Is there a way for me to opt out of any new "AI" functionality/features that would otherwise be enabled by default? Like the tab suggestions and perplexity in search. Having AI shoved down my throat from every corner of the internet is kind of frustrating.

To sign into Chatgbt I used my google account. Mozilla asks me "do I want to store info in persistent storage?" I click "learn more" about persistent storage. It takes me to a page that has zero mention of the words "persistent storage". That is a huge UX error. It says to me that really, you don't want me to know about persistent storage, and prefer that I remain confused and feel forced to agree to things I may not really want to, because you're making it difficult to understand what's actually involved. Not cool. Definitely now considering changing my browser after over 20 years.

On Firefox, I can't use a chatbot because it says Speech recognition is not supported in this browser. This is my own new website that has a chatbot in it to help people out. I'm trying to test it. It works fine on Chrome and Safari but not on Firefox? Why? I have an IMac computer and my software and operating systems are up to date. Firefox is currently my default browser, but that may have to change, if this can't be corrected. Thanks!

I am on Mac and our company uses Google Workspace tools. Over the past few weeks my google pages are continually loading and lose connectivity. When I run Chrome I never have this issues.

I ran developer tools network. I see lots and lots of ns_binding_aborted errors.

What can I do to ensure Google plays nicely with Firefox. I really don't want to use Chrome but this issue is making it hard to use.

Firefox just updated and ALL of my bookmarks are gone. There is NOTHING. WTF? I am not a computer person so reading help articles just makes my head spin and of course I can't reach a real live person at Mozillabold text. Can anyone help?

Hi, I do not understand the new profile management feature of Firefox and how it relates to sync. I am logged into my Mozilla account that syncs bookmarks, and I use the default profile that I renamed to "personal". When I switch to a newly created "work" profile, I am no longer signed in.

Will the new profiles "personal" and "work" be synced to my account once I log on to both? I am using Firefox on several PCs and I don't want to recreate profiles such as "personal" and "work" on all the PCs manually?

Over the years I have saved many bookmarks across several different devices. Therefore the bookmarks vary between devices. Is there any way that I can tidy up my bookmarks, deleting many of them, on my main machine and then have all the other devices Synch to that list only?

I have tried deleting ALL the bookmarks on the "subsidiary" devices and then synched them but that didn't work. I think I'm asking whether one device can be made the "master" for all the others to Synch to that one and none of the others.

2 issues, first it asks me for my password over and over again until I am so angry I could scream! First my password but then oh surprise the password is wrong so I reset it and it asks for my recovery key so I go look for my recovery key and find it and copy then enter it and thats wrong. Then I look and I am fucking signed in any way! WHAT THE HELL! GOOGLE you make so much money and your destroying the planet with your tech so why can't you figure out this stupid shit already...COME ON!! 2nd, WHY ARE MY DOWNLOADS NOT GOING ONTO MY DOWNLOADS FOLDER! I am not a tech idiot!!! BTW I am an advanced user so if I am having a hard time it's because your software is garbage!!! Seriously I just need my downloads to download...That should be so easy!!! Same as password management...It should not be hard for you of all company's the least you could do for your users are these simple and small things! As of a few days ago (mid-October 2025), when I'm on an eBay listing page, nothing I click on works. I can navigate to my watchlist, selling pages, etc, so it seems like it's just the listing pages. When I'm on a listing page, if I click on the heart to "watch" an item, nothing happens. If I click on thumbnails in the photos to try and view other images than the main one, nothing happens. The buttons on the right for "Add to Cart", "Buy it Now", etc also do not function. I think it's been about 3 or 4 days since this problem started. I opened a listing page in Chrome and it worked as usual, all the buttons seemed functional.

I quit Firefox and when I restarted it it said it was a new version! It said something about restoring but I assumed it was just restoring my prior pages! DAMN! I can't even find a place to import bookmarks!

I am so angry I could chew nails!

This is a bit of an odd question, but I'm gutted. I have pretty severe OCD and AI tools have become very problematic for my reassurance seeking behaviors. I just got all of them blocked using tools like coldturkey and screen time. Now as of this update they're all in my firefox sidebar, and so far I see no way to block, only hide them (the trouble here is I know it's there, if I'm feeling a compulsion it's incredibly difficult not to follow through). Is there any iron clad way to block this? I hate how hard these things are being pushed!

I regularly use a website which intercepts command-option-up and command-option-down for its own navigation. This is a central part of my workflow with this website, and without it it becomes completely unusable.

After updating to Firefox 140.0.4, these shortcuts are now used by the browser to switch tabs. I have not found any way to configure this. Am I missing some obscure way to do this or is this just impossible?

I imagine this change was made to support vertical tabs, but I'm not using those, so the command-option-left and command-option-right shortcuts make more sense for my horizontal setup. (I don't use those shortcuts either, though- I use ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab!)

Hi. I used to be able to just grab and image on a webpage and drag it to my desktop. Now I have to go through the whole rigmaroll of right click and save. Anyone know how I can go back to the faster way please?
