I could add images but the tab always blinks away after a second, and I'm not fast enough to get a picture of it.

Hello Mozilla community!

yesterday I installed a program which installed adware (I overlooked a little checkbox). It also changed a couple of settings in my standard browser (Firefox) like the search engine etc. It also changed the homepage. I always had the homepage pointing to my YouTube feed. I changed it back to it using the about:preferences#home method. Under "Homepage and new windows" I set the homepage to my custom URL and the home button works perfectly fine. Yet when I open a new window (with ctrl+n, not a new tab!) it also displays my home page (YouTube). It has never done that before and I cannot find anything in the settings to change that. I tried looking in about:config with browser.newtab but didn't find anything that seemed related to my problem. A couple of weeks ago I tried Firefox Nightly and I started it up and the homepage worked fine AND it didn't display it in a new window. It only did this after it synchronized the data with my Firefox account. Now my question is: How can I remove the the Homepage from a new window (and replace it with an empty page or the Firefox Home)? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Kindly Jay

p.s. I attached the Troubleshooting Information and I'm using Linux

We have noticed that since Firefox 87 was released, audio recordings made in the browser are being cut off. After recording for up to 3 minutes, the recorded preview of the file seems to be cut off. A 3 minute recording would yield a 39 second preview, whereas a 1.5 minute recording yielded a 15 second preview. The file it seems is only recording a much smaller segment of audio from what is intended.

Is there a known bug recorded for this problem?

Thanks, Josh Wild

Trying to set a custom domain name for my site name as Graphic Design Eye. In that pop-up window, where you suppose to select either "use 3rd party domain" or "buy a domain", I select 3rd party and click next... And nothing happens. You can click and click, try different computers, nothing works. I can't get to the next step. Looks like the browser wants you to buy a new domain instead.. any suggestions? Thanks in Advance

When I record screencasts, I don't want people to see what extensions I'm using. For one, it's distracting, for second, it's a privacy issue.

In chrome (iron, opera...) I can quickly drag and resize the extensions area so nothing is seen. Fast an easy.

Is there a way to do this in Firefox. I am open to extensions or keyboard shortcuts as well!

(Pinning to overflow menu is not a solution. It takes many clicks and a long time.)

Thank you for any help.

My online banking access used to work perfectly but does not worked any more. In the login process, it simply does not go any further without any error message. The laptop is the same as before. The only thing that has changed are updates to Firefox version 87.0 and Ubuntu version 18.04.5 LTS. On another laptop, the bank access still worked perfectly. I have tried to switch off all restrictions in the Firefox settings and to deactivate all add-ons, unfortunately without success. The bank couldn't solve the problem either, they just said it was probably due to the browser settings. Do you have any ideas? Thank you! Wolfgang
