Firefox will only start if I sign in as an administrator. It doesn't connect to the internet, and I can't get to the help screen. I did a refresh but that hasn't help. If I uninstall and then reinstall a new copy correct the problem? How do I save and reinstall my bookmarks and settings? I love Firefox and prefer it over other browsers. But I need to fix it and any help you provide will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

with this new version i lost everything i need to get back to an older version and get all my extentions my bookmarks back all my s desktop items that i had linked to firefox are gone i can no longer get face book or anything back to firefox book marks every thing i had with firefox

FF is offering up possible login names for a particular site I have used previously even though I have removed all related browsing history, form data, and cookies (and cleared the cache). What am I missing? Is it using stored history for unrelated sites to guess at a user name, or is there some other hidden history I need to clear?

In all webpages, including Firefox settings pages, text appears like poorly chosen Cleartype settings. This does NOT apply to the menu and Address bars, nor the drop down options in "Which topic best describes your question?" that appears when asking a question here. Troubleshooting mode does NOT solve this, however switching profiles DOES, so I imagine there is a setting responsible for this however I've reset all font-related settings I could find. I've attached a screenshot of the result on this page. Choosing alternative fonts does NOT solve this.

Sometimes when I click on a stored bookmark all I get is a white page and no info.? when this happens I right click on the firefox icon in the taskbar and go to a new private window and after that I can get to the bookmarked site. wondering why this happens at times. I am using windows 10 for now but am planning to build another computer with windows 11 in the future.

My shortcuts keep disappearing from my home page when I turn my computer on. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes I have to spend a long time trying to find them. Sometimes I just have to restart Firefox. Sometimes I have to go into settings. Sometimes I can't work it out.

Has been happening for the past month or so.

Dear Mozilla, I have enjoyed Firefox and I always appreciated the vast headline stories recommended in the past. Recently, there seems to be a change where every recommended article requires a paid subscription, i.e. Slate Plus, I already pay WAPO, NYT, WSJ, San Diego Union Tribune, Arizona Republic that i cannot afford to pay each and every website. I would be very happy if you could tell me where in my settings i can set it to show only free articles or perhaps my screen could show a little green dollar sign saying if article was behind a paywall. thank you for your time in reading and assistance. Not sure if "browse" is the correct topic but here we go:

After a random crash (I don't remember the details, been a while) I've "refreshed" Firefox. Following that I started to have some problems with Google Meet. Haven't had any for years and suddenly when i open Google Meet (working from home and using Google Meet as an online meeting platform daily), everything becomes unresponsive. I can't change tab, cannot close Firefox from the close button, nothing. I open the Windows Task Manager and End Task manually to close the window so I can restart the browser. After restarting Firefox and launch Google Meet, it doesn't crash.

The other problem is when I try to watch something on Netflix, I hear the sound, see the subtitles but the video content is not present. It's just black screen with UI on it. Yes, I checked the DRM setting and no, other streaming services that I use don't have this problem. I can bypass this by launching Firefox in troubleshoot mode but I want to use my extensions. I even tried to enable them one-by-one to see if anyone causing problems but even when I disable all of my extensions like in the troubleshoot mode I'm still having the same problem.

I tried several solutions that I found on reddit etc. but nothing worked so far. I also re-installed Firefox and nothing changed.

Please help me before I lose my mind (:

When I'm on my phone and signed into my Firefox I want to be able to send tabs to my desktop. I'll click the three dots on my Samsung 20fe, click share, and click send to device. My p.c. is listed and when i click on it, a box pop's up and says "tab sent. I don't know where it's going, but it's not making it to my desk top. Hello Folks, I just importeda a new certificate. Then I wanted to save all my certificates for backup. Selecting "Backup all...", I neter a secure password and click ok just to get the following error message: Failed to create the PKCS #12 backup file for unknown reasons the only button is "OK"

How can I start finding out what is going on and is there any means to save my certificates?

Good Morning! I've just come back to FF after using another browser for quite a few years. Things have changed alot here, but I'm loving it all so far! With that being said, have been trying to get a few extensions set up. Main one being Open Link with New Tab. (WHY doesn't FF do that automatically? lol.) Anyway, obviously I'm doing something wrong because it just stays grayed out. I've uninstalled/reinstalled quite a few times. I know it's something so basically simple and I'm overlooking it. HELP! If it ain't broke, don't fi(o)x it. Never try to be too clever. I cannot log out of OUTLOOK.COM, then after goodness knows hot long, it says that I have been kicked out and need to login again. CRAP!!!!!!!

Duck duck search via Firefox has become painfully slow, although if Google search is used the speed is OK. I have cleared caches, cookies etc without any improvement. Firefox 148.0.2, Windows10. Is this a recognised current problem?
