Since the latest Firefox latest update yesterday (02/24/2026), each time I try to open a new tab in Firefox it crashes. I get a "gah, your tab has crashed" message but when I hit the "restore" link nothing happens. How do I fix this at my end? Thank you.

Firefox has been crashing regularly for a full day now. I have one profile with multiple extensions, and a fresh profile that is meant to test firefox without any. With this new, "clean-slate" profile with none of my extensions installed, I still get repeated crashes. It is getting in the way of my ability to work- it happens even in Troubleshoot mode, even though I could not confirm any hardware issues prior to this.

Will I need to delete the extenstion-filled profile entirely before going forward? Is there an update I need to install, or anything else I should do myself? Should I provide a list of my extensions?

my firefox keep crashing when i join google meet and i need to do multitask so i open another firefox windows(private or not) it always crash few second after, i have tried the trouble shoot mode its still crashing, even the new windows from SSO request do trigger my firefox to crash. when the browser crash it does offer me to restore my session

Firefox is shutting down all my active tabs automatically WITHOUT asking me. This is regularly happening and wastes a lot of time. Is it due to installing Updates ? I DON"T want ANY updates and I am fully happy with my current version. If this doesn't go away, I will have to delete this browser and move elsewhere.

Over the past 2 or 3 weeks, I've noticed that firefox tabs are crashing more often out of nowhere.

Here's one of the links for the most recent tab crash. Other crashes pretty much were all the same. I can't read or understand this, so I was hoping someone who can is able to tell me what is wrong.

I fear that it might be hardware related, as I've had tabs also crash on Edge and on a new install of Firefox Developer Edition (which I downloaded simply to test if things crashed there as well.) I've also noticed programs like Discord & Elgato Wave Link sometimes randomly crashing as well - but I'm unsure how to pull logs for those, Firefox was the easiest.

My laptop's hardware specs are as follows:

Firefox crashes but I have never seen the crash reporter on my 6.18.10-200.fc43.x86_64 Fedora 43 system with budgie-desktop 10.9.3

Is the crash reporter discontinued?

NB - For the past half a year I have to sometimes right click to interact with them, anyway

Effectively, I will interact with the extension at the most basic, normal level on something that has interactive elements like a dropdown menu, or basic options.

I will click / right click on the icon and the highlight will appear, then that's it ... the browser then crashes and does not recover. :(

What's worse is that I have to Force Quit and when I restart there is no crash report to send to Moz.

I am just wondering if other Linux users have experienced similar issues.

I have Hardware Acceleration on.

I am about to start testing with it off, but I work from the browser, and do not want performance compromises. So that is (at best) a work-around, and certainly is not a fix.

Hello. I had been experiencing a lot of freezes, hang ups, and disconnectivity with crash messages asking me to either restart Firefox, or quit firefox ! I finally just recently downloaded again from your website and in order to function it defaulted to Safe Mode. How do I correct this ? Note: The website is currently operational but not at 100% ! When in Settings nothing can be done and it advises that it's because it's in Safe Mode ! How do I correct this ?

I wanted to report that Firefox froze or crashed. I could not close it and had to Endtask it. I am running the latest version supposedly on Windows 11. Why did this occur?

i am not happy right now, lately mozilla is crashing and requesting restart on sensitive documents and not restoring previous sessions, i spend lots of time and energy filling documents for it to just mysteriously vanish my hard work, so not happy right now.

Hi The tabs have crashed notice keeps coming up on every change of page !!! I have the latest version installed with all my passwords saved, I am not a PC wizard so please explain how to solve this simply its driving me crazy !

Firefox is crashing for me pretty consistently. It was happening with a significant amount of time in between each one but has escalated to the point where it is happening once every few minutes now. I have checked for updates and ran Firefox in troubleshoot mode. There are no updates available for me, and it still crashed in troubleshoot mode. My most recent crash report is bp-462fb540-28d6-4d0c-8007-6428d0251028. I am running Pop!os and recently did a firmware update, so I am wondering if that is where the problem is originating from since I had no issues with Firefox prior to that update.
