I-Firefox Isithangami Sokwesekwa

Having changed for a time to another browser and imported/exported back and forth, I am presently with three bookmark menus, one after another. When a bookmark does not appear, I have to go to manage bookmarks to see in which one it is. Is there a possibility of merging the menus or only by manually checking in one menu and scrolling to the next, etc. and eventually deleting the excess? If the last is the only option, is there any way to get a second display to work from instead of having to scroll back and forth? Thank you for your imput.

i logged in to my firefox account on my daughters laptop - but my bookmarks didn't appear - when i synced now her bookmarks have replaced mine - i want mine back please

I have a Firefox account and I want to recover my bookmarks and passwords. My Windows 10 PC didn't boot up so I had to do a factory reset. After the reset, I logged into Firefox and tried using the Import and Backup tool. There was only one recovery date so I chose that. I clicked on the date and was prompted "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup. Are you sure?" I click OK and nothing happens. I didn't see my bookmarks and rebooted my computer.

It sounds like this might be two different issues: Bookmarks and Passwords.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I got a new machine, and exported from a windows 10 machine running firefox and got a "bookmarks.html " file that was saved to my desktop. I then used a USB drive to put it on a new LINUX box with firefox running on it. something happened with the "other bookmarks" folder in my bookmarks list. It is empty and I cannot access it. PLUS there is ANOTHER "other bookmark" folder on the bottom of the list that I cannot access or select.

The "other bookmarks" on the bookmarks tab is empty (the one on the top of the list). I can't move a URL to it. There is also another "other bookmarks" on the bottom. which I cannot select and therefore cannot get rid of. And I have a link to some place that I also cannot select (and therefore cannot get rid of).

All the bookmarks in my folders and lists are ok and they work. I think the bookmarks list (which I cannot find in the linux file system) is corrupted. How can I find it, delete it, and then try to import my new "bookmarks.html" again ? Using Linux POP-os ver 22. Most recent release.

There are two different Firefox icons for saved internet pages on my computer. I am running Windows 10. One type opens normally in a new tab. The other causes all my bookmarks and home page personalised settings to be lost. If Firefox is already open, the bad one complains that Firefox is already running. I know how to recover the lost bookmarks and settings. How can I make the bad ones open like good ones? If I try to remotely open a good one resident on my wife's computer, it behaves like a bad one but it opens normally on her computer (Win 10 laptop).

My bookmarks are just gone not all just everything after the letter B in order. They are not in back up I followed all the restore bookmarks options in help nothing has worked.

I used to have my Bookmarks toolbar visible. It worked fine until the latest update today. Now it's gone. I've set it to show Bookmarks toolbar. Tried turning it on and off. Doesn't work. Here's a snapshot of it. Just below that last line is a list of my bookmarks on the toolbar. The bookmarks are still there. It's the toolbar that has disappeared.

Hello, Having a little difficulty with which I am hoping someone might assist. My primary PC has died on me, and I am making attempt at transferring my life over to another for temporary use. I have installed Firefox as it was my primary browser on this now-dead PC and logged in to my Firefox account; however the bookmarks in this browser are very old. How might I go about accessing the latest version of all my bookmarks, that were on the now-dead PC (or are they only backed up very infrequently)? Any information is appreciated! Thank you

My bookmarks are greyed out and are not working. This happened this morning and i don't know what is causing this problem. We restarted the computer and now some of the links (when you click) just bring you to firefox login. They don't go to the bookmark site.

So I just rebuilt my PC with all new Parts. Basically the only parts I kept were the PSU, and the Case. I installed Windows fresh on a brand new m.2 SSD, everything up and running and installed Firefox.

I have the OLD m.2 SSD set up as a flash drive, that I can plug into a USB port on my new motherboard, which has allowed me to transfer over things like My Docs and My Pics, etc.

Now I need to know what files I need to copy, from where, and to where; to restore my Firefox profile with all my bookmarks, etc.

Can anyone help me with this?

I have tried searching online and the suggestion is to "Undo" command on the "Organize" menu of the Library window as described in this link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1198441 but I cannot find any Library window.

Please advise step-by-step how to retrieve accidental deleted folder in FF 112.0.2.

Occasionally I select a bookmark in my menu bar that has become orphaned. Once on the page, I select the "Blue Star" and then try to remove the bookmark for that page to no avail. The bookmark remains even after shutting down and restarting Firefox (sync is off). Moreover, there are some bookmarks for which the "Remove Bookmark" option is not available after selecting the Blue Star.

I know that I can delete unwanted bookmarks using the Bookmark Manager but that method is time consuming when it comes to unknown, orphaned bookmarks that one stumbles upon from time to time. The aforementioned technique for removing these orphaned bookmarks is quicker assuming it worked.

Perhaps the Blue Star could remain filled in once a page is saved and subsequently returned too. Should one wish to remove the bookmark one need only return to the page and deselect the filled in Blue Star thus returning it to its outlined form while also removing the bookmark from ones menu.

Thoughts?

firefox v 112.0.2 64 bit windows 11 home 22H2 22621.1635. Sometime in the past 2 weeks when I use ctrl-D to create a bookmark, I get the dialogue box and check SAVE but the bookmark is not added. I can delete bookmarks, I just cannot create new ones. I have renamed places.sqlite and xulstore.json to no avail. Any suggestions to correct?
