Hello,

Every time I log in to Outlook.com in Firefox a pop-up automatically appears below the address bar. The persistent pop-up: Add "outlook.live.com" as an application for mailto links? See screenshot attached.

Troubleshooting and modifying Settings to eliminate pop-ups and recommendations didn't stop the pop-up. Deleting Firefox beta and installing the standard version of Firefox didn't work either. The only way to manage this pop-up is to click on the "X" button to close it each time I open or refresh my Outlook.com home page. Then I get some screen space back.

Using Edge, the pop-up includes other options to choose from such as "Don't show this again", which I selected. I don't see the pop-up any more in Edge.

Why can't I get rid of this unwanted, persistent, recommendation pop-up in Firefox?

Thanks, Gordon

Hi.

After the recent update of MacOS Big Sur to 11.5.2, my Firefox browser cannot display web pages in dark mode. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, reinstalling MacOSX, used Time Machine, changed Mac display settings, changed Firefox settings and nothing works. I've attached a screenshot of how my monitor looks after the update. The background is always white If anybody has a suggestion of how to fix this or what is wrong, please let me know so others can benefit from it if they have the same problem.

Notice the white background behind the number 1,2,3,4.

Firefox (V-91.0.1) stopped working immediately after uninstalling the Mozilla VPN with an error “Code execution cannot proceed because Vcruntime140_1.dll was not found." I unstalled and re-installed Firefox several times, but the error persisted. After reviewing feedback from other users with the same problem on the Firefox support website I looked for the Vcruntime140_1.dll file in the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder on 2 other Windows 10 systems on my network with Firefox (V-91.0.1) running successfully, but it was not on either system. All 3 systems are 64 bit running Windows Version 21H1. However, I was able to locate a version of the "_1" file (size 44.7 kb) in the MS Edge folder located in \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\92.0.902.73. I copied the file from the Edge folder to the \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder and Firefox has been working fine for 2 days now, I can only hope it continues to work properly.

At this point I believe there are 3 issues that need to be understood. 1.) This will probably happen to other people and should be addressed in the Firefox install software. 2.) The problem created by the Mozilla VPN uninstall software needs to be understood and corrected. 3.) Why don't all systems of what appear to be the same configuration require the "_1" file.

After searching in the browser bar, and then getting results, i click on hyperlinks from the results and new tabs open. I explore the subsequent open tabs, and then at some point, the search functions quit working in all tabs, and i need to restart firefox to correct the issue (searching in the main browser bar ).

If i type an actual address - it will sometimes "clear the glitch" and the "searching in the broswer bar" may start working again...

Any ideas why the search function would not respond from time to time?

I truly cannot fathom why a browser, in this day & age, cannot put the list of open tabs & windows in the drop-down menu, in even SOME KIND OF ORDER! But no, it's nothing more than a long list, impossible to filter in any way, that is not in chronological, alphabetical, order of most recent used, no option to list via website or page title, etc. This is so ridiculously frustrating, along with the molasses lack of speed in opening up windows or tabs, that I'm on the verge of just chucking this entire app, for good. Why do our state-of-the-art advanced technological devices and apps, feel more like we're going backwards, and not forward??

Firefox is not rendering pages correctly. Chrome renders correctly. Machine is in Mojave Firefox renders correctly on another machine (Catalina) with the same account login sync. It is very distracting as pages are rendered poorly. I tried disabling hardware acceleration; then restarted Firefox. No change. I uninstalled and re-installed Firefox Default (System) theme No optional extensions or plugins

Hi volunteers, thank you.

I have been using Firefox for ever - on my macbook air, catalina, usig 91.01.01 Firefox version.

Until last week everything was fine - -then all of a sudden images and icons on some website were not loading properly, if at all. like www.microsoft.com and www.mandalina.com . The images are fine on Safari just not FF.

I erased FF and cleaned everything and uploaded a new browser, same problem.

Have I accidentally done something ?

Thanks

I have noticed in the last few days that the scrollbar has been changing colors from site to site. On most, it remains a light grey, but on some sites, most notably Youtube, it has turned a darker color, with the scrollbar turning outright black on videos now from Youtube, but only if I'm not signed in. Meanwhile if I'm signed in, it's a darker shade of gray, but not outright black. Does anyone know what's causing this? I will include screenshots, with the scrollbars circled. The first shows the scrollbar in its normal coloration, and the following three showing Youtube, first on its main page, then one with me signed in, another with me signed out, growing progressively darker.

Is this a glitch, or something to do with their coding, or what? If someone can answer this, I'd love to know what I'm dealing with here.

I just had to both do a refresh and an update on my firefox browser, and after which, the + button to open a new tab is gone. For me and my work, this is infinitely more convenient than using ctrl + t, so I'm pretty desperate to get it back to the point that I will jump ship to Chrome if I can't.

It's not available to add on in the customization screen either, so I'm really concerned that firefox just removed it entirely with this update.

I'm not sure why they keep changing the template, but for me, this is a hill I'll die on. Please help.

Two nights ago my MacBook Pro did a system update. When I came back to my computer in the morning and pulled up FireFox, it was black and white with not showing certain icons and text font looking weird and just all around messed up. For example, for my job's website there is none of the colors that should be there and it looks really off. For Google Sheets, I use highlights to help know where I am in a process of working but when I click on the icon to show me the highlight colors it is all white with a few white boxes. When I take the cursor to an area, it will show me a small box with what the color is and I can still click and get a color. So it is like the viewing of FireFox is messed up and I don't know how to get it back to normal. When I go to another website, like IXL.com, and try to select an answer, you can't see what has been selected and you don't see the box around "submit" to make he button image. I have uploaded my screen images of what I am talking about, including one of this support page because I have a feeling this is not how it is suppose to look.

Windows 10 Pro 20H2, Firefox 91.0.1

In a specific webpage, Horizontal scrollbar shows up and extends or shrink how I move my cursor. On the infinite scroll, As long as I keep moving my cursor, The page goes forever. It supposed to end.

I've tried it with Safe mode and no change. Same behavior. Other browsers are working fine.

I'm not sure if this is a page specific issue or not. Most webpages are fine except for that. Here's the page source in case you need to test:
