I have a Macbook laptop and I'm using a secondary screen. I use Firefox on my secondary screen, and anytime I hover over a bookmark or a button that has a tooltip, the tooltip shows on my primary monitor, instead of showing on the secondary monitor. Steps to reproduce: 1. Setup a Mac with a secondary monitor 2. Launch Firefox on the second monitor 3. Enable the Bookmark Bar and make sure you have some bookmark set in a folder structure 4. Open one of the folder so it drops down 5. Hover over one of the items in the folder SEE: The tooltip appears on the primary monitor floating over empty space, instead of hovering over the proper menu entry in the secondary monitor
I have attached a screen capture (obscuring some personal items).
Note: Some tooltips show in the right place, but all bookmark tooltips,

The dates are not always accurate in my mail account. for example, right now, some of my mail is showing a date of 'July 26, 2021'. Sometimes, it looks like the date changes but when I get to the end of July, it recycles back to July 1 and starts over. On Apple Macbook with Mojave OS.

I recently migrated from Chrome to Firefox as my preferred browser and have generally been very satisfied. There is one issue, however, that is driving me crazy and has forced me away from the Firefox browser multiple times to find a solution. It is this: When I occasionally perform searches on webpages that use dropdown menus, only the first 20 (or so) items in the list can be accessed. I can scroll, but the scrolling stops before reaching the bottom of the list. I've accessed these lists in other browsers and I know they are longer, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what is limiting these in Firefox. I am using an iMac Pro running the Catalina OS and Firefox version 86. Any help at all would be very appreciated! I've attached three images from the same webpage and dropdown menu. Two are using Firefox (the second is after I've scrolled down), and the third is using Safari (which shows the complete list). I literally cannot scroll past the bottom of Image #2, even though in Image #3, you can see that there are 10 additional lines of options in the textbox.

I updated my iOS to Big Sur, and now many emails on Yahoo are displaying content as gobbledygook. Sometimes it's the subject lines, signatures, and email addresses in emails and the threads of forwarded emails. Other times it's the text on home listings or job ads. This isn't happening on my gmail account, or when I access Yahoo through Safari, nor is it happening on my mobile devices. It's specific to the combination of Yahoo/Firefox/Big Sur. Any idea how to fix or when Mozilla might address this bug in an update?
Many thanks, Erika

Hi, I'm having login issues on a website. I use Firefox for my browser. I have a couple of add-ons and VPN. I have disabled them but it still does not work. I have tried Safari with no VPN and no joy there either. I have cleared all cookies, cache history, put tracking protection at standard and cleared cookies from the Profile Folder (read the article on Mozilla about this issue). I have taken Firewall off Mac and tried it withiut VPN. Still nothing. I have checked my ipad without vpn. I can login on that on Firefox (without vpn) but I want to use my macbook if possible.
It's strange because I managed to log in on the website first time no problem and then I logged out and back in again and it wouldn't accept the password change. it's for a course and the people organising it have reset the initial password again but I still can't log in (they can do it with my username as they have sent me a video showing me they can and saying that it must be my end).
I have previously had a login problem with another website with a 403 error but that works without vpn. This doesn't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got four rows of eight top sites, not sure what the default order they're in is based upon, but it would be nice if we could have them arranged alphabetically, as an option. Is this possible, or must we move each individual one manually, to accomplish this?

Every 2 to 3 days sometimes longer, Firefox will randomly reset itself and close out all windows and tabs to a single window and different search engine. Restore last session is never available when this happens even though I have that selected and checked and it does work when I manually close out windows and tabs myself so i know that preference is selected. My search engine preferences are always reset and have to restore defaults as well. Mac os Big Sur 11.2
Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this sudden mystery. Long time user of firefox on macbook pro and mac towers.

Every so often when I am browsing and go onto a website the text becomes all jumbled as if it can't read the font properly. This has only started happening recently. It definitely seems to be a font issue as when I copy the text and paste it into a document it reads perfectly and if I close the browser then open it again the text is back to normal. It seems to happen after I've been using the browser for a while.

Hi,
I am confused about the two ways we control cookies. Firefox says its blocks trackers ( ie cookies), esp third party ones, which are the problematic ones.
But when we surf, we see options to accept third party cookies. So far I always go ahead and select No. But could I be saving time by clicking yes; knowing Firefox blocks them anyway ? Shouldn't there be a way that Firefo sends information to the site I'm visiting automatically about my wish not to have third party trackers?
Thanks, Caroline

I just updated Firefox on my Mac to Firefox 86.0 and the app itself became named Firefox 2. When it is running the name on dock is now Firefox 2.
I tried to change it back to plain Firefox (removing the space character and 2 from its name in the Application folder).
When I did that an relaunched it the display looked a bit weird and all of my bookmarks were gone!
Changing it back to Firefox 2 made it well again. I have never, ever seen Firefox do this.

Updated to Firefox 86.0. MacOS. If I now attempt to access my router using its local address (192.x.x.1) it simply doesn't happen. I've allowed pop-ups for the sign in window - although it never needed it before. Tried http and https. Also have a bookmark for it which no longer works. All I get is a blank tab, yet there's some endless communication happening according to Menu Meters Rx/Tx display. If I do the same as always using Safari I can log into the router exactly as I always have done. Why? What has been changed? What has Firefox blocked? Help please.
