When my laptop is connect to a monitor via HDMI cable, the resolution on Firefox switches between what my laptop is at when not plugged in and the current monitor's resolution. It almost looks like Firefox is hiccuping between resolutions. This last for a few seconds and happens frequently within the hour. How can I stop Firefox from being confused about the resolution it's supposed to be at?

In the updated sidebar, the browsing history and "Tabs from other devices" entries no longer support opening links in a new tab by simply clicking the middle mouse button (which should function like Ctrl + left-click). This was possible in the previous version of the browsing history. However, bookmarks in the new sidebar still allow opening links in a new tab using the middle mouse button. Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be a shortcut key for opening links in a split tab (side-by-side view). Currently, I have to drag and drop, which feels cumbersome. I suggest adding this feature to the right-click context menu, introducing a keyboard shortcut (e.g., Ctrl + left-click, or another modifier key), or an option to set allowing the middle mouse button to open links in a split tab. Alternatively, a double-right-click could also work. If this feedback cannot be directly forwarded to the developers, where should I post or submit these suggestions?

I was using my computer normally until I noticed one of my applications had an error. I could not close the error message the normal way, so I decided it would be a good idea to hit the "end task" on the error message, which caused a blue screen error. "No worries," I thought, "I'll be able to get back to where I was right after my computer restarts." Oh, how wrong I was. Upon logging in to my computer, Firefox opened to... the screen I got when i first installed it? As it turns out, the Mozilla folder in my AppData folder was completely erased, along with all its contents. Is there a way to get my data back?

There is a common error documented in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-already-running-not-responding but none of the solutions fix my problem.

I have signed out of my PC and mobile devices Done a complete uninstall of firefox on the Windows 11 machine Searched and removed ALL files on the drive associated with Firefox or Mozilla, including cache and temp Searched and removed ALL Firefox or Mozilla keys in the registry Checkdisk Used update to refresh the windows install Multiple reboots

and a fresh download and install of Firefox. And still get the "already running" error. If I wait long enough - several minutes - I will get the "crash report" screen as the background process finally ends.

Any suggestions?

Firefox is already running old Firefox must be closed. I have tried everything in the help menu. delete parent.lock , restarting etc. nothing is working. I can create new profile but i cant find any toolbar, bookmarks etc please help

I designed a label in Avery, downloaded as a PDF and told my download to always open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. When I try to open the download I'm told that Reader can't pen because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged. How can I change the program that opens my downloads? I'm using latest Firefox on a Windows computer.

i am trying to type this message on firefox, but i have to avoid shift key not to interrupt typing. when i hot shift+some other keys like i, b, v, etc, devtools pop up. i have checked other forums, other q&a on firefox support, and concluded that the same issue have occurred to many users regardless of the os, features, extensions, various keyboards (but not the virtual one for me) or system settings. i have to type a lot in the browser, so i just choose to delete firefox until someday the issue is fixed.
