There is a section called "Recent bookmarks", which appears after clicking on the 'Bookmarks' button in the browser sidebar. My problem with it is that it appears automatically, and it cannot be hidden, removed, or minimized; and shows all the recent bookmarks saved or imported to firefox. I feel very uncomfortable using the browser with such a feature. I would tell you that I switched to Firefox from Apple's Safari browser; and one of the reasons for such move was this same problem in that browser. I'm using the latest version of firefox browser v 152.0.5 (64-bit), on macbook pro m4 running latest macOS. Please help if you can how to either hide or remove the "Recent bookmarks" or please consider adding the capability for the user to do so, in the next browser update.

I keep a lot of bookmarks, organized into folders. Many of those folders are in my bookmarks toolbar. And many of subfolders. When I click a folder (and subfolder), bookmarks present themselves from top to bottom in order of when they were added. But I'd like to see them in order of when they were last added! ...so the most recently added bookmark is the first option I see. Is there a way to achieve? Thanks in advance!

I would like to understand why Firefox places newly added bookmarks at the bottom of the selected bookmark folder instead of at the top.

In most cases, users want quick access to the bookmarks they have just saved. When a folder contains many bookmarks, having new entries appended to the bottom makes them harder to find and requires additional scrolling.

Is this behavior intentional? If so, what is the reasoning behind it? Has Mozilla considered adding an option that allows users to choose whether new bookmarks are inserted at the top or bottom of a folder?

I believe placing new bookmarks at the top, or providing a configurable option, would improve usability for many users.

New install of Zorin OS 18 and new install of Firefox 152 resulted in not displaying bookmark tool bar with the imported bookmarks. Tried adding a new bookmark which displayed after the import bookmarks icon but none of the old ones. Tried to import from HTML that reported done, I closed and reopened Firefox and the same toolbar display. Is this something with Zorin or Firefox?

Firefox has been my default browser for many years. Every update has made the program less user friendly. I can no longer ready access shortcuts and the number of tiles has been greatly reduced. Previously I had a row of shortcuts on the bookmark toolbar. They no longer show up. Sadly Google does everything I appreciated Firefox for. So Chrome is now my default browser. I have no idea why Mozilla decided to change their once great browser into a total loser.

My BOA bookmark on my Firefox browser changed appearance. My BOA bookmark is one I downloaded only once I was in my BOA account and felt very certain of its authenticity. This is disturbing and frightening. I rely on that bookmark to access my finances. Did Firefox do this? I just contacted BOA and they said they did not do this. They said you most likely did this. Why would you do this? This makes me feel I would be logging into a scam site if I click on it. Why would you change the appearance of a crucial to ME site like this?

On my old computer, I used the toolbar to take me to my main programmes like Ebay, Facebook, my log-in page for my bank etc. Now there is no room because it is filled up with bookmark folders.
