Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

I am trying to inspect dom to see the content of a dropdown for my selenium test and I am facing the following issue:

1. Click on a drop down select (ex Language) 2. It adds a list of language divs to the dom 3. Open Inspector to see them 4. List of languages is is not visible in the dom as it is collapsed in the inspector by default 5. Click to expand the list in the dom 6. That triggers a "click away" event and code removes the list of languages from the dom 7. Back to point 1 :(

Is there any way to break this dead loop? 1. Expand all nodes in the inspector by default 2. Disable any dom manipulation events

It seems like every week I've somehow muted the audio in a tab. I think this started a few months ago, but I can't remember seeing any sort of an "upgrade" alerting me to this new functionality. How do I get rid of it?? It's driving me nuts. I search google for a solution, and it's horrible AI search just refers me to an ancient thread that does not work.

Btw, I just saw an announcement by Mozilla about modernizing itself. How about getting rid of the crazy About:Config and making it easier for users to make changes?

When I enable a theme, it doesn’t apply properly. Instead, the color that appears is just the default color of the browser. Sometimes the theme applies, but when I open a new browser window, the theme I enabled disappears. Why is this happening? Tysm :)

I cannot log in to Firefox and get the tabs I had when I logged out. I get a brand new page and can log in as I please, starting with tab 1. I've looked at every possible entry under the 3 ... menu, and ever entry under File. I've restarted the computer, etc.

I commonly keep windows I am using as reference for research I'm doing and don't add every item to a bookmark until I've conclude which I should keep. This same event happened a year ago and I'm quitting Firefox after close to 30 year of use unless I can recover, and learn what caused this.

It has opened and closed fine literally hundreds of times, now it's as if erased the past but will reopen fine and start over without having to download Firefox again.

I'd rather recover than start over. Help if you can, please.

When the new Firefox version offered Tab Groups, I was enthusiastic. I have a huge number of open tabs reflecting all aspects of my life. What a disappointment to find now that all those individual tabs are still sitting there on the tab bar, just grouped. I need to COLLAPSE those groups, at least until I hover over or right-click the group icon. What a bother.

Copy, Cut and Paste are not working in Google Sheets or Google Docs using Ctrl-X, Ctrl-C or Ctrl-V. Other control combos do work such as Ctrl-Z, Y and F. These features are working on Chrome with the same files. I disabled extensions and tried the Troubleshoot mode. Neither helped. Using Firefox desktop 138.0.1 on Win-10 Pro.

Somehow the file ended up on my desktop. I think I saw it in a wierd place so I moved it out hoping it would go where it was supposed to go but it ended up on my desktop and now Firefox won't open correctly. Help?

My husband bought a new computer and signed into Firefox with the wrong email but the right password. Needless to say his decades of info disappeared. I have the recovery key from his old computer, am I guaranteed it will recover his old info? He is so sure it will fail he just wants to return the new machine and struggle with the crappy old one.

Hi there, For a couple of weeks my youtube.com and myanimelist.net have both been outdated versions of the sites, such as my youtube showing recommendations i saw weeks ago and my myanimelist showing my shows as unwatched or at an outdated amount of episodes watched. It only changes back to up to date when i refresh.

I have tried clearing my cache and booting in safe mode and these both didn't work. This issue isn't that pressing but getting it fixed would be amazing. I couldn't find anything in the help forums or on google or reddit so Im asking here.

With the progressive rollout of tab groups having ended (I am assuming that because they are available by default in fresh installations), I would expect them to be available when I sync with my Firefox profile. However, when I sign in to the browser to sync all my settings, the option disappears. I am more interested in why the rollout never reached me than being told to enable tab groups in `about:options`. The profile switcher is also not showing up, but I am not sure if that is still in beta.

After Firefox went haywire every time I tried to upload a file or add an attachment to an email, I eventually found a way to "restore default settings". That fixed ONE problem but immediately caused several new ones: The "File Edit History etc" toolbar has disappeared. How do I get it back? The colours and identifying icons in the drop-down tab menu on the right have also disappeared. How do I get them back? Nowhere to recover them in Settings and no answers to the questions from Mozilla.  :-(

I want to edit a PDF with firefox. The PDF has two different address lines. When I put in one address it automatically copies it into the other line. But I the two addresses I have to put in are different. But when I edit one the other does the same. What can I do?
