the labels toggle button on google maps is unresponsive in both satellite and maps views. where do i find a setting to allow this button to become active? can i program the button to become active? thanks for any help.

i'm on windows 11 and use firefox web browser. both are up to date. i tried it on the microsoft edge browser and it works.

i've tried disabling all addons, restarted firefox, and problem still exists.

next i went through all of my firefox settings and toggled those that might apply. problem still exists.

next went into about:config and checked all settings not set at default. toggled any that might apply. problem still there.

any other suggestions in the community? is there a particular area of firefox i should look into closer. i would prefer not to have to reinstall or reconfigure firefox on a wholesale level. i have it highly customized and it would take multiple hours over a number of days to get everything back to where it is. this is the only site giving me a problem, and only this function on the site.

under layers/more the globe view toggle works fine, only the labels view toggle is not working.

i inspected the button element in 'firefox inspect' and found the attribute disabled="false". google maps is not honouring the attribute. when i remove the attribute, the button works. i cannot apply this across sessions though.

Firefox instructions for creating an electronic signature tell you to go to "Options" in the "tools" list, which I assume is the list under the three parallel lines in the upper right corner. There is no "Options" section in this list on my browser, either by itself or under one of the other categories in the list, or anywhere else that I can find on the browser website. So I can make no progress. Suggestions?

I am not a sophisticated computer user and I have some cognitive problems due to age and illness so please be as simplistic as possible with any response. I was trying out new features and now have the private browsing icon on the bottom bar on my screen. The color purple triggers strong anxiety for me so I just want to get that off my screen. I won't be using private browsing so I want to remove it. I tried to drag it to the recycle bin but couldn't get rid of it that way. Please help me remove that icon from ever being on my screen. I am a developer currently working on an open-source solution called GeoNetwork (https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/). This application has a Java backend that uses a JSESSIONID cookie to track user sessions. One instance of the application can be accessed anonymously here: https://sextant.ifremer.fr/Donnees/Catalogue

The session cookie is set on the first request to the backend with the following parameters:

Domain: "sextant.ifremer.fr" expirationDate: "Session" HostOnly: true HttpOnly: true SameSite: "None" Secure: true

This application theoretically allows login in from a different origin. For example from https://www.milieumarinfrance.fr/Acces-aux-donnees/Catalogue, which under the hood points to the same backend. We noticed recently that when accessing the application from a different origin in Firefox, the network requests aimed at the "sextant.ifremer.fr" host *do not carry any existing session cookie*, thus rendering authenticated access impossible.

The existing session cookie is correctly used when I add an "allow" exception for the sextant.ifremer.fr origin in the cookies settings of Firefox (see attached screenshot in French). So I figure that it's Firefox that decides not to use any existing cookie when on this origin.

Is there any way to indicate to Firefox that this cookie is legitimate and that it is needed for essential functionalities, without relying on the user allowing the cookie explicitly?

I am using windows 10 64. Youtube videos don't play on the latest version of firefox, but do with microsoft edge. The spinning loading circle icon appears but video playback just doesn't work on any video at all, not even youtube shorts. This seems to be a problem only with firefox version 106.0.1 and 106.0.2 on my system. I downgraded to firefox version 105.0.3 and had no issue with youtube playback.

How to force Firefox stop autoplaying videos when I'm switching to the i.e. new YouTube tab, but in the same time do not pause a next video on YouTube playlist. Some time ago it worked well, but now if I set Block Audio or\and Video in settings, I have to manually click Play, and with Allow Audio and Video chosen it starts playing video immediately after I click on another tab.

It seems like a malware but I ran a few different tools and nothing was found. Every time I search something is shows google results for half a second then goes to Bing. Any ideas?

I'm trying to create a FF account, but when I put in my e-mail address I get the error "Primary account email required for sign-in". I may have in the past used an old e-mail address, but that address is old and now gone.

I can't log into FF with the old account because it wants to send a confirmation e-mail (to an address that no longer exists). So my main e-mail address is now blocked from being used with FF.

I had to create a new e-mail address just to create an account to post this, but I really want to be able to use my normal e-mail address so I can use sync. Does anyone know how I can do this, or are any admin people able to help me fix this?

I keep getting a notice that says "this VPN download may contain a virus that can infect my pc. Make sure that I want to download it". I don't understand why I'm getting this warning about your product. I just paid to get this extra protection and now I don't know if I should download it.

Since the recent Update October 2022 Firefox is not mirroring Video from Netflix. It mirrors the home screen but when I go to play a movie/show it shows a black screen and audio. I have tried everything that's been suggested. Turning every off, device, modem router, apple box but nothing is working. This is very inconvenient. Please Help

Why does browser ask me each and everyday that I use it; a pop-up asking same questions 1.) if I want to be default ? 2. If I want to update. Its irritating for me.

Imported bookmarks html from Firefox (win 10) to Firefox (win 11) not showing on bookmarks only on Manage Bookmarks.

I only see a few dozen random bookmarks when I go to the three slash "Open Application Menu" and none of the Folders. If I go into Manage Bookmarks I can see the folders and other missing bookmarks.

I keep getting a rectangle popping up asking for my PRIMARY PASSWORD--Mozilla Firefox Please Enter Primary Password Sign In Cancel

I've tried every password I know & none work. So I changed my Firefox password (primary?? I don't know)

The rectangle continues to pop-up. To get rid of it I hit Cancel a couple of times.

I can access my Firefox Account But this rectangle is totally annoying.

Firefox update just changed top menu bar color setting to RED. Awful!!! How do I get back to reset the top color bar? Have spent 30 minutes trying to find answer without success

I denied permission to a website to access my camera and microphone on the top toolbar. How do I grant permission now to the websoite. I did not mean to deny permission every time I visited. I am also using another computer with windows 10pro and I am havin the same issue

With the latest update, my Win 7 Dell laptop hangs every time I exit Firefox. All I can do is log out and log back in to correct it. There is just a spinning icon that never goes away and I can't access the Windows menu. I'm submitting this from another machine so I don't have to deal with the issue.

about:config network.security.ports.banned.override 1-65535 does not work

I manage several systems that use various ports. I cannot get any override to work making firefox useless to do my job.

I forgot my "primary password" so I reset my password twice today. However, the browser pop up window keeps asking me for my "primary password" and this pop up window will not accept the new passwords. I also deleted Firefox from my computer and re-downloaded it, but this did not help. I attached a picture of this pop up window that has not updated even after I reset my password. I also cannot log out and log back into my firefox account in my browser without entering this password.

Is there anything else I can do? I understand that my data will be lost when I reset the primary password.

I have been using online banking for years and using Firefox to access my accounts. Suddenly, I now get an error message (see attached) that demands I use another browser (e.g., Chrome, etc.). I want to continue with Firefox. The website support people tell me there is a Firefox update needed, but the latest Firefox is installed. I did the usual and deleted the cache and the site data. No effect.

Can you help?
