What are the step-to-step instructions in order to use Free VPN? (see attached image) I did a query on the web and it came back stating that Firefox VPN was not free. I am confused. Thank you for your prompt assistance.

I am trying to activate the new free VPN feature, however your steps are not matching what's on my screen.

The first step from your [Set up VPN] article says:

"Look for the VPN setup prompt in the top-right corner of your Firefox toolbar.

   Click Next to begin the setup process. "

Yet I am not receiving this prompt.

I have logged into my account, encountered issues with my authenticator app and back up keys not being saved, and so signed up with a new mozilla account using my secondary google email. (This account I am raising this ticket with now. My primary account/email is [edited email from public] @gmail.com).

Hoping you can clarify or give an easy route into activating this wonderful new service you've announced. Am I right in understanding that it is different (ie. built-in and free?) to your Paid Service ?

This what you said: "Today we’re introducing a free built-in VPN in Firefox, a new IP-protection feature designed to keep you even more private while you browse. We’re starting by offering an industry-leading 50 gigabytes of free VPN-browsing each month." But all I see are the paid options. I want to try before I (might) buy. After all, you constantly preach that we have to be careful & trying to be careful.

I have Firefox 149 and the new Firefox VPN feature appeared with a VPN toolbar button.

I try keeping a very minimalist toolbar, but if I remove the VPN button from the toolbar, then I could not find any menu or setting item to switch the VPN on/off. The VPN section in the Settings only allows feature configuration but not switching the VPN on/off.

Do I miss something obvious, or did the Firefox developer miss something obvious?

I don't have VPN option in the toolbar settings, there's no settings featuring VPN, I didn't see VPN setup prompt. I have Split View tho. What do I do? Is built-in VPN not available in my country (I'm Russian)?

I just wanted to say thank you so much for adding the new Firefox VPN toggle. I used to use the google one VPN before they shut it down, and some websites I browse have region specific things I can't use in the US.

Please keep supporting and implementing the Firefox VPN, it greatly improves my experience on Firefox.

I understand the VPN feature in firefox is a proxy and not a VPN. VPNs are often secured using OpenVPN & Wireguard, whereas proxies are often secured using only HTTPS. How is traffic through the firefox proxy secured? Is it end-to-end? Thank you.

My browser was recently updated to 150.0.2, and on the new launch page after update describing new features, it prompted me that the new free mozilla vpn was available to try. When I clicked on the link to follow the steps to set it up, it said to click the vpn icon in the toolbar, but I don't see that icon there. When I go to more tools -> customize toolbar to try to find that icon to add it back, it doesn't appear among the toolbar options. Is this something I still don't have access to because it's in a limited beta, or is there some other way I should be accessing this?

I enabled the Firefox browser VPN as a test and then disabled it, after the Google search no longer worked.

Error says Google.com is unavailable, can't connect to servers etc.

Any ideas how to fix it ?

I see "Look for the VPN setup prompt in the top-right corner of your Firefox toolbar. If you don't see it, click the VPN icon in the toolbar." I don't see a setup prompt, and I don't see a VPN icon. What does it look like? Where should it be?

Another message says I can modify the toolbar to add the icon, but I see no icon for VPN.

How do I turn on free built-in VPN in Firefox? Online search suggests 'look for VPN icon in the top-right toolbar', but I do not have it. I am using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox on Windows 11 OS.

Your instructions regarding verifying if your new VPN feature is working don't seem to apply. I don't have any VPN feature of icon in the upper right hand corner of my Firefox window???

Hello, I'm using Firefox 149.0.0 (current is 149.0.2) in France and started testing Mozilla VPN. According to the docs, Location should appear at the bottom of the VPN UI and you should be able to change this Location, what I'm interested in.

I have 'Paramètres' (Settings) instead of the Location/Country.

Is this specific to France ?
