My wife's old Windows 10 HP laptop quit working last week do to some Operating System failure while it was trying to do an update. It finally did a reboot and now it is useless, at least as it is! It will NOT complete the boot process after trying all of the options offered. All that I am able to is exit out of Windows to a "DOS prompt." I am able to get to the Mozilla Firefox folder and others contain within. The new Windows 11 laptop I bought her is working fine with a fresh Firefox browser installed about a week ago. What she wants is her web links, settings and saved passwords "copied" from the old laptop and installed on the new one! We have no idea how many there are to retrieve! I'm hoping that there might only be one folder that I can copy via "command line" prompt to a USB drive and move the file(s) to the new laptop the same way. Can anyone tell me what I need to know? I don't have access to the primary email to do anything. I do have the secondary email entered but it's asking for a code from the primary email to change it, like I mentioned we don't have access to. Is there any help for this. Hate to lose what we have.

How do I get the full url line of where I am currently on the homepage back for the search line, or the old full browser line? Have been looking in settings and haven't located it.

About ready to leave firefox over it, and been here for years.

please allow me to stop firefox for making tab groups. I already checked the setting "Use AI to suggest tabs and a name for tab groups" but you don't have a setting that eliminates tab groups altogether. these tab groups keep popping up and messing up my tab organization. thank you

It appears thousands of others have the same issue with NOTHING affecting the search bar handoff to the address bar (changing true/false in about:config does NOTHING, v148.xx). Why not just do away with any search bar and do everything from the address bar? That way enough will be annoyed they'll find an operational browser. Like too many "upgrades," this one went seriously backwards.

How do I get the 'open in new tab' option back when I use the right button on my mouse. It does not appear on the menu when I right click? This is a change overnight and I have not altered any settings.

The last update (which was VERY rocky... I had to reinstall and functionality has NOT been great since) eliminated the Bookmarks icon from the top ribbon. I've looked through settings, but find no way to restore it. Can it be restored? I now have to click the menu, Settings, and THEN Bookmarks.

I have done every step I can find to change this setting, nothing works, why did this change all of a sudden and how do I fix it, this is ridiculous, why would you change my settings without asking me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to find out how to keep all the shortcuts I've selected for my Mozilla Firefox Home page. I've filled all 4 rows with shortcuts I've selected, but some keep getting automatically replaced with shortcuts to any new website I've visited, which I DON'T want new shortcuts to !, especially when they're replacing shortcuts I actually DO want !

There is a search bar in the middle of my screen (Firefox/DuckDuckGo) It does not work. If I type in it, the cursor moves to address bar. This is very annoying as I am looking at the search bar and watching what I type. Then the search bar fades out so I can't even try to type in it anymore. From what I have read on the forum, Firefox has disabled the "fix" for this problem. So essentially they have made the visible search bar useless and have fixed it so that those of us who prefer to use it are completely out of luck. What does Firefox get out of this? I'm feeling really manipulated and will probably just switch back to Chrome. From reading other questions, I get the feeling they are planning an ever better search bar (can't image what that could mean, all I want to do is search). But why destroy the old one before the new one is ready?

After using firefox for most of my life i am disappointed with the current service i am receiving. I have recently purchased a new laptop with windows 11 installed & no matter how many times i try my passwords are not being synced. I have imported them from my last device but the only password that is showing is the mozilla firefox account. Please help as i am constantly having to change my passwords as the previous ones are not shown. Thanks

I have upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and my Firefox bookmarks have disappeared. I understand that Firefox keeps a copy of my bookmarks which appear each time I start Firefox, so how can I make them appear again automatically when I open Firefox?
