I enter the primary password for saved password when starting FF as prompted. It takes password fine and works just fine on sites just as designed and has worked for years. Lately last couple weeks since last update to 132.0.1 I notice a change. I didn't notice before this update. When starting Firefox it asks for primary password which is normal, I enter it and all is fine. I can go to sites and all works fine, passwords and user id are entered when prompted. However, later in the day when I go to a site wanting password, I get the prompt to enter primary password again. That never use to happen, once I entered the primary password, it didn't prompt again unless Firefox was restarted. Has anyone else seen this? Maybe it started and I just didn't notice some time ago. I know it wasn't that long ago the primary password prompt didn't have the little eye so you could see what you typed. I liked that, because FF for whatever reason wasn't always realizing I had the shift key pressed. Now with the eyeball I can see that it doesn't have what I typed, but that is not the problem I am asking about. Below is what Mozilla says about primary password:

Important: After you have defined and set your Primary Password, you will be prompted to enter it once for each Firefox session, when Firefox needs access to your stored passwords. This also applies if you want to add, remove or show a password.

I have no idea what happened but somehow the primary password I had set up many years ago no longer is working. I have tried every interaction of this password and have even tried to reset the primary password meaning I have lost all of my saved passwords but even then I can not reset the password or even start to re-save my passwords. I can not even sync anything right now with my account.

I am not that computer or code literate and am extremely lost on what to do right now.

I have a handful of different reddit accounts. Each has its own password and they're all saved in Firefox's default password manager.

Say I'm logged out and go to log in. If I click on the first field, which is "Email or username," I'm given only two options: one is my email and the other is one of the usernames. If I click on the second field, which is "Password," I'm given all the passwords I've saved.

Obviously, when I click on "Email or username", I want all the saved usernames to appear. If I could select a password and that would auto-fill the appropriate username, that would be almost as good, but that doesn't work either.

What's most mysterious is that in the saved password list, Firefox doesn't have any information associating my email with reddit specifically. And the one username that I have the option to select is always the same one, and I don't know why it's that one in particular. It's not the oldest, or the newest, or the most recently used.

Any help would be appreciated!

Recently several apps that I have used for a long time are, for the first time, requiring 2 factor authentication, including Facebook. Additionally, apps which I had accessed with user name & password, now saved and unchanged, but that I do not "own" are also requiring two factor authentication - in particular, Google Drive. Has something changed?

Is it possible to add a feature of a description/comment to the about:logins so that you can specify what the u/p is for?

ie, i have sites using ip addresses (that must not be given hostnames) that have a u/p but could do with a description to say what they are for. ie2, i have a website that is used to connect to different devices where the username is always a certain username, but with a different password per device. Firefox offers to change the password saved (but it would be changing it for all devices, not that particular one).
