I can no longer use Firefox to access my banks website. I am told they have broken ties with Firefox. In the past, at times that website would exhibit odd behavior, sometimes attributed to the use of Firefox.

Firefox seems to have issues with various sites, particularly for me in the way of display irregularities.

I'm curious as to why.

I asked friendly & helpful volunteer @jscher2000 a couple of days ago about the Strange Case of the Disappearing Bookmarks that suddenly befell me in FF last week.

Last night, the Bookmarks came back - or came back in part, so to speak. ~ ~ There are outstanding problems. I hope these too resolve themselves or can be resolved in the near future, as it is a bit debilitating.

So, what are my current issues/problems with Bkmrks in FF?

1) Can't search my Bookmarks any more.

I enter a search term in the Bkmrks Search box (whether all Bookmarks or a defined subsection/folder I have made) - never a response but blank (though I know that term is among bookmarks somewhere) - and then, the content list of that sub-folder of my Bookmarks even goes blank when I search there. (That content list returns when I click on another folder and back to that one, but that's not much consolation.)

2) Problem adding any new Bookmarks.

Though the "Bookmarks Star" lights up when I try to add a new Bkmrk - suggesting it has been saved - the new saves are nowhere visible among "Bookmarks". Not under the folder I chose to save them to (or tried), nor anywhere else I can see under Bookmarks, such as in the general folder.

3) Can't even Export Bookmarks any more - as html or in any other format.

I go to Manage Bookmarks, etc., and click "Export as html" ,,, nothing happens. There is no trace of an exported html or other file at the location where I decided to save the file.

(To explain what may be obvious: the point of the (attempted) Exportation on this occasion is to (try to) investigate, access the saved Bookmarks, retrieve the sites, etc.)

Can anyone help - or maybe offer solace that FF might fix itself or be fixed in the near future? Like I said, it's a bit debilitating for work, research and entertainment alike.

I should perhaps add that I prefer to use a laptop (HP) where possible.

I've noticed that Youtube videos on Firefox are far more washed out when compared to Google Chrome. HDR is enabled on my Monitor and in Windows 11; however, the issue is present for standard SDR videos as well. Any idea what is going on here?

Over the years I have saved many bookmarks across several different devices. Therefore the bookmarks vary between devices. Is there any way that I can tidy up my bookmarks, deleting many of them, on my main machine and then have all the other devices Synch to that list only?

I have tried deleting ALL the bookmarks on the "subsidiary" devices and then synched them but that didn't work. I think I'm asking whether one device can be made the "master" for all the others to Synch to that one and none of the others.

I have the following problem and situation: I reinstalled Windows and did not write down the password for the Firefox account, and after logging in I restored the password, but it feels like my account has been re-registered, all saved tabs and passwords do not appear, but at the same time there is only one email that was used for synchronization and logging into the Firefox account. this email you can also contact through it: [email address]

I've lost everything in bookmarks. The toolbar. The general bookmarks. Everything. Could this be because I tried to download Claude on my new mac mini. Help please. We only use firefox. All the time!

Ever since upgrading to Windows 11, my Firefox installation has occasionally been unable to resolve domain names of some websites. Example domains:

• apps.powerapps.com
• static.cdninstagram.com
• google.com

As I was trying to debug this, I discovered that the DNS resolution and connection timings are just over 30 seconds (see the attached image). This is highly unusual.

• The issue does not occur with other web browsers on my computer (i.e., Microsoft Edge).
• The issue has persisted across reboots.
• I have already reinstalled Firefox (and wiped the temp files and appdata profile before installing again).
• The issue does not occur with other devices on my home network.
• DNS over HTTPS has been manually disabled.
• Changing DNS resolvers in my Windows settings does not fix the issue.
• The issue is still present with a fresh, unmodified installation of Firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I love Firefox and do not want to switch to a different browser.

I want to switch from stable version to nightly and I can't see data import for this (now there is edge, etc). Of course i can use edge as a transit point, but still...

I'm receiving this message The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.
