Why must the update reminder fill the whole screen with a mostly empty pop up? Can't it be done in a neater way than this prehistoric 80's style prompt??

But with all of the 'great' GUI designers behind Firefox, the Update reminder looks like a slap in the face when you are busy working! Its a mostly empty block designed to just annoy, more than inform!
Why cant the update notification be smaller? .. better yet a balloon or a button that appears on the tab? .. endless possibilities.. But nooo .. the big, ugly and empty pop up is too-cool retro to change or update into something better!
What do you think guys? .. time to look into it?

In Firefox, I would create a "copy" that when clicked would go to TropicalGlen.com for music. I could have another copy of Firefox that would, when double-clicked, go to my gmail,com account. I knew this process as "Object Oriented Programming." I'm running both Windows Vista Home and Windows 8.1.

I wiped my desktop to clean install windows 10 yesterday morning. When I got back on the computer my dashlane account manager didn't want to restore my old data so I had to request a new password. So I restored the password synced up on my phone and desktop and things weren't popping up. I have the "Desktop Bookmarks" on my phone with no way of putting them on my desktop. My first priority is backing up the bookmarks on my phone and importing them into firefox. And 2nd, why isn't it appearing on my latest version of firefox on my desktop? The android firefox is also completely updated.

There are some mosaic kind of problems appear randomly while i am browsing the internet. This happens to me for both my mac and windows 7.
Please refer to the attach photo, you can see on the top right corner there's a white block there. It keep flashing randomly, and blocking the image while i'm browsing.
I thought it was my Graphic Card problem at first but I found that this happens to my macbook also.

I am fed up with Windows always changing things. I have been reading about using Linus as an operating system & that Firefox works well with it. However, I want to know what Mozilla thinks of Linux operating system. I used Windows 98 Excell to develop my bookkeeping system and do not want to do all those formulas over again. Need help and thinking of changing to Linus operating system. I know Mozilla is the best and will tell me if I am making a bad decision.
Also, I use mail.com for some of my emails and it keeps telling me my browser (Firefox) is out of date, but I can't find an update. I don't want mail.com as my home page, either.

Maybe this isn't actually a Mozilla problem (it just occurred to me). I selected Gadgets from the right click menu on my desktop (Dell with Windows 7) and selected the Weather gadget. It has worked fine for months, but about six days ago it stopped updating when I turned my modem on. Gradually it showed fewer and fewer predictions (normally it would show current day and three days ahead). Now it just displays an information icon and the message Cannot connect to service. I wondered if it was no longer compatible with Mozilla Firefox or maybe they are unrelated. Thank you!

I'm running Firefox 39.0.3 Mozilla Firefox for Ubiuntu canonical - 1.0 on Xubuntu 14.04.
All the support suggestions are for Windows or Macs (no surprise there), but, there doesn't appear to be any talk about this being in the browser. I did check my Add-Ons and didn't see anything there (I have not tried going to about:config as I'm not sure what to look for).
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to hos to remove this?

Firefox recently auto-upgraded from 39.0.3 to 40.0.2 on two of my Win7 machines. After the upgrade neither machine could load a radio station's Flash stream. Reinstalling 39.0.3 returns the streaming to normal.
The Flash stream is called from the radio station's home page using this URL: http://player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?callsign=KTWSFM The home page is: www.thetwins.com
The call opens a new FF window and the stream starts to load but stalls on a gray screen. There are no error messages.
I tried updating both the Shockwave Flash and Adobe Flash play plug-ins to the latest version but this did not fix the stream problem.
FWIW I have not tested with other Flash web content.
It would be great if this could be fixed.
