with this new version i lost everything i need to get back to an older version and get all my extentions my bookmarks back all my s desktop items that i had linked to firefox are gone i can no longer get face book or anything back to firefox book marks every thing i had with firefox

Where do I input my recovery Key to get my account back? I recently had to get a new mother board and hard drive on my laptop. In the process, it wiped out my Firefox. I have reinstalled Firefox and have my previous Recovery Key to get my bookmarks passwords but can not locate where to enter the recovery key to do this. All I can seem to find is how to create a recovery key, not where to enter an already existing recovery key. Please help.

I'm not sure what happened. I restarted my laptop and when I tried jumping onto Firefox it didn't have my normal accounts on it they were gone and I had to make a new one which means all of my bookmarks are gone, none of my accounts are logged in I am freaking out! What happened?!?!

Restarted my PC; all of my bookmarks disappeared. NOT acceptable. (Or is this just another "improvement" from Firefox . . . ?)

Where did they go; how do I retrieve them?

Really don't want to wait days until there's a response, as I DO USE MY BOOKMARKS ALL OF THE TIME.

I need to find where all my bookmarks are on my computer so I can restore them. My operating system is Windows 7. Even when I try to restore through import/backup and it says it was successful there are none of my saved bookmarks. Can you help in specific steps how I can get these back? From what I read there should be a Firefox file on my computer where these are all saved. Thanks!!

My bookmarks have been deleted after firefox automatical update on 15/3/2026. Does anybody know how to recover them? I have tried to import and back up but I couldn't see a solution . thanks

Over the last 5 or 6 months, Firefox seems to have lost the capacity to remember my open tabs if my Mac is forced to restart. These open tabs are vital to my workflow. If this can't be solved, I shall have to migrate to another browser, which is something I do not wish to do.

My Firefox version is 147.0.4; my computer a Mac Studio 2025 M3 Ultra; my OS Tahoe 26.3.

My wife's old Windows 10 HP laptop quit working last week do to some Operating System failure while it was trying to do an update. It finally did a reboot and now it is useless, at least as it is! It will NOT complete the boot process after trying all of the options offered. All that I am able to is exit out of Windows to a "DOS prompt." I am able to get to the Mozilla Firefox folder and others contain within. The new Windows 11 laptop I bought her is working fine with a fresh Firefox browser installed about a week ago. What she wants is her web links, settings and saved passwords "copied" from the old laptop and installed on the new one! We have no idea how many there are to retrieve! I'm hoping that there might only be one folder that I can copy via "command line" prompt to a USB drive and move the file(s) to the new laptop the same way. Can anyone tell me what I need to know? Installed to new system because old system was updated to Win11 and it failed. Old system is only partially operable. Trying to copy (export and import html files) of the bookmarks to the new system, but even though the import seems to have worked, I cannot get the program to show the bookmarks correctly (or at all). They appear in the Manage Bookmarks window but will not appear on the desktop view. What am I doing wrong? When I import them, I select the All Bookmarks item to copy to but it copies everything to the Bookmarks Menu folder.

Today, when I opened my firefox page, I was forced to create a profile whether I wanted one or not. I did so, and lost all my established bookmarks and other links to items I frequently use. How can I recover those?
