Firefox 146.0.1 (aarch64) macOS 26.2 (25C56) on M2 Pro

Hello.

I'm dealing with a strange issue that began with Firefox 146.0 and continues with 146.0.1. I previously blocked categories I do not care about such as Parenting, Cooking, and others. When doing so, for some reason some of my followed topics including Sports, NFL and NHL no longer appear along with the rest of the topics I've followed. (Please notice only followed sports-related topics disappeared...)

Checking the settings for Firefox Home shows no blocked topics (even those I have explicitly blocked), and checking what I can think to think via about:config shows me nothing I can edit to get my desired topics back.

So, I'm not sure what to edit to get my missing topics back. If they were blocked because of some bug, i cannot see blocked topics in the Firefox Home settings, so I cannot unblock them if that's what would need to be done. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to resolve it or are you aware of some BugZilla or GitHub issue I can watch for this one?

Any help will be certainly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have a very repeatable issue, that others have been dealing with as well, where Firefox will frequently disconnect Twitch chat after a period of time and go through a loop of disconnecting/reconnecting.

This is ONLY on Firefox, I can run Chrome or other browsers simultaneously with Firefox and Firefox will disconnect when others do not.

I am not sure what is occurring, but I know it only happens after a while. Like maybe after 30+ minutes of watching a stream, the chat will start skipping other users inputs, just show my own, then give me a Welcome to the chat connection and other messages will start appearing again. Once it hits this hang-up period, it starts disconnecting frequently.

I cannot find any resolution and there are no resources or articles about this, but I made a post on reddit and multiple users reported the same thing.

I have discovered Major problem with Firefox which affects the use of my btinternet.com email account . Since the recent update I am no longer able to add the contact name to a new email which I wish to compose automatically from my contacts (I am required to type it in full. I can still do it, with the shortcut of typing in the first 3 letters, when using other browsers such as Google or Edge or the Outlook muti mail account service but generally prefer Firefox. If this situation prevails I will ditch Firefox as speed of communication and addressing is of the essence to me. Are Firefox aware and are they correcting things?

Could any settings have been altered by the update - which contribute to my problem?

When I try to change the wallpaper in WhatsApp, Firefox freezes completely. I have Windows 11 Home 25H2 on a Dell Ultra 9 PC with 64GB RAM.

I've taken these measures without success:

  1. Logged out of WhatsApp.
  2. Deleted cookies & browser cache.
  3. Logged into WhatsApp.
  4. Tried Troubleshoot mode.

This issue doesn't happen in Chrome or Edge. WhatsApp Support had no further advice to give.

Kind regards Gummo

Background is a little complex. We have been running Win 10 under the ESU, My wife had her box unintentionally do a Win 11 update. She then started a backup which then looked like it would take days, so she aborted it after a while and ran the procedure to revert to Win 10, which then completed successfully. I think she then rebooted and opened Firefox and all her prior windows were there and working, After a while they got slower and slower, so she closed Firefox, might have rebooted and restarted Firefox. She now has 37 windows that are all completely blank. There is a New Tab tab and now URL in any window,

Is there any way that would likely recover all those open windows? Or, at least the URLs of all the tabs?

Afternoon,

I've used this account for a long time and today I had to reset my PC.

I was always signed into to Firefox to manage my bookmarks/passwords/history, however I've signed in now and everything is gone.

It won't sync up. I've tried removing the profile folders, copying them out, uninstalling/reinstalling firefox but nothing is working.

I tried to disable Windows defender, but that didn't do anything either.

The version I had at the time was Mozilla Firefox (x64 en-GB) Mozilla 147.0 which is the same version.

Is there anything that can be looked at, to see what has happened to the data I has?

Hi,

I use FF 146.0.1 64-bit on MacOs Sonoma.

I experience this weird FF behaviour. I usually keep FF open all the time. After a while, days, maybe weeks, some UI elements start flashing when I hover the mouse above them. As an example, I use the whatsapp web UI. When this happens, I cannot click anymore on the emoji icon (on the right side of the message) to add an emoji icon to a message because that icon is flashing like crazy when I hover the mouse above it, and when I click the mouse I cannot hit it. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it. What I usually do is I restart the browser and then it gets its brains back.

I am just curious if any of you experienced this. It starts to become annoying.

Thanks

Firefox recently started asking for a profile when I tried opening a link from email but, not having a profile, I ignored it. If I copied the link into my firefox browser (already open) I could see the link contents, i.e. page(s) opened. Since then I have closed Firefox and now get asked about a profile and have tried using original and creating a new one. We have, unfortunately, reinstalled firefox so this is now more complex. At present, whether I login to Mozilla account or not, my passwords, history etc are no longer on my laptop, despite supposedly being connected. Firefox on my phone is currently the only source of my passwords etc, which is not good as I cannot export from there!

Can I restore this info somehow? We've tried a few suggestions found on the web, but no good yet.

Has something changed recently? My husband got the same profile request on opening Firefox but it worked when he selected use original/default profile.

I just started getting a message saying Facebook was breached back in 2023. Never got any message prior to this week. Situation is: I moved to a new city and can no longer see ANY of my passwords saved on Firefox. It's basically saying I have to change them ALL! Even if I tried, it's required to know the previous password to change the password on many, if not ALL the account passwords. The message says I was breached, but I wasn't. FIX IT PLEASE!!!
