Keep tab groups open?
I love the new tab groups in vertical tabs . . . but is there a way to keep them open upon quit so I don't have to reopen groups every time I launch FF?

ctrl+w now closes all tabs. Same as alt+F4.

my top bar comes up with dozens of internet pages trying to load when I open any internet page. Have not made any changes to anything. Pita to delete a dozen items trying to load every time I open Firefox. How do I turn that off? Tried looking for way to do that for hours and found nothing.
I want my TABS to be locked so they always remain the same. How do I do that? I don't want new tabs to be added whenever I go to a new site. Win 10 desktop

Losing my mind on this one.
Have 2 Macs I use at home, both running FF 141.0 and Sequoia 15.5.
Use Reader for RSS and Airmail for eMail. Both have settings to allow links clicked in those programs to open browser tabs in background. Handy way of banging through newsletters and RSS feeds before shifting to browser.
One on Mac, that open in battleground setting on both apps works as it has for, oh, last several years. On the other Mac, a few days ago that open in background stopped working with Firefox. It does work properly on Chrome and Safari if I set them as default browser (and, as I mentioned above, on my other Mac).
I've tried resetting Firefox on this Mac using the troubleshooting menu and have also cleared the Firefox cache. I even tried resetting the launch database in that Mac, although the fact Chrome and Safari are working fine suggests the OS isn't the culprit.
I'm unaware of having changed any settings, but am aware that "idiot user" may be the issue.
Regardless of how this happened, any ideas how to sort this annoyance out? Thanks!

When I restart Firefox, or my PC wakes from sleep, my Firefox windows are all in a different order.
Also a number of Firefox windows often just die or don't appear on restarting Firefox.
Is there a way to make sure that the Firefox windows appear in the same order and number as before?
At the moment I have to close Firefox windows and start them manually loading tabs from bookmarks. I would have thought that there must be a better way but I can't find it.
It seems as if Firefox should number the windows and keep a list of tabs open in each window, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
What am I missing? Is there a setting I need to change?
I'm running Windows 11 Pro

I recently updated to Firefox 138.0.1 to use the new tab groups feature, which allows grouping and labeling tabs, as outlined in Mozilla’s support article (expected for all users by May 6, 2025). However, after updating, I don’t see the tab groups option when dragging tabs or right-clicking them. Has anyone else faced this issue? Could it be due to the progressive rollout, a conflicting extension, or a setting I need to enable? I’ve tried restarting Firefox and checking the tab bar, but no luck. Any community solutions or workarounds to enable tab groups would be greatly appreciated! Please share your experiences or fixes.

I'd like to ask about Firefox's behavior and settings. I'm using Firefox with vertical tabs (using an add-on), but it seems to be behaving strangely. The things that have changed since before are: 1. Open from pinned tab 2. Now opens in a new tab → Previously it opened in the same tab 3. Clicking on a newly opened tab opens a new tab again → Previously it would open pinned tabs/same tabs → in a new tab It has changed. I haven't changed any of my Firefox settings. Windows 11 Home 23H2 Firefox version 139.0.4 (64-bit).

How do I DISABLE tab grouping? I find it very aggravating! Did NOT find it in settings.

Hi Was told to ask new question off of this tread. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1314940#question-reply
I have similar issue. Have file that has all the tab history, but can't get Firefox to recognize or use it. The scrounger pulls up everything so the file is good it seems.
Why can't, or how do we get Firefox to use it?
Thank you

I can't re-open a saved tab group. I saved it and closed firefox but when I returned I couldn't find where to access it. I see all of my saved tabs when I right-click on a tab and choose "Add Tab to Group", but when I move the tab to that group it just disappears rather than open the group. Any help would be appreciated! :)

My Firefox browser just updated to version 143.0.1. When the browser reopened, there was an instructional page that opened in a new tab describing the Unload Tab function. I followed the instructions, right-clicked on the tab, the drop down menu appeared, but there wasn't an Unload Tab option. However, there was a Reload Tab option shown.
How do I resolve this? I'm using a macOS 15.6.1.
how do I make the icon for creating a new tab appear to the right of the last open tab?

I have lots (~100) of tabs open, distributed among windows and virtual desktops. Every now and then the laptop fan starts running wildly, and I identify a CPU hogging webpage in about:processes. How can I now switch to the open window/tab of that webpage to close or unload it? I would expect a click (or context menu item) within about:processes to bring me there. Currently I have to scan through all desktops/windows/tabs to find the page.
