Proposed solution:
Reduce to absolute minimum the spawn child processess. The value should be set according to the device performance and additionally show allow the user to set manually the limits.
Example: 1 (maximal 3) child process per tab/window

I'm running both versions of firefox on my mac by renaming the .app for nightly. However, when I click on a link on an application, it seems to default to my nightly version instead of release.
For both versions, the "default browser" setting is enabled. One thing I tried was letting chrome take the default again, and setting it from the release version after. Both versions then showed it checked again. I cannot uncheck it from the beta version.
It seems they might be reporting to the OS as the same app for this purpose.
Another thing I tried was changing the app name in it's Info.plist. Now, I see a new name in the menu bar and it shows as a distinct browser in the OS' "default browser" settings. However, it doesn't seem to solve my issue. All links still open in the Beta, even if the only one currently open is Release.
Is there a way to have it default to the normal version of firefox?

It used to work. So I wonder why nothing happens when I click the button now... There is no network call made when I click the button. No error.

Recently my home page is blank. Each new tab opens as blank, bookmark icons are missing. I used to have a search engine when i opened Mozilla but now it's totally blank. I need to click on the bookmarks icon to open the list of bookmarks saved instead of seeing them on the toolbar. I didn't change anything and now it's all gone. I am using Firefox Developer Edition 127 b07, and that happens also in safe mode.
It used to work not too long ago with FF, and it works with Chrome latest.

I can use Google chrome and Wonderfox which don't suffer this issue. I fail to understand why Firefox is alone in this problem. I would switch to Wonderfox as a default but it only works on SSL sites. Please stop ignoring this issue and fix it. Running Windows 11 fully updated on an AMD cpu.

This is a recent hiccup and only seems to affect Firefox 126.0.1 & 127.0 (I'm running Win64 EME-free):
I have a HTML file which displays images from various weather-cam websites, using the HTML "img src=" tag.
On previous versions of Firefox all was fine, however since 126.0.1 one image in particular will not display - it simply shows a broken image place-holder. Using MS Edge and Chrome, it displays correctly.

I suspect it's something to do with the "auth=" 'key'?

I just clicked on my Firefox to open it and was met with a new update tab, and all my tabs had disappeared, which I have had happen to me in the past and ended up losing everything after closing Firefox and reopening it again.
So with that in mind I went to History and everything was greyed out, and so had no option but to close my browser, thinking that maybe that it had opened that one to tell me about the update and if I reopened it all my tabs would be there. Is there anyway I can retrieve all my tabs?.

Good Morning. I have been using Firefox for 20+ years. Last night it did an update overnight, and this morning I am getting "The Page Isn't Redirecting Properly" error message on my business CRM site. This appears to be the only site having an issue. I have never had this error previously.
I tried all suggestions already including clearing cache/cookies, checking settings, delete history, troubleshoot mode and nothing. The site opens fine on Chrome and MS Edge.
Any additional help is appreciated, this is very frustrating.

The problem persists even in troubleshooting mode, after cache clearing, hardware acceleration turned off, enabled DRM and widevine, driver updates, in private mode or not, logged in or not, firefox restarts, computer restarts.
But Youtube plays fine in Chrome and Edge.
I dont think I didnt anything drastically different, or updated win10 or firefox, or messed with anything. It was working fine a day ago.
Is there any way to reset something?
